1974 Declaration by World Muslim League (Rabita al-Alam al-Islami)

In 1974, the World Muslim League met at Mecca, Arabia and told the world that Ahmadiyya was not to be trusted.  King Faisal was heavily involved, his murder as few years later was hailed by Ahmadi’s as a sign from their God.

The declaration

1974 Declaration by World Muslim League
(Rabita al-Alam al-Islami)

Mohammad Bashir

World Muslim League held its annual conference at Makkah Al-Mukaramma Saudi Arabia from 14th to 18th of Rabiul Awwal 1394 H (April 1974) in which 140 delegations of Muslim countries and organizations from all over the world participated. I (Mohammad Bashir) too was there in this Conference alongwith the other journalists from all over the world. The Conference unanimously adopted the following Resolution regarding Qadianism.

Qadianism or Ahmadiyyat: It is a subversive movement against Islam and the Muslim world, which falsely and decietfully claims to be an Islamic sect; who under the guise of Islam and for the sake of mundane interests contrives and plans to damage the very foundations of Islam. Its eminent deviations from the basic Islamic principles are as follows:

  1. Its founder claimed that he was a Prophet.
  2. They deliberately distort the meanings of the verses of the Holy Quran.
  3. They decalred that Jehad has been obolished.

Qadianism was originally fostered by the British imperialism. Hence it has been flourishing under her flag. This movement has completely been disloyal to and dishonest in affairs of the Muslim Ummah. Rather, it has been loyal to Imperialism and Zionism. It has deep associations and cooperation with the anti Islamic forces and teachings especially through the following nefarious methods:

    • Construction of mosques with the assistance of the anti Islamic forces wherin the misleading Qadiani thoughts are imparted to the people.
    • Opening of schools institutions and orphanages wherein the people are taught and trained as to how they can be more anti Islamic in their activities. They also published the corrupted versions of the Holy Quran in different local and international languages.

In order to combat these dangers, the Conference recommends the following measures:

    1. All the Muslim organization in the world must keep a vigilant eye on all the activities of Qadianisin their respective countries; to confine them all strictly to their schools, institutions and orphanages only. Moreover he Muslims of the world be shown the true picture of Qadianism and be briefed of their various tactics so that the Muslims of the world be saved from their designs .
    2. They must be declared non Muslims and ousted form the fold of Islam. And be barred to enter the Holy lands.
    3. There must be no dealings with the Qadianis. They must be coycotted socially , economically and culturally Nor they be married with or to Nor they be allowed to be buried in the Muslims graveyards. And they be treated like other non Muslims.
    4. All the Muslim countries must impose restrictions on the activities of the claimant of Prophethood Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadiani’s followers; must declare them a non Muslim minority must not etrust them them with any post of responsibility in any Muslim country.
    5. The alterations effected by them in the Holy Quran must be made public and the people be briefed of them and all these be prohibited for further publication.
    6. All such groups as are deviators from islam must be treated at par with the Qadianis.

Mirza Nasir Ahmad claims that he was not in Rabwah during the train attacks of May 29th, 1974

The Mirza family planned the Rabwah Train attacks perfectly.  Mirza Tahir Ahmad is totally missing from the scene.  They did this as a first step to moving out of Pakistan.  Mirza Nasir Ahmad claims that he was 12 miles away and didn’t even ask any Ahmadi about the attack.  Mirza Tahir Ahmad doesn’t have an alibi in terms of his whereabouts.

Mirza Nasir Ahmad’s explanation as given to the Samdani Commission
“””Mirza Nasir Ahmed, head of the Ahmadiyya Community, told the tribunal holding inquiry into the Rabwah Railway Station Incident during his statement that on May 29, when the incident took place he was not present in Rabwah and had gone to his lands about 12 miles away.  On his return the same day, he received reports of the incident and from the them came to believe that the Jamaat-i-Ahmadiyya had no hand in the incident.

