Mirza Ghulam Ahmad had 5 written debates, NO ORAL Debates

Intro
We all know that MGA was unable to have oral debates with anyone, he stuttered terribly into his 50’s, his arabic was horrendous, and most of his speech was unintelligible.  MGA’s team did most of the writing on behalf of MGA anyway.  Further, Maulvi Abdul Karim Sialkoti was MGA’s mouthpiece, with Syed Muhammad Ahsan Amrohi working behind the scenes editing arabic and etc.

The hard evidence
1. March 1886 Hushiarpur with Master Murlidhar.
2, July 1891 at Ludhiana with Molana Muhammad Hussain Batalvi.
3. October 1891 at Delhi with Molvi Muhammad Bashir Bhopali
4. January 1892, at Lahore at Lahore with Molvi Abdul Hakim Kalanori
5. June 1892 at Amritsar Deputy Abdullah Athim.

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad’s first debate–1886, a written debate with Murlidhar

Intro
MGA only did written debates.  He wasn’t capable to even have any type of intelligent conversation with.  MGA had his first debate with a Hindu, and didn’t even properly finish the debate, MGA and his team then wrote about the entire scenario in Surma Chashm Arya (Collrium for the eyes of the Aryas).

The topics discussed in this book are:

  1. The miracle of the splitting of the moon by the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
  2. Is salvation eternal or a limited phase?
  3. The soul and the matter, whether they are uncreated and eternal, or they have been created by God.
  4. Comparison between the Holy Qur’an and the Vedas (the sacred scripture of the Hindus).

The book also contains a challenge in the form of a Mubahila (a prayer duel to prove the truth of a religious doctrine). It closes with a prize of Rs 500/ – for anyone who could refute satisfactorily the proofs adduced by Hadhrat Ahmad (as) in the book Surma Chashm Arya.

MGA vs. Murlidhar as explained per Dard, page 144-onwards

MURLIDHAR’S CONTROVERSY
“”At the end of these days of communion with God, Ahmadas saw a great number of people there and accepted many invitations of friends and acquaintances. In those days a religious controversy also took place there between him and Murlidhar, an account of which is to be found in his book entitled Surma Chashm Arya.

Murlidhar was a leading Arya Samajist of Hoshiarpur. He was a teacher of drawing in a local school. He came one day to Ahmadas in March 1886, and wanted to ask him a few questions about Islam. Though the Arya was not a seeker after truth but merely wanted to hold a controversy, Ahmadas accepted the challenge.

Murlidhar began, on the evening of March 11th, 1886, at the house of Ahmadas, with an attack on the miracle known as Shaqqul Qamar (the rending of the moon). The debate was to be carried on in writing by an exchange of two papers from each side. The papers were to be written there and then and read out in a public meeting. But Murlidhar did not wait to hear the final reply from Ahmadas. He left the meeting on the lame excuse that it had become too late for him to stay there. One of the audience, Shatru Ghan, repeatedly asked Murlidhar to wait, but he would not listen. The following are the names of a few of those who were present there that evening: Shatru Ghan, eldest son of Raja Rudder Sen, ruler of Suket; Shatranji, younger son of the Raja of Suket; Janmi Ji, another son of the Raja; Babu Mulraj, copyist; L. Ram Lachhman, a headmaster of Ludhiana; and Babu Har Kishan Das, a second master, of Hoshiarpur.

The second meeting took place at the house of Sh. Mehr Ali on March 14th, 1886. It was Ahmad’sas turn to start, but Murlidhar would not let him do so. He insisted that Ahmadas should first of all verify his statement made on the previous day to the effect that Swami Dayanand had written in the Satyarath Parkash that the souls of human beings fall as dew on vegetables and are born into this world after being swallowed by women. He insisted that Swami Dayanand had made no such statement. He was told that it was not right to drag the previous proceedings into the second meeting, and that, if he must have the reference, he could have it later 30. But he was obstinate. The audience protested against his attitude but he stuck to his point. To stop him from wasting time, Ahmadas gave him a pledge in writing that the required reference would be inserted in the report of the proceedings which was to be published. This was done, to the eternal shame of Murlidhar. The reference is: Page 263, Sam. 8, Edition 1875.

Ahmadas wrote the first paper in which he pointed out that, according to the teachings of the Arya Samaj, God could not create anything; and in so far as man could not attain to everlasting salvation, God was void of love. This paper was read out in one hour. Murlidhar spent more than an hour, not in explaining and vindicating the position of the Samaj, but in pointing out that Ahmadas raised two questions instead of one. Ahmadas removed his misunderstanding, and then he took three hours in writing his answer, which was even then not complete. It had to be read out incomplete because he said the remaining portion would later be supplied at his own convenience. He was pressed to complete his answer there in the meeting, in which hundreds of people had gathered. But he neither completed his answer nor handed over the written portion to Ahmadas for reply; and instead of finishing the debate as previously arranged, he left the meeting, as before, under an excuse that he had to attend another meeting of the Samaj. The following are the names of a few of those who were present in that meeting: Sh. Mehr Ali, M. Ilahi Bakhsh, Vakil; Dr. Mustafa Ali, Babu Ahmad Husain, Deputy Inspector of Police; MiyaĔ Abdul Hakim, Miyan Shahabuddin, dafadar; L. Nara’in Das Vakil; Pt. Jagan Nath, Vakil; L. Ram Lachhman, headmaster; B. Harkishan Das, L. Ganesh Das, Vakil; L. Sita Ram, Shatru Ghan, Shatranji, M. Gulab Singh, M. Ghulam Rasul, a teacher; and M. Fateh Din, a teacher.

