"Lekh Ram"

Lekh Ram’s correspondence with MGA in 1893

Intro
The Ahmadi-Mullahs have purposely deleted lots of data on Ahmadiyya.  They were ordered to do so from the Mirza family, and as loyal employees, these Mullahs delivered and deleted lots of controversial content.

Letter of Pandit Lekhram to Mirza

On 24th June 1893, Pandit Lekhram wrote in his letter to Mirza Ghulam Ahmad:

“If writing a rebuttal of Braheen is ill-mannerism, then you are the first criminal, because according to Quran you had committed Kufr, you provoked us, because of which we wrote a reply. Had you not provoked us, then Permeshwar knows, that we had never thought of writings against religion of Islam. Thus if God forbid, divine punishment will descend then first its lightening will fall on your sitting room in Qadian. Then if self defense is a crime, then I too should be blamed.” (Weekly Satdharam Parcharak, Jallundher, dated 16th July 1897, mentioned in Raees-e-Qadian by Rafiq Dilawari p.133)

Who is Lekh Ram?

Intro
This is a reference holding post.  Most of the data for his entry can be found at this website:  http://www.thearyasamaj.org/panditlekhram_en

The data
Lekh Ram was born in 1858 in Jhelum, Punjab, British India.  He was a police officer in Punjab and resigned from the government service voluntarily and devoted for propagation of Vedas even not caring for his family and only son too. He was influenced by the writings of Munshi Kanhaiya Lal Alakhdhari and came to know about Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati and Arya Samaj. He founded Arya Samaj at Peshawar (now in Pakisthan) and became a preacher of Punjab Arya Pratinidhi Sabha. He also vowed to write the authentilc life history of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati. For this purpose, he travelled far and wide and collected a detailed account of the life of the founder of Arya Samaj. Pt. Lekh Ram wrote thirty three books. All his writings are in Urdu, but they have been translated in Hindi and some books have been translated into Sindhi and English also.

He established the view points on Arya Samaj and vedic religion so forcefully that nobody dared to come forward to oppose. Many inspiring facts from his life are written in golden lines of Arya Samaj history. A small incident from his life is being quoted here. He was an ardent propagator for Vedic dharma and shuddi (re-conversion to Vedic religion) movement. One day he returned to home after day’s long propagatory work and was so tired. His wife told that their only son is very sick and if unable to take him to a doctor immediately, his life will be in danger. He understood the gravity of sickness of his son and promised to take him hospital after taking one Rotti as he was so hungry. When he was about to eat the Roti, a post man carrying a telegram reached to him stating that few Hindus are about to change their religion to Islam in`Payal’ village in Patiala district of Punjab. Without thinking for a moment he left the meals and moved to the said village in a train. When he saw that there is no stoppage for train at the`Payal’ village, he jumped out of the running train and some how reached the venue of conversion with severe body injuries. He shouted `I am Pt. Lekharam from Arya Samaj is coming for Shasthrarth (religious debate) with you. If you defeat me in arguments, I myself along with these poor Hindus will embrace Islam. Otherwise you all should accept Vedic dharama. In the end of the shasthrarth all embraced Vedic Religion. This time one another telegram reached to him. The matter of it was his only son died of sickness! That was the dedication of Pt. Lekharam!

Lekh Ram traded death prophecies with MGA in the 1880’s

Intro
Lekh Ram and MGA had traded death prophecies sometime in the mid-1880’s.  MGA’s prophecies from that era vs. Lekh Ram were supressed by MGA himself as he admitted in 1888, he was working on a book, Siraj Munir, however, he claimed to have written it in 1886-1887 and delayed its publication.

What happened next was that Lekh Ram wrote in Takzeeb-Braheen-e-Ahmadiyya, Vol.-1 as follows:

“””This person will die of diarrhea within three years and none of his offspring will survive.””” (see the offical website of Ahmadiyya, retrieved on 11-9-16, https://www.alislam.org/library/history/ahmadiyya/19.html)

A Murder in British Lahore – Closing the Case of Lekh Ram

MGA pushed Lekh Ram to criticize Islam

Intro
I wanted to post a quote from Ian Talbots independent research work on the Punjab that I came across many years ago.

The Quote
“Relations grew particularly bad between the Aryas and the Muslims. Serious violence broke out in 1897 when a leading Arya Samajist called Pandit Lekh Ram was assassinated. Lekh Ram’s greatest influence was in the north-west of Punjab. He had in fact joined the Peshawar Arya Samaj in 1880 and rose to prominence first as a missionary and then as editor of the Arya Gazette. At first he had limited his attacks to the Ahmadi movement of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, but he increasingly attacked orthodox Muslims as well. His pamphlet, Risala-i-Jihad ya’ri Din-i-Muhammad ki Bunyad (A Treatise on waging holy war, or the foundation of the Muhammadan Religion) caused a considerable outcry, when it was published in 1892. Until his murder by a Muslim five years later, Lekh Ram continued to stir up animosity by his vituperative writings.” (Punjab and the Raj, 1849–1947″, p. 72–73) Ian Talbot.