The statement of Mirza Nasir Ahmad and that of Agha Shorish Kashmiri, chief of the Anjuman-i-Tahafuz-i-Khatmi-Nubuwwat, which were recorded in camera by the Tribunal were later, allowed to be published.

Mirza Nasir Ahmad said that the Jamaat-i-Ahmadiya’s involvement in such an incident was impossible.  He said neither Jamaat-i-Ahmadiya, nor any of its sub-organization or some group of persons attached to them could plan such an incident.  He felt that the plan of the incident might have been prepared by the united opposition parties or by a group of opportunist elements of the ruling party.

According to witness (Mirza Nasir Ahmad), the responsibility of the incident lay with the Provincial government and not the federal government.  The witness added that certain persons of Rabwah were also involved in the May 29 incident.  However, they had not done so under the directions from any party of organization.

He admitted that in his congregational address on May 31, he had said that the May 29 incident was pre-planned.  He said, he said so in view of some subsequent happenings specially the disturbances that took place at Lyallpur.

On a question from the Tribunal as to why he did not bother to get information about the incident, the witness (Mirza Nasir Ahmad) said because he did not attach much importance to it as such happenings had become common during the last three years.

According to the witness (mirza nasir Ahmad), the police had made indiscriminate arrests in connection with the Rabwah incident and even some Non-Ahmadi’s had also been arrested.  He said he could not say if some foreign power also was behind the incident.

Asked about his interview to correspondent of the Associated Press of America, the Ahmadiyya Chief said his interview had been somewhat misreported.  He said it was not true that the Pakistan Air Force planes had given a salute at the last annual convention of the Jamaat-i-Ahmadiyya at Rabwah.

Mirza Nasir Ahmed said it was not true that he wanted to purchase a Canadian radio transmitter having a range from 2500 to 3000 miles.

However, he said the Jamaat-i-Ahmadiyya intended to install a broadcasting station in Nigeria and for this purpose the Ahmadi’s all over the world had made contributions.

Agha Shorish Kashmiri, in his statement, said said that on May 29, Mr. Afzal Saeed, Private Secretary to the Prime Minister had contacted him on telephone to give a message from the Prime Minister.  In his message Mr. Bhutto had told the witness (agha shorish) that some foreign powers were out to disintegrate the country.  The Premier expressed the desire that the opposition leaders should help the Government maintain law and order situation so as to foil the evil designs of the enemies—PPI.””””

Ahmadi mission in Israel, as written in the Pakistan Times on June 18th, 1974

We wanted to share another article from the Pakistan Times which was published during the Samdani Commission and other investigations in Rabwah.

Some facts
1. Mr. Abdul Sami seems to be in the dark in terms of the Ahmadi mission in Israel.  Most Ahmadi’s play dumb and stupid however. The truth is, Israel would never give Ahmadi’s a visa from Pakistan.  Because of this, Ahmadiyya leadership always sent an Ahmadi mullah from India to their mission in Israel, and that Ahmadi-mullah would be in-charge of that mission.  Further, an Arab was local jamaat president, however, he has less power then the Ahmadi-mullah.

Ahmadi Mission in Israel

“”An Ahmadi mission in functioning in Israel, stated Mr. Abdul Sami, station master of Rabwah Railway Station, during his cross examination on Monday before the Tribunal comprising Mr. Justice K.M.A. Samdani of the Lahore High Court inquiring into the Rabwah incident.

He, however, submitted he did not know if the instructions to the Ahmadia mission in Israel were issued from Rabwah.

Later, when a counsel for the Ahmadia community asked him questions about the mission in Israel, the witness clarified that mission was headed by a local Arab and that it had been functioning there since the time when Israel had not emerged as a state.

Earlier replying to a question, he said 10-12 missions were sent abroad every year by the Ahmadia community.