Ahmadas was prepared to stay for two more days if Murlidhar desired to complete the debate but the latter did not agree; therefore, Ahmadas returned to Qadian on March 17th, 1886; in one of his letters dated March 11th, he had written that he would leave for Qadian, on Tuesday, March 16th, 1886. I have also seen a notebook of my uncle in which it is definitely written that the party reached Qadian on the 17th.

It may be noted here that the sole aim of Ahmad’sas controversy was to spread truth and refute error. It was entirely free from exaggeration, bitterness, and any show of spiritual pride. Ahmadas desired not to display his learning but to reveal the will of God. He loved not controversy for its own sake, but whenever he feared the truth to be in danger, he gladly undertook it as a holy duty. The modern man, on the contrary, refuses to take religion and theology seriously. It seems as though the many religious wars of the past have made him so fearful of conflict that he has swung to the other extreme and has developed a lamentable spirit of indifference towards the vital matters of faith. ‘It is a very shallow view that so long as a man’s conduct is honourable his creed is a matter of no importance. Conduct depends on character, and character is built on creed. That is a point worth insisting upon, for there are many people who, while admitting the importance of right conduct, on which the happiness and well-being of society depend, yet fail to see that morality and faith are necessarily bound up together. Figs do not grow on thistles.'”””

Munshi Indarman Moradabadi wanted a verbal debate..MGA wanted a written debate

Intro
In roughly 1884-1885, had a challenge going with MGA that included victory money of up to 2400 rupees (see Dard page 107).  However, MGA requested a written debate, in fact, MGA never had a verbal debate with anyone in his life.  This is just another piece of evidence.

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad vs. Molana Muhammad Hussain Batalvi and Muslims leaders in British-India in August of 1891

Intro
MGA avoided public debates, in fact, he only competed in 5 total debates in his 30- year career (1878–1908), and they were all written debates.  MGA stuttered and was thus incapable of articulating in any language.  In July 1891, MGA had a scheduled debate with Molana Muhammad Hussain Batalvi at Ludhiana and ran away from there on 31 July.

Summary of the scans in the below
( from Ishaat us sunnah Volume-14 , publication Year 1891, pages 2 onwards)

After being humiliated at Ludhiana, Mirza in his Ishtihar dated 1st August 1891, invited Batalvi to have a debate with him at Lahore. Batalvi replied that he is ready to debate with him at Lahore Peshawar or Qadian. However, MGA backed out yet again.

He then planned to try his luck at Dehli. He reached Dehli in October, 1891, where he published an Ishtihar challenging Molvi Syed Nazir Hussain for a debate he also put the name of Molvi Abdul Haq in his Ishtihar. MGA thought Molvi Nazir and Abdul Haq, due to their old age, would not come to face him and Molana Batalvi would also be far away from Dehli so he would get a “walk over.”

What happened was that Molvi Abdul Haq accepted the challenge and Molana Muhammad Hussain Batalvi (ever chasing MGA), also reached Delhi. Before the arrival of Molana Muhammad Hussain Batalvi, MGA had negotiated the debate on the following un reasonable terms and conditions:-

a.)Special permission of Deputy Commissioner should be issued in his name.
b.)A European officer should be ever present in the gathering.
c.) Debators should write with their hands and read over to public no munshi or Scribe is permitted.

But when Muhammad Hussain Batalvi reached Dehli, MGA went to Molana Abdul Haq and said your name was mentioned in the debate erroneously . He said I do not want to debate with you. Molvi Abdul Haq said he is ready to withdraw if you publish an ishtihar to this effect. So MGA issued an Ishtihar on 6th of October saying that he do not want to debate with Molvi Abdul haq because he had met him and found him a monk like person. He do not like to interact with govt officials hence he would debate only with Nazir Hussain who may keep Muhammad Hussain Batalvi with him for assistance during debate.

This trick, however failed when Molvi Abdul Haq replied in a published Ishtihar that he can arrange anything and invited Mirza sb to come to the Town Hall on 11th October for this debate otherwise he would be termed as liar. Mean time Muhammad Hussain Batalvi published Ishtihar inviting MGA to have debate with him if he loses then MGA may debate with Molvi Nazir Hussain. He requested him to come to the Chandni Mahal on 11th Oct, 1891 at 9.AM. The ishtihar further states that all terms and conditions laid by you are acceptable and we do not lay any terms and condition from our side. All arrangements have been finalized with the expenditures of hand sum amount.