In reply to cross-examination, Mirza Sami stated that it was true that free copies of the “Daily Alfazal”, an official organ of the Ahmadia community used to be distributed among non-Ahmadi passengers in trains during their stoppage at the Rabwah railway station.  The distribution of the newspaper in vogue from October , 1973, had been discontinued for the past 3 or 4 months because some of the Non-Ahmadis had resented it.

Replying to questions by C.M. Latif Rawnm, the witness conceded that the general body of Muslims did not hold a good opinion about the Ahmadis because of their faith.  Asked about the people’s reaction to distribution of literature on Ahmadiat, among the non-Ahmadis, the witness said: “Some people accept the gift without resentment, but some resent it”.

Eye-witnesses state that Ahmadis had revolvers during the Rabwah incident, Pakistan Times, June 19th, 1974

We have written about the Rabwah incident at length, see here.  And here.  Read this to get caught up on info.

Our notes from the testimony of eye-witnesses
1—Ahmadis planned this attack.
2—Ahmadis boarded the train and attacked defense-less teenagers with weapons.
3—A few Ahmadis were carrying revolvers.
4—This was a  terrorist attack ordered by the Khalifa

The story from the Pakistan Times

“””””””Mr. Arbab Alam, Final year student of the Nishter Medical College, Multan and President of the Students Union of his college, who was injured during the disturbances at Rabwah Railway Station on May 29, stated on Thursday that two of the assailants had revolvers with them.

He was recording his evidence before the Tribunal comprising Mr. Justice K.M.A Samdani, inquiring into the Rabwah incident.

The witness stated that in order to force open a door of a smaller compartment where the students of NMC (Nishter Medical College) had taken refuge, one of the men armed had threatened to fire.  At this stage another man entered the compartment and tapped the shoulder of the man holding the revolver and told him that the time to use weapon had not yet come.

He stated some of the people who had launched the attack on NMC students were armed with hockey sticks, chains, small hammers and whips.  One of them was carrying a sword, he added.

Narrating the incident, Mr. Arbab Alam stated that as soon as the trained stopped, they started hitting the students who were sitting on seats on the platform side of windows with their respective weapons.  They hit the windows of the compartment with small hammers, the witness added.

“I told the students not to get perturbed and directed them to draw the shutters and close the doors of the compartment.  But they could not go close to the windows because of the attack.  However, they managed to draw the shutters with much difficulty.  But one of the windows got stuck and could not be closed.  Meanwhile the crowd started pelting stones through the half-closed window, the Mob also tried to use lathis (a large bamboo stick) and small hammers through the window.  The students however managed to check the attack by obstructing the half-closed window with holdalls”

In the meantime, Mr. Arbab Alam stated the mob broke open one of the doors and entered the bogie upon which the witness directed other students to move to the rear towards the small compartment of the bogie and close it from the inside.  Hardly the students had moved to the rear, a group of 15 to 20 persons entered the compartment and two of them began throwing out students’ luggage on the platform and yard side as well.

The witness who was in the middle of the compartment enquired of the intruders if someone among the students had misbehaved with them and “I assured them that if anyone had, I would call for his explanation” he stated.

“”Meanwhile, two or three of them began pulling a sick student who was lying on an upper berth.  As the sick student resisted they could not pull him down from the berth.  Having failed to do so, they attacked him with small hammers.  He, however, fell off and later managed to run away to the rear compartment.  Later when they addressed me, enquiring as to who was the group in-charge of the students, I told them that it was I.  Meanwhile one of them hit me with a tea-mug, which they had picked up from our compartment.  As my head reeled with the blow, obliging me to seek support against a side-window, someone hit me from behind with something I became semi-unconscious and fell down.  However, shortly afterwards, I regained my senses.  But I continued to lie on the aisle and I could hear the noise.”””

As Mr. Arbab lay there, he noticed that intruders were trying to push the smaller compartment of the bogie.