MGA replied that he hates to debate with Molvi Muhammad Hussain and would have it with Molvi Nazir Hussain only. This refusal was accepted by Molvi Nazir Hussain and MGA was informed that his challenge to Debate with Molvi Nazir Hussain, has been accepted and he must come to Chandni Mahal on 11th Oct. However MGA breached this agreement on the pretext of law and order situation and wrote a letter to defer this debate till Ghulam Qadir would inform Deputy Commissioner.

On 5th October, Molvi Nazir Hussain wrote to MGA to come to his house and talk to him directly to remove his apprehensions, still MGA refused and said there should be a European officer in the debate. After that 14 letters were sent to MGA for debate from Ulema of Dehli inviting MGA, but he refused them all.

One of them was Molvi Abdul Majeed who invited MGA and offered a reward money of Rs 1000/-in case MGA prove his claims.  Molvi Rahim Bakhsh invited MGA, Molvi Mujaddid Ali Khan too invited MGA for debate on 10th Oct at Masjid Fatehpuri , Molvi Abdul Hamid invited MGA to come to the roof top of his house and he would be at his roof top, there would be Bazar between two and no risk of life would be there, but MGA did not agree and dared not to come out of his heavily guarded house.

MGA failure to debate at Chandni Mahal brought great humiliations to him. So he thought of washing of this defamation. He brought another Ishtihar dated 17 Oct 1891 wherein he used abusive language against Molvi Nazir Hussain and challenged to declare him liar in his claims and in his arguments under oath in open before general public. Molvi Nazir Hussain went to Jamia Masjid Dehli with general public and sent message to Mirza sb that he is ready to give such statement under oath now come to us in Jamia Masjid and state your claims and arguments before us.

This message was given to MGA through Nawab Saeeduddin Khan of Loharo, Molvi Abdul Majid and Mir Basharat Hussain Kotwal City.  Nevertheless, MGA refused again.

After prayer Molvi Abdul Majid, Nawab Saeeduddin Khan and Syed Bashir Hussain Inspector Police went to MGA and asked him to give them in writing that he would repent if Molvi Nazir Hussain rejects his claims and arguments on oath. MGA got puzzled on this demand and remained silent. However, his deputy Mullahs stood up and said we would repent after one month subject to the condition that Molvi Nazir Hussain would not fall ill or suffer from fever and headache during this period.

Subsequently, few questions were asked from Mirza sb through the City Superintendent Sahab Bahdur, as under:

City Superintendent: why Do you not cut short your arguments and agree to give a written statement.

MGA and his team:- we want to talk on the life and death issue of Jesus Pbuh and nothing else.
Molvi Abdul Majid :-We want to settle this issue including all of your claims. Do you have a proof to your claim of Messiah ship.

MGA and his team : same answer.

City Superintendent:– Addressing to Mirza sb, Are you Messiah? If yes what is the proof? Suppose Jesus has died then why should you be considered a Messiah give us a proof?

MGA :-Remains silent.

Khwaja Muhammad Yusuf from MGA side: addressing to Molvi Sahib , Hazrat if someone wants to be muslim why do do you not allow him to be?

Molvi sb: Yes if he repents he is our brother!
Khwaja sb: I can bring his written repentance just now. He would write it down that whatever he wrote against Quraan and Hadis is rejected and he is a muslim.

MGA wrote repentance but in the same language as that of he published in his Ishtihar of 12 October.

Molvi sb. He should write that he seeks repentance from Allah for whatever anti Islam he wrote in Tozihula maram, Fathe Islam and Izala auham.

After few more meaningless exchanges between the parties, the City Superintendent Sahab Bahadur announces to end the proceeding and MGA and his deputy mullahs returned under police escort.

MGA lost the debate with MOLVI MUHAMMAD BASHIR BHOPALI (1891)

Intro
MGA and his team only did written debates, this was how MGA got help from his team of ghost writers and debaters.  In today’s research, we have uncovered new data in terms of the debate that MGA lost in 1891, and at his own house in Qadian.  Dard mentions this incident on page 297-299.   Maulvi Muhammad Bashir Bhopali mentioned 4:159 as a main argument that Esa (As) was still alive.

The story

MIRZA DEBATE WITH MOLVI MUHAMMAD BASHIR BHOPALI

In October 1891 When Mirza was in Dehli and had recently escaped from the debate with Molvi Nazir Hussain in the Jamia Masjid Dehli, Molvi Muhammad Bashir Bhopali who was a high ranking Scholar and one of the disciples of Molvi Nazir, challenged Mirza Ghulam Qadiani for a debate.

Mirza Bashir Ahmad MA son of Mirza Qadiani in his book Seeratul Mahdi Volume 2 at page No 90-91 giving the accounts of this debate, writes:- “after 3 or 4 days of Jamia Masjid incident, Hazrat Masi e Moud had a debate with Molvi Muhammad Bashir Bhopali at his house (the house that MGA was staying at in Delhi). It was decided that both parties would exchange 5 papers of arguments and answers with each others but when Hazrat Masih e Moud saw that Same old arguments which were refuted earlier, were being repeated by Molvi Muhammad Bashir and no new argument is being advanced from the opponent, he ended the debate on 3 papers. Hazrat Masih e Moud did not care the humiliation and mockery of the opponents. This debate has been published with the title of Al Haq Dehli. Readers can see Hazrat sb ended the debate when Molvi sb had exhausted all his arguments and he was only doing repetition.”

On the contrary, the actual detailed accounts of this debate has been published in the contemporary Magazines , Al Haq Assarih and Tarikh e Mirza pages 42-44. This has been compiled by Muhammad Rafiq Dilawari, author of Book Raees e Qadian, pages 341-344. Author RQ says that some body sent the Ishtihar dated 6 October 1891 published by Mirza Qadiani, for scholar of Dehli, to Molvi Muhammad Bashir Bhopali as well, who sent a reply to the Ishtihar to Mirza Sahib whereby accepting his all terms and conditions for debate. The debate was agreed on the following terms and conditions:-

1,Government security would be provided.
2.It would be a written debate. Each party would write his arguments in the session and would hand over signed copy to other for reply.
3. Issue of Life of Hazrat Essa a.s would be taken up first. If Life of Essa a.s is proved Mirza would leave his claim of Masih. And descending of Masih a.s would be discussed.
4. Any party quitting the debate without its final settlement, would be considered as the loser one.

However on arrival of Molvi Muhammad Bashir in Dehli, Mirza Qadiani in violation of earlier agreed terms and conditions added the new conditions that :
(a) the burden of proof would lie on Molvi Muhammad Bashir because he would be a claimant of life of Essa a.s.
(b) the debate would be held at Mirza,s residence with no public proceedings would be held.
(c) In all 10 persons would be allowed to participate. However Molvi Abdul Majeed and Molana Muhammad Hussain Batalvi would not be allowed under any circumstances.
(d) Debate would be limited to 5 papers only.

Although this was a violation of earlier terms and conditions yet Molvi Bashir accepted it. Molvi sb went to the House of Mirza and he wrote Five arguments in support of Life of Essa a.s on paper read it to the audience there and handed over a signed copy to Mirza Qadiani. Instead of writing reply in the session Mirza did not write its reply and said Ok you may leave now to come at 10 o’clock tomorrow. but when they reached next day to receive reply Mirza did not come out of house and send some one telling that the reply is not ready yet and you may leave for now. Molvei sahib will be informed as soon as the replies are ready. Peoples agitated this attitude to be a violation of the terms and condition but Mirza remained adamant. At 2 o clock they were again called by Mirza and a reply was handed over with the directions that rejoinder may be prepared at home and be delivered to him once it is ready. It continued like this for five days wherein 3 papers were exchanged. On the sixth day Mirza Qadiani announced that his father in law is seriously ill and he was quitting. Peoples said this is against the law which he himself had laid down but Mirza did not agree. Since Molvi Muhammad Hussain Batalvi and other ulema knew his level of learning, they had prepared a condemning article which was read over in Mirza, s presence peoples laughed at him made a mockery of him still it did not make any impact.

Actual reason for Mirza,s escape from debate was that as a claimant of Masih, Mirza had created two walled defence first wall being Death of Hazrat Essa a.s and the second one being descending of Essas a.s. Molvi Muhammad Bashir had destroyed his both walls and now Mirza Was to prove how he became Masih e Moud which eventually made him run for life.

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad spoke with a terrible stutter and Ahmadiyya leadership lied about it..they called it a stammer

Intro
Mirza Mahmud Ahmad (the Khalifa) tells us that his father (MGA) had a “stammering” problem.  Here is the quote, see page 23, Mahmud Ahmad claims that it was a slight stammer, however, it was much more then that as other facts will prove:

“”Again, it had been written that the Mahdi would be born in a village called Kadaa, and he was born in Qadian, which the common people call Kadia or Kadi. It had been written that he would be affected by a slight stammer in his speech, and so he was. Again, it was written that the Messiah would have whitish complexion and straight hair, and he possessed them both. It was
written that his marriage and the offspring through that marriage would be of prophetical bearing; and so it came to pass with him, that he was informed beforehand that…””

Mirza Tahir Ahmad tells us the same in 1985 See—An English translation of the Friday sermon delivered by Hadrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih IV on March 29, 1985 at the Fadl Mosque, London, see page 4

He quotes a newspaper from the al-fazl of 1938 as such

“””Mirza Sahib was not able to correctly pronounce Arabic words. He was not able to phonetically distinguish Arabic letters with similar sounds; for example, the letter ‘Qaf ’ versus ‘Kaf ’. Occasionally his audience would object, but Mirza Sahib was not able to say anything in his defence. (Qadiyaniyyat—A Grave Threat to Islam, p. 12, referencing an article appearing in al-Fadl, September 14, 1938)”””

Brief Commentary
Mirza Basheer-uddin Mahmud Ahmad told us through his official newspaper in 1938 that his father had lot of trouble with pronouncing Arabic, in fact, he was terrible at it. There are many other references which need to be added here which corroborate the story.