In the meantime, he stated, Mr. Amin, another student of his college and who happened to be Nazim of Islami Jamiat-i-Tulaba, entered his compartment.  “I saw him bleeding from his head, and his clothes were stained with blood” he stated.  The witness told Mr. Amin that as he was unable top move he should lie on a lower berth.  Some time later some railway men visited them in the compartment and assured them that the assailants had gone, he deposed.

The witness stated that he had heard slogans of “Mirzaiiat-zindabad”, Mohammadiyat murdabad”. “Mirza Ghulam Ahmad ki jai” and “Nishtat ke Musle hai hai”.  In addition to hearing the slogans, while lying on the aisle of the compartment, he overheard people talking that the bogie should be disconnected from the train.  Some said that it should be set on fire, while some others suggested that they should take us  (NMC students) away and wait for some one to come and take them.

Earlier, the witness stated six men boarded the students’ bogie at Sarghoda.  When the NMC students objected to their presence in their bogie, they got off the train at the next station –Shaheenabad.  It were these 6 men, he said, whom he saw calling the crowd at the Rabwah railway station with the help of their hands while standing in the doorway of the last bogies of the train.

Following the attack, Mr. Arbab stated, 13 NMC students including himself were admitted to Nishtar Hospital, Multan.  “I was discharged from the hospital on June 11th, he stated.

Earlier, he added, the injured students had objected to the rendering of first aid to them at Lyallpur railway station by Mr. Abdul Wali, stated to be a Mirzai.

Mr. Ejaz Hussain Batalvi, counsel for the Ahmadiyya community, asked Mr. Arbab Alam a number of questions pertaining to internal politics of Nishtar Medical College to contend that students of the institution were divided into 2 hostile groups and this hostility had some bearing on the Rabwah incident.

Cross-examined, the witness stated that he had not stepped out of his compartment at Rabwah on May 29, in reply to another question, he stated: “I do not know whether or not the luggage of students was thrown out of the train and was later collected, nor did I enquire about it from students.”

Narrating the incident that occurred on May 22 while the NMC students were travelling in the Peshawar-bound Chenab Express, indicated that the incident was a sequel to the exception taken by students to the distribution of the daily Al-Fazl among them and preaching by an Ahmadi at the Rabwah railway station.

The incident had resulted in the raising of slogans by the students which were “Narraa-i-Takbir” “allah-o-akbar” “Islam-zindabad” “Khatme Nabuwwat zindabad” “Mirzaiyat murdabad”and “Mirzai thah”, he stated.

Earlier, Mr. Bashir Ahmad of Sarghoda who was travelling on the Chenab Express on May 29 from Sarghoda on his way to Quetta, stated that a boy in his compartment had pulled the chain when the train steamed into the Rabwah station.  As soon as the train stopped, he said, a group of 15-16 young men entered his compartment.  They caught hold of one of the students there and began belaboring him.  After beating one, they pounced upon another but did not beat him severely.  The student who the intruders had earlier beaten up later took refuge under one of the seats of the compartment to save his life from the subsequent assaults, he said.  The attacked student has also sought his protection, he added.

Later, he said a group of 10 persons entered the compartment, looking for students, but when we told them the men there was none, they left, he said.  The intruders, he said were armed with sticks, one of them was carrying a whip and the rest of them were empty handed, the witness stated that he had seen various groups of persons entering different compartments.  However, I cannot say what they did in the compartments, he added.

Cross-examined by Mr. Ejaz Hussain Batalvi, the witness stated “we had not intervened to rescue the students because we were afraid that we might be beaten up.”  In reply to a question, he said while beating up those boys, the assailants were saying, “Come along we will give you the hooris”

Ch. Rafique Ahmad Bajwa, one of the counsel appearing in the inquiry, prayed the tribunal to summon confidential reports submitted by the Deputy Commissioner, Jhang, to the Home secretary from December 1873 to May 1974.

As the inquiry was in progress, a man from Jhang, stated to be a lawyer, appeared before the tribunal and sought permission to file documents pertaining to land bought by the Ahmadia community in Rabwah.  He submitted the Ahmadis had bought the land for Rs. 250 per square.  He indicated that Ahmadis had been violating the agreement under which the land was transferred to them.