Mirza Tahir Ahmad throws Moses (as) under the bus and accuses him of stammering and stuttering
In classic-Ahmadi-style, Mirza Tahir Ahmad accuses Moses (as) of stuttering and stammering just like MGA, however, this is not true…it is not written that Moses (as) stuttered or stammered, it is written that he wasn’t as eloquent as Aaron (as).  He then goes on to quote other commentaries and references wherein it is states that the grandson of Muhammad (saw) stammered and etc.  However, what does this have to do with MGA’s inability to give speeches?  was Husain a prophet or an imam who needed to have the capacity to give speeches and etc?  The real story here is that MGA was a terrible stutterer and he never grew out of it…hence, other people led the salaat on his behalf and other people did all of the speeches and etc and all of the debates (only 4-5) were written debates.  Finally, after accepting that his grandfather did have some sort of speech impediment, he claims that the reference to the al-fazl is a total fabrication and thus he contradicts his entire line of argumentation and his entire argument collapses.

Sometimes Ahmadis quote this hadith
“”He will be slow of speech (a slight stutter) and when he is delayed, he will strike his left thigh with his right hand.” (Al-Isha’ah)”””

What is this book?
The full name of the book is “Al-Ishāáh li Ashrāť as-Sāáh” [The Promulgation: of the Signs of the Hour] by Muhammad al-Barzanji.  He seems to be a huge scholar from Medina.  However, in this case, his work is still in arabic and it doesn’t exist on the internet, hence we have a problem fact checking Ahmadis on this.  Nonetheless, we need to see the book and that exact page, before we comment.  Further, this quotation doesnt even reveal who this person is….is it the Mahdi?  The Messiah?  There is absolutely no indication.  I would suspect another classic case of “Ahmadi-mis-quotation” and “Ahmadi-intentional-tampering” and “mis-representing” of sources.

Al-Barzanji wrote a book on the Miraj
This is an interesting book…i’m sure that he wrote that the Miraj was physical.  Nonetheless, this source remains unchecked.  The Mutazalites had challenged the physicality of the Miraj 1000+ years ago.  It was a dead issue for a looooong time, which proves that Sir Syed and Noorudin and MGA only denied it since they were denying all miracles and they must have thought that 20th century science was the limit of human advancement, they were wrong, Einstein came along and changed that….and since Einstein, we have advanced 10-fold at least.

Some conclusions
In the case of MGA’s speech impediment, he had a terrible stuttering and stammering problem, this is the main reason why he never gave a public speech or never gave a friday sermon. What’s alarming however, is the fact that the inner circle of Ahmadiyya leadership knew the truth….yet they purposely hid it.

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad never led Salaat!!!!!!!

Intro
We all know that MGA never did any public speeches.  We also know that he only had 5-debates in his entire life and they were all written debates, and Noorudin was always close by as well as Abdul Kareem and the rest of the team.  Officially, as of 1891, Maulvi Abdul Kareem, Amrohi and Noorudin were the imams of the mosque at Qadian.  They led all the prayers, they did all the friday sermons and wrote all of the books.  Mufti Sadiq also helped.  As did Muhammad Ali later on and many many others.  Before 1891, MGA had other people lead the salaat, the father of Jalal-uddin-Shams comes to mind.

Nonetheless, MGA couldn’t memorize the quran and was mostly high on opium, so he could never lead prayers.  That’s what my research indicates.

The Quote
SEERATUL MAHDI PART-III PAGE 111
“””Stated to me by Dr. Mir Muhammad Ismail that once Due to some reasons Molvi Abdul Karim could not lead the prayers, Molvi Nooruddin was also not present, so Hazrat Sahab ( MGAQ) asked Hakeem Fazluddin to lead the prayer. Hakeem Fazluddin excused to offer the services by saying how can i lead the prayer when huzur know that i have been suffering from PILES and can,t maintain my ablution (WAZU) due to gaseous emissions all the time. Huzur asked hakeem Fazluddin, are your prayers valid despite the problem? He said yes they are valid. Then lead the prayer , our prayer will also be valid said hazrat sahab”””

Narration no. 19

” My mother narrated to me that mgaq got first attack of dizziness and hysteria few days after the death of Bashir 1 (we had an elder brother who died in 1888). While sleeping he got choked and then condition woresned but that attack was light. Then after some time (few days) he went out saying that I am not feeling well today. Mother said after some time sheikh Hamid Ali ( he was an old sincere servent of mgaq, he is dead now) knocked at the door and asked for a pitcher of hot water. Mother said, I knew that mgaq’s condition is worsened, so I asked a maid to ask him (sh hamid) about mgaq’s condition. Sh Hamid Ali said its bad. I went inside the mosque and saw mgaq lying. I went near him he said- I m not feeling well. I was praying and saw something black raised in front of me and went up to sky. Then I screamed and fell down and became like fainted. Mother says that after that he started getting these attacks on REGULAR BASIS. This humble one asked what was attack like, she said that his hands and feet got cold, body nerves got shrunk specially neck’s and then dizziness started. In that condition, he was unable to support his body. In the beginning, these attacks / seizures were svere but later on there was no such severity and he became used to that.