Mirza Nasir Ahmad discussed his father’s and uncle’s statements on Takfir in 1974 at the National Assembly hearings

Ahmadis are trained to lie about everything.  I mean everything.  Mirza Nasir Ahmad was forced to talk about his father’s, grandfathers and uncles statements wherein they did Takfir on the whole Muslim community.  This happened in 1974, at the NA hearings on Ahmadiyya.  In the below, my team and I have translated and collected an interesting exchange wherein Mirza Nasir Ahmad goes to call all Muslims as Kafirs.

Read other essays on Ahmadiyya Takfir here

The exchange
Yahya Bakhtiar. Mirza sb reply to my question has not been clear yet. I asked about a man to whom the message of Mirza Ghulam Qadiani sb has been conveyed but he is not convinced,in which category would you place him? Is he a kafir.?

Mirza Nasir . In what sense?

Yahya Bakhtiar. In the sense that he do not believe in a prophet. Although he says he is Ummati of Muhammad saw and says i have complete faith in Him (pbuh). For such person U said yesterday that he is a kafir but not out of the circle of islam.

Mirza Nasir. Yes I stated that today with references of hadis.

Yahya Bakhtar. Those who did not hear of Mirza, are they kafir and of which category or not kafir according to your teaching and writings.?

Mirza Nasir. In which category would u place those who do not believe in Moosa and Eissa a.s ?

Yahya Bakhtiar. Mirza sb I am asking to u about this?

Mirza Nasir. He would fall in the same category as that of the one who do not believe in Moosa and Essa a.s.

Yahya Bakhtiar. Because Mirza Bashir had said he is kafir even if he has not heard of Mirza sahib. So U are saying both are in same category of kufar, the one to whome Mirza sb,s message reached and the one who has not heard of him.

Mirza Nasir . Category is not the same. But decree will be issued on prima facie. We say kafir in limited sense.
Yahaya Bakhtiyar . Even if he is not aware of the name of Mirza sb.?

Mirza Nasir . If a man born in Moscow 7 years ago he is not aware of the name of Moosa Essa a,s and Muhammad s.a.w. He has no Iman.

Yahya Bakhtiar. Mirza sb you have just said that when i say I am a musalman, it is not for Mufti Mahmood and Molana Modoodi, to say that I am not.

Mirza Nasir. I am saying this too now.

Yahya Bakhtiar . Then why do U say if i decide then no body has to interfere . Mirza sb.

Mirza Nasir . No no i have to decide it for myself and others would have to decide for themselves.

Yahya Bakhtiar. But the point is this that you are deciding for others
Mirza Nasir. No I am not.

Yahya Bakhtiar. U r deciding that so and so class is a kafir of this category and so and so is a kafir of that category. In that case U have to give this right to others too.

Mirza Nasir. I did not say that.

Yahya Bakhtiar. I am talking of a criteria you laid down. What i said yesterday was, if we acquire certain right for us we have to concede the same for others too.

Mirza Nasir , of course I am not a man of superior race. I am a humble person.

Yahya Bakhtiar. Mirza sb If u claim to be muslim u have the right to claim that . Similarly if Mufti Mahmood says he is a Muslim he has the right to say that. U have no right to stop him from claiming to be muslim.

Mirza Nasir. Yes absolutely.

Yahya Bukhtiar Now here a question arises as to which category u place Mufti Mahmood as per your writings and teachings. U say he falls under that category of Kufar.

Mirza Nasir. No no i don,t say that. I said muslim of a certain category.

Yahya Bakhtiar. Kafir of a certain category. So in that case they have the right to call u muslim of certain category. Or not muslim at all.

Mirza Nasir. Yes absolutely. But they do not have the right to negate our claim of being muslims

Yahya Bakhtiar . See you have made three categories.
Certain category of people are out of islam and ummat,

Mirza Nasir. Yes like the category of Abu jahal and many more.

Yahya Bakhtiar. The other category is un-sincere who will get more punishment than other and they are kafir too.

Mirza Nasir . I did not say they will get more punishment, it is upto Allah swt.

Yahya Bakhtiar. Words like Sinful and hell bound were used.

Mirza Nasir . That has been said with reference to Muhammad Bin Abdul Wahab and Ibn e Temiya. I had said this has been said in earlier books like “Mufridat e Raghib” which tell us that there are different kinds of Iman and different types of Kufar.

Yahya Bakhtiar. Mirza sb plz tell us again what you said is that word kufar was used for few sinners. Do the words out of Islam has also been used for such persons?

Mirza Nasir Ahmad. “Kharaja minal islam”( he went out of Islam)was used .

Yahya Bahtiar. And still u think they r muslims

Mirza Nasir . Those who said like this are also of this opinion.

Yahya Bakhtiar. Of course we need the reference which says such class of person is muslim and still out of fold of Islam.

Mirza Nasir. U can not understand this until u have deep study of Quraan and Ahadis.

Yahya Bakhtiar. Here i am saying that Mirza sb (Mgaq) saying out of fold of Islam and Kafir. And u say!

Mirza Nasir. I say Nabi Pak saw saying that.

Yahya Bakhtiyar. Mirza sb (mgaq) using both kafir and out of fold of islam at a time what does that mean? He is using these words intentionally not superfluous.

Mirza Nasir. No.

Yahya Bakhtiar. One way he says kafir and out of fold of islam!

Mirza Nasir. Who says that?

Yahya Bakhtiar. Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood.

Mirza Nasir. Both words have been used in same sense.
Yahya Bakhtiar. In that case one part has become superfluous.

Mirza Nasir. All right take it as superfluous.

Yahya Bakhtiar. I would not take it as superfluous because I think he is very carefully using these words. He would not use a superfluous word.

Mirza Nasir. Even if it is against your faith.

Yahay Bakhtiar. No i want interpretation of your faith when  Mirza sb says for non ahmadi muslims that they are kafir and out of fold of islam. And still you say that they are Muslim.

Mirza Nasir . Of course I say that.

Yahya Bakhtiar. Well my understanding is that he (MBM)is clearly declaring non Ahmadi muslims are kafir and out of fold of islam.

Mirza Nasir. I have been raised and part of that family i say he never took that meaning.

Yahya Bakhtiyar. Didn,t he (mbm) say kafir.?
Session adjourned.

The Samdani Commission interviewed Mr. Arbab Alam, President of the Student Union–Nishter Medical College, he was an eye witness—Pakistan Times, June 20th, 1974

Ahmadis will go at any length to prove that all of their critics and terrorists, criminals and worthy of death.  In my many dealings with Ahmadis I have learned that they called the teenage students from the Nishter Medical College as terrorists.  Since they have no other way to defend the actions of the Ahmadis of Rabwah, as they brutally assaulted a train full of unarmed teenagers.  In the below, I am giving the testimony of the person who was in-charge of the Nishter Medical Students as they toured the Punjab in May of 1974.  He was on the train when it stopped in Rabwah on May 22nd, and was on the train when Ahmadis terrorized innocent teenagers on May 29th.

Mr. Arbab Alam was interviewed by the Samdani commission in mid-June of 1974

“””Mr. Arbab Alam, President of the Nishter Medical College Students Union, Multan, on Wednesday expressed  the view that the Rabwah incident was a part of the Mirzai’s plan to grab power in the country with the help of senior Army officers of their community.

The witness expressed the view when Mr. Rafique Ahmad Bajwa, counsel for Majlis-i-Amal, Tahufuz-i-Khatm-i-Nabuwwat, Qadiyani Mahasaba Committee and Pakistan Ittehad Party elicited the witness’s impression about the incident during the cross-examination before the Tribunal comprising Mr. Justice K.M.A. Samdani, inquiring into the Rabwah incidents.