Humble one asked, did he ever get any problem with his head? Mother said, before he used to get nominal headache attacks. Humble one asked, did he use to lead the prayers, mother said yes, but due to attacks he stopped. Humble one states that was before the claim of being Massiah. “

Conclusions
MGA was not any type of Imam.  He hired Noorudin and his friends to write and lead prayers for him and to give speeches on this behalf.  Check my other essays on MGA and his lack of leading salaat here: https://ahmadiyyafactcheckblog.wordpress.com/2017/03/03/mirza-ghulam-ahmad-got-stroked-during-salaat/

The #muslehmaud prophecy is a total fraud

Intro
In the 1880’s, after MGA’s second marriage and his claim to receive Quranic revelations as his own, he also prophesied the birth of a son who would carry on his legacy. Ironically, he already had 2 fully grown adult sons, who he barely he even spoke to, he even boycotted their funeral. Nevertheless, in the early part of 1886, he publicized the prophecy. A few months later, a girl was born to him, she ended up dying of cholera just 5 years later, MGA had published an announcement just a week before her birth wherein he totally backpeddled, he assume that the girl as already born in MGA’s house and he was now egregiously lying. What’s interesting here is that MGA had guaranteed a son from that pregnancy, he was now walking-back that prediction. In 1887, Bashir-1 was born, MGA began to celebrate. Per Ahmadiyya records, Bashir-1 was born on August 7th, 1887, the very next day, MGA’s announcement of August 8th, 1887 was published, in this announcement, MGA claimed that Bashir-1 was the promised son, unequivocally. On July 15, 1888, MGA published an announcement wherein he stated that he would be bestowed another son (in addition to the Promised Son) whose name would be Mahmud. In November of 1888, Bashir-1 dies and MGA writes the famous “Green Announcement” wherein he argues that prophets makes mistakes in figuring out their ilham’s all the time, ironically, MGA hadn’t claimed propehthood at this point in time. In January of 1889, Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad is born. MGA then goes quiet on this prophecy until 1897 in Anjam e Athim, wherein he seems to indicate that Mirza Mubarak Ahmad is the Musleh Maud, since he has turned 3 sons into 4. The same arguments are given in Tiryaq ul Qulub which was written in 1899 and published in 1902, in the 1950’s, the Lahori-Ahmadi’s would point this out emphatically, whereas the Qadiani-Ahmadi’s have refused to even comment. MGA went silent again until 1907, when Mirza Mubarak Ahmad died (at age 7-8 years old). At that point, MGA claimed that his God would given him another son in-place of Mirza Mubarak Ahmad. After MGA died, in June-July of 1908, MGA’s son, Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad writes in his magazine that the “Promised-Son” doesn’t have to necessarily be a biological son of MGA. After Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad became Khalifa (march 1914), his writers and editors began to write articles in the English ROR claiming that Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad was the Musleh Maud. Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad remained quiet however. The Lahori-Ahmadi’s seem to have also wrote about the “Promised Son” prophecy in 1914-1915 via their leader, Muhammad Ali, this book is still missing. From 1915 to 1943, everyone went silent on the “Musleh Maud” prophecy. In January of 1944, during WW-2, Mirza Basheer ud Din finally made the public claim of Musleh Maud, . This went un-challenged by Muhammad Ali and the Lahori-Ahmadi’s, in other words, they never responded to it. Later on, he called special meetings of the Community to re affirm this fact (see Al-Fazl, 1st February, 1944 also via “Truth Prevails” by Qazi Muhammad Nazeer). He made the claim of #muslehmaud at Sheikh Bashir Ahmed Sahib’s bungalow, situated at Temple Road, Lahore. After that, he gave a speech in the Jalsa at Masjid Aqsa, Qadian. Speeches by the Khalifa were then held in the following places: Hoshiarpur: on February 20, 1944, Lahore: on March 12, 1944, Ludhiana: on March 23, 1944 and Delhi: on April 16, 1944. About 1000 miles away, the battle of Imphal was raging, it was unclear as to who would win. The Japanese had their eye on India. By mid-1944, the Allied air forces enjoyed undisputed air supremacy over Burma. The last major effort by the Japanese Army Air Force had been over the Arakan in February and March, when they had suffered severe losses. During the Imphal and Kohima battles, they were able to make barely half a dozen significant raids. 20 years later, in 1965, A few months before Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad died, and 10+ years after Muhammad Ali had died, the Lahori-Ahmadi’s finally responded in “Truth Triumphs” by Mumtaz Ahmad Faruqi. They exposed the suffering  and mental anguish of Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad, which lasted 10-15 years before his death. They proved how he was not the Musleh Maud and how the prophecy either died with Mirza Mubarak Ahmad, or was mis-interpreted. However, the appendix has been deleted by the Lahori-Ahmadi’s, since it was embarrassing. About a year later, the Qadiani-Ahmadi’s responded with “Truth Prevails”, which was ordered by Mirza Nasir Ahmad via Qazi Muhammad Nazeer, it was published on 10-4-1966 (See page xiv).