Mr. Arbab stated that “my impression is that May 29 incident at Rabwah was the creation of a plan hatched by the Mirzais to create large-scale disturbances in the country and to use those disturbances to bring the Army into power and thus to gain control of the country through the Ahmadi Generals.  According to my information 4 or 5 senior most Generals after the Chief of Staff, Pakistan Army were Ahmadis.

Replying to cross examination he further states that the basis of his information was the fact that the incident of May 22 at Rabwah railway station was not serious enough to justify the happenings of May 29.  Another reason which obliged him to form this impression, he said, was that one of the students, beaten up in the attack had later told him that while belabouring him, an assailant was that saying that, “it was wrong to consider Mirzais a minority.  He (assailant) declared that they were in majority and would rule the country.”

Cross-examined, the witness stated: “I know that Air Marshal (Retd) Zafar Chaudhry is a Mirzai”.  He agreed to the counsel’s suggestion that the removal of Mr. Zafar Chaudhry from service had also made some contribution to the incident.  “In my opinion.” he said.  “The Mirzais tried to create disturbances before other high ranking officers of their community could be removed from the Army”.

Replying to a question, he stated that ever since the PPP gained power in the country it had turned against the students belonging to Islami Jamiat-e-Tulaba (IJT) and their support.  It is also true, he said, that in this respect, “they had stooped so low that no civilised government would do that”.  He further stated that “Khatam-e-Nubawaat was a part of of the creed of IJT.

Cross-examined by Mr. Ejaz BUssain Batalvi, the witness said that as a medical man he would treat all patients irrespective of their caste, creed or faith.

Replying to another question he said that he had not seen anybody resorting to firing at Rabwah on May 29.

In reply to a question, he stated that a number of distinguished persons including Mian Mohammad Tufail, Mr. Mohammad Sadiq Malhi, a Punjab Minister President of the local Muslim League Multan and an MPA of Sadiqabad had visited him in Multan to inquire about his welfare.  Replying to another question, the witness stated that “I do not know if the effects of Ahmadi students were destroyed and set on fire in the college hostel after the incident”.

Mr. Hussain Bakhsh, Train Examiner, Multan Cantonment stated that the bogie of the Chenab Express in which the students were travelling had been detached from the train at Multan to assess the damage suffered by it.  He stated since the police directed the railway staff not to carry out any repairs as it would be required for inspection, no repairs had been carried out so far.  He stated that when, “I examined the bogie, there was no luggage.  However there were some stones and pieces of broken glass which Mr. Abdul Sattar, SHO, Multan had collected there.

Recording his evidence, Mr. Aftab Mahmood, a Fourth Year student of the NMC stated that one of the assailants had hit him on the head with a bicycle chain during the attack.  Earlier, one of the them had hit him with a hockey stick.  Later a group of people had beaten him with lathis.  During the attack, he said his trousers were torn and his eye-glasses fell down.  After the incident, a police man came to him but by that time, “I was almost unconscious and I do not know what he told the students, I gained senses when I was taken to the Nishter Hospital.”.   Cross-examined by Mr. Ejaz Hussain Batalvi, the witness conceded that he was present in the court room when the evidence of Mr. Arbab Alam was being recorded.

Mr. Khalid Abdullah narrated the incidents of May 22 and May 29.  He stated that a group of persons had dragged him out of the bogie on May 29 and gave him a beating after throwing him on the platform.  He also produced his blood-stained shirt before the Tribunal.

Mr. Rafiq Ahmad Bajwa on Wednesday placed on record a concise statement in respect of the viewpoint to be represented before the Tribunal on behalf of the Majlis-a-Amal, Tahafuz-a-Khatam-e-Nubawat, Qadiyani Mahasaba Committee and Pakistan Ittchad Party.

The statement reads as under:

“Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, head of the Ahmadia community as an agent of the British Government made himself available to conspire against the Muslims who had refused to reconcile with the British Government as conquerors of India and it was with this purpose in view that he proclaimed himself to be a Mujadid, Masih-a-Maood, a Nabi and also assumed various other titles.  His proclamation to the effect that he was Masih-e-Maood and that there could be a prophet after the Prophet (peace be upon him), was a part of the conspiracy against the Indian Muslims for political resources.

The Ahmadis have all along been opposed to the creation of Pakistan and after the creation of Pakistan they have always acted as agents to foreign powers  and have played an active part in causing damage to Islam, the ideology of Pakistan, the society of Pakistan and the State.”

“The Ahmadis have been looking forward to be a supreme power in Pakistan so that they may achieve their ultimate end with the least difficulty.  The incident of May 29 was a result of premeditated conspiracy for the aforementioned ends where by high-ups of the Ahmadiyya community intended to create disturbances and situation of law and order in Pakistan so that the intervention of the Army be justified.  It was their design to have a head of a state of their own choice through the intervention of the Army.  They had also a design that in case they may not be successful in having an effective intervention of the Army, then a rift in the Army be created to justify foreign intervention.

“They designed to make believe the foreign governments and the United Nations that they were not safe in Pakistan and, therefore the foreign governments and the United Nations may intervene.

“A person who believes that there can be a prophet after the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), violates the injunctions of the Quran to the effect of rendering himself a non-Muslim.  A person who proclaims and propagates in a manner whereby a part of the Holy Quran is impliedly or expressly repealed, renders himself a non-Muslim.

“The stand taken by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad vis-a-vis being an Ummati and is only a Zilli and ‘Barozi Nabi” is treacherous to mislead the Muslims in general with alterior motives and for his own ends.

“It is necessary that the belief that there can be a prophet after the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) be banned from promulgation of an effective law, violation of which be made penally punishable.

Pakistani-Muslims accused the Govt. of Pakistan (in 1974) of illegally giving Rabwah to Ahmadis

As we all know, Rabwah was albeit given to Ahmadis for almost free in 1948.  Zafrullah Khan made this deal behind the scenes, and in collusion with his Khalifa, Mirza Basheer-uddin Mahmud Ahmad, in fact, this may have been the sole reason that the Khalifa was willing to move from Qadian, India.  Nonetheless, I have a newspaper clipping from the Pakistan-Times, June 20th, 1974.  This report in this newspaper proves that it was a fraudulent deal and never should have happened.  Nonetheless, Ahmadis benefited immensely from this land-grant.  Further, he also mentioned that the Ahmadis of Rabwah had been getting from the govt. in terms of development and should be audited.

Rabwah is on a 99-year lease, which expires in 2048
I will post more info on this soon, however, the Khalifa and company signed a 99-year lease and were able to build their cult from a headquarters.  They began selling land to Ahmadis on sub-lease and filled their bank accounts with the money of dedicated Ahmadis.  Later on, they took this money and stored it in Panama and were caught.

“””Nawab Iftikhar Ahmad Ansari, a member of the Pakistan Bar Council and ex-member of the West Pakistan Assembly, on Wednesday filed a petition before the Tribunal inquiring into the Rabwah incident praying for permission for placing on record documents pertaining to the grant of Rabwah land to the Anjuman-a-Ahmadia.

The petitioner maintained that grant of 1,033 acres, seven kanals, and eight marlas of land for Rs. 10,340 by the Governor of the Punjab to the chief of the Anjuman could not be made under the Colonisation of Government Lands Act.  He submitted that the transfer of proprietary rights in respect of land in the garb of grant/lease was an abuse of the process of law and the authority vested in the granter.  He prayed the Tribunal that the document dated June 22, 1948, containing conditions for the transfer of land and relevant file be examined and placed on record.  He also sought a detailed report in respect of public money utilised for development in Rabwah from time to time.

The Tribunal allowed him to place the document on record.””””