Announcement of July 15, 1888
MGA announces that another son will be born to him whose name will be Mahmud, in addition to the Promised Son, who had already been bestowed upon him.

1888, Monday, November 4th
Bashir-1 dies. MGA is forced to write “The Green Announcement” as defends the death of his promised on. MGA claims that Prophets and Messengers make mistakes all the time when deciphering prophecies, thus, this is not a big deal.

1889, January
2 months later, another son is born to MGA. MGA was supposed to name him only as Mirza Mahmud Ahmad, per MGA’s only announcement on the topic, however, MGA names him as Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad. In 1944, during WW-2, he finally claims to be the Musleh Maud.

1893
On 26 February 1893, his book Aina Kamalate islam was published, MGA repeated his prophesy of birth of Bashir Emmanuel-to be fulfilled soon. Mirza Mahmud was 4 years old at that time which means that MGAQ did not consider him for the title. His second son was also named Bashir Ahmad, he was born on April 20th.

[A’ina-e-Kamalat-e-Islam, (At-Tabligh), pp. 577–578, Ruhani Khaza’in, vol. 5, pp. 577–578](see also, the 2009 english edition of Tadhkirah)
“”[Arabic] [Grace will arrive with his coming. He is light and is blessed and holy and is of the righteous. He will spread blessings and will nurture people on pure food and will be a helper of the faith…. He will be one of My Signs and will be the banner of My supports so that those who deny you should know that I am with you through My open grace…. He will be perceptive, intelligent and handsome. His heart will be filled with knowledge, his interior will be gentle and his breast will be filled with security. He will be bestowed the Messianic spirit and will be blessed with the spirit of security. Monday! O blessed Monday, blessed spirits will arrive on that day.] “”

1897
By 1897 (in Anjam e Athim), MGA began to think that Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud is NOT the promised son, most likely because he is sick all the time and can barely see, read and write. He began asserting that Mirza Mubarak Ahmad was the son who would make 3 into 4 and thus be the Musleh Maud.

1899-1902
MGA was quietly calling Mirza Mubarak Ahmad as most likely the Promised Son (See Tiryaq ul Qulub).

1907
Mirza Mubarak Ahmad died tragically, MGA claims that his God will give him another son in-place of Mirza Mubarak Ahmad.

1908, June-July
After MGA died, in June-July of 1908, MGA’s son, Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad writes in his magazine that the “Promised-Son” doesn’t have to necessarily be a biological son of MGA.

1914–1915
After Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad became Khalifa, his writers and editors began to write articles in the English ROR claiming that Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad was the Musleh Maud. Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad remained quiet however.

1914-1915
The Lahori-Ahmadi’s seem to have also wrote about the “Promised Son” prophecy in 1914-1915 via their leader, Muhammad Ali, this book is still missing.

1916 to 1943
Everyone went silent on the “Musleh Maud” prophecy.

1944
In January of 1944, during WW-2, Mirza Basheer ud Din finally made the public claim of Musleh Maud. This went un-challenged by Muhammad Ali and the Lahori-Ahmadi’s, in other words, they never responded to it (see Al-Fazl, 1st February, 1944 also via “Truth Prevails” by Qazi Muhammad Nazeer). Later on, he called special meetings of the Community to re affirm this fact. These meetings were held in the following places: Hoshiarpur: on February 20, 1944, Lahore: on March 12, 1944, Ludhiana: on March 23, 1944 and Delhi: on April 16, 1944. Qadiani-Ahmadi sources then claim,  in a conclusive argument for the Ahmadiyyah Anjuman-e-Isha‘at-e-Islam, Hadrat Khalifatul Masih IIra challenged Maulavi Muhammad ‘Ali to a prayer duel and also
added that Maulavi Sahib would never accept that challenge. (Furqan, Qadian, June 1944).

He made the claim of #muslehmaud at Sheikh Bashir Ahmed Sahib’s bungalow, situated at Temple Road, Lahore. After that, he gave a speech in the Jalsa at Masjid Aqsa, Qadian. After announcing the proclamation of Musleh-e-Maud at Masjid Aqsa, Qadian, another Jalsa took place in Hoshiarpur. The leader of the caravan of that Jalsa was Mir Muhammad Ishaq. Then, another Jalsa took place in Lahore and after that, our father passed away. The next Jalsa was in Ludhiana.

1945
Abdul Mannan Umar (the youngest son of Noorudin), published in a periodical entitled ‘Furqan’ of May 1945, some notes of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih I (Maulvi Abdul Mannan was editor of the journal at the time). The sense of these notes was that the advent of the Muslih Mau’ud would take place thirty years after the date when Hazrat Khalifatul Masih I, gave a discourse to this effect. Presumably in his Dars-i-Quran. The notes were published subsequently to the declaration by Hazrat Khalifatul Masih II, on the basis of a Revelation to him from God, the wording of this Revelation, in Arabic, was: “I am the Promised Messiah, his like and his Khalifa.” Hazrat Khalifatul Masih II took the Revelation to mean that he was the Muslih Mau’ud of this prophecy, which described him as gifted with the breath of a Messiah, in excellence and virtue, like the Promised Messiah himself.

1965
A few months before Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad died, and 10+ years after Muhammad Ali had died, the Lahori-Ahmadi’s finally responded in “Truth Triumphs” by Mumtaz Ahmad Faruqi.

1966
The Qadiani-Ahmadi’s responded with “Truth Prevails”, which was ordered by Mirza Nasir Ahmad via Qazi Muhammad Nazeer, it was published on 10-4-1966 (See page xiv).

1967
At the annual Jalsa in Rabwah, Mirza Nasir Ahmad comments on the Lahori-Ahmadi’s and their vicious attacks. However, he doesn’t tackle any major issues, he just glosses over the top.

1977
Mirza Nasir Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih III, delivered a speech at the final day of the Annual Rally of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya (Ahmadiyya Youth Organization), on November 6, 1977, at Masjid Aqsa, Rabwah, Pakistan, this speech was turned into a book named “Khilafat and Mujaddidiyyat” and published after Mirza Nasir Ahmad died in 1983, and from London.

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad also claimed to be the second coming of Dhul-Qarnain, from Quran 18:83

Intro
After MGA died in May of 1908, the new Khalifa, Maulvi Noorudin ordered the publishing of many books, Jesus in India was published (as an incomplete book) and the Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya Vol. 5 was finally published in October of 1908. In fact, in 1906, in Haqiqatul Wahy, MGA and his team of writers were arguing that since the Quran took 23 years to be revealed, the same was true in terms of the 5th volume of the Barahin, which was like the Quran per MGA. Nevertheless, in this book, MGA claims to be Dhul-Qarnain. He claims that the Quranic verses of Chapter 18, verses 83–103 (see page 151 of the online english version of BA5) are all about himself (MGA), specifically, 18:83, which would be 18:84 in the Qadiani-Ahmadi quran, since they add a verse to every chapter. MGA and his team of writers mention the word Dhul-Qarnain 28 times in this book. Historically, MGA first made the claim that he is Dhulqarnain in Lecture Lahore, which is also in Essence of Islam Vol. 3 (1904). His name is also spelled as such Dhulqarnain.

Other Quranic verses that MGA claimed for himself in 1884
——48:28, 61:09 and 9:32
——-21:107
——-10:16
——17:8

1880-1903
MGA never mentioned Dhul qarnain in any book until 1904.

“””””The meaning which God has disclosed to me is that when this verse is read along with the preceding and following verses, it constitutes a prophecy about the Promised Messiah and specifies the time of his advent. To elaborate this point, let me say that the Promised Messiah is also Dhulqarnain, because the Arabic word qarn connotes a century, and this verse indicates that the birth and advent of the Promised Messiah will span two centuries. And this clearly applies to me, for I have lived in two centuries according to every calendar I know of, be it Islamic, Christian or Bikrami, and my birth and advent have not been confined to a single century, and, in this sense, I am Dhulqarnain. In some Traditions, too, the Promised Messiah has been called Dhulqarnain in this very sense.””””

Notice how he says “some traditions” without giving specific references. Given that there are thousands of traditions that are fabricated, not giving the references makes the claim very weak. It does not allow for double checking. Its just an assertion.

But his argument hinges on the “span 2 centuries” claim. This was not demonstrated but rather just stated as another assertion. If, for the sake of argument, the verse did imply “span 2 centuries”, that is not enough to make a definitive judgement on who is Dhulqarnain. After all, it cannot be that simply anyone who claimed to be a messiah at a change of century would qualify.

Quotes from BA5
“”””God Almighty has also named me Dhul-Qarnain, for God’s revelation regarding me says:

جری الّٰل فی حُلَلِ الانبیاء

which means, ‘The Messenger of God in the mantle of all the past Prophets as’, requires that I should also have the characteristics of Dhul- Qarnain, since it is proven from Surah al-Kahf that he, too, was a recipient of revelation. God says concerning him:

قُلْنَا يٰذَا الْقَرْنَيْنِ1

So, in keeping with the revelation:

جری الّٰل فی حُلَلِ الانبیاء

[The Messenger of God in the mantle of all the past Prophets, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon them.]

I have come as Dhul-Qarnain for this Ummah. And the Holy Quran””””””