Some additional quotes
“Mirza Saheb had announced that any non-Muslim who would write a reply to Braheen Ahmadiyya would be rewarded with Rs. 10,000. Pandit Lekhram wrote a reply by the name of Takzeeb Braheen. However this rebuttal was a shameless collection of slanders and abuse and I believe that since the humans have been born, no anti-God had abused Prophets and other people close to God in such a manner that Pandit Lekhram had penned in his book…. If one looks with fairness then it will be obvious that it was Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Saheb who provoked the said Pandit against Islam and Prophets of Islam and forcing him into writing such slander.” (Raees-e-Qadian p.1332-133 by Rafiq Dilawari)

“I saw your letter published by Murtazai Press Lahore. In this letter you have been instructed by God to write that anyone belonging to other religion, despite staying with you for one year, does not observe any heavenly sign and does not become Muslim after satisfying himself, then you will pay Rs. 200 per month as penalty or damages. Therefore to discover the heavenly sign I am prepared to some to you on the condition that at the rate of Rs 200 per month deposit Rs 2400 in Government bank for safe keeping, and give an undertaking that if am not satisfied and do not embrace Islam after one year of your guidance and heavenly sign and miracles, then that Rs. 2400 would be handed over to me, and for a period of one year that amount will remain deposited in the government bank, you will not be entitled to take that money back. I accept to be your student for one year.” (Letter to Mirza Ghulam dated 3rd April 1885, mentioned in Raees-e-Qadian by Rafiq Dilawari p.163)

Conclusions
MGA pushed Hindus to criticize Islam.  They were lured in by MGA and his team.

In 1901, after banishing Lekh Ram to hell, MGA changes his hell theory

Intro
Nowadays, Ahmadis believe that any person, from any religion is allowed to eventually go to heaven (see the official 5-volume commentary on 4;169-170, page 589).  This is in opposition to the major Abrahmic faith groups, i.e. Judaism, Christianity and Islam.  It is interesting to note that MGA also held the same belief for the majority of his life, or at least until 1882 officially.  I had spent the last few years searching for the very first instance of MGA leaving the islamic position on hell. However, just recently (2016) we have found what seems to be the very first instance of MGA changing his position on the eternity of hell for any disbeliever.

What is the islamic position?
The islamic position on hell is that it is for all disbelievers and eternal, it never ends. However, the Quran does say that even some Muslims will go to hell, but will be later released to heaven after time served (see Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 4:165–170).

In 1882, MGA reiterated the islamic position in Braheen e Ahmadiyya, Vol. 3
Transliteration::: “Kafir or Mushrik k jo shirk or kufar par marian un k gunah nahi bakhshay ja’ain gay or Khuda un ko un k kufar ki halat ma apni marfat ka rao nahi dikhlay ga, haan jahanam ka rah dikhlaya ga jis ma wo hamasha rahain gay” (rk vol. 1 page 264, which is Ba. vol. 3).

English: “”The disbelievers and idolaters who die in their state of denial and idolatry
will not be forgiven. Nor will God show them the path of His cognition while they are in disbelief. But He will show the way to Hell, wherein they will abide forever.”” (see Braheen e Ahmadiyya, english edition (2016), online, page 172).

Commentary on this quote
MGA simply quoted 4:168-169 and translated them from the Quran.  Obviously, he translated them per the classical islamic position. This is interesting, since Ahmadi authors have historically mis-translated the important arabic words in these verses, and on purpose, since they wanted to create a new conception of hell and Takfir.  See more here for MGA calling Muslims as Mushriks and Kafirs in 1907.  Its important to note that MGA’s Takfir was different since he never banished anyone to hell after 1901.  Moreover, Elijah Muhammad and the NOI read Ahmadiyya qurans in the 1930’s and 40’s and created another twisted version of heaven and hell, i.e. that they don’t even exist.  The NOI followed Muhammad Ali’s quran and took their beliefs from the author as he twisted the words of Allah.

In 1901, MGA moves away from the islamic position
“Those condemned to hell shall dwell therein for a long period which is metaphorically described as forever, but then the attribute of mercy will be manifested and, as is mentioned in a Hadith, God will stretch forth His hand into hell and all those who fall into His grip will be taken out of hell.” (24th May 1901, Al-Hakam), also see (Malfuzat, Volume 2, page 14).

Commentary on this quote
After years and years of believing that hell was eternal for Kafirs, MGA and his team simply called the arabic word that is used as a metaphor, which seems to be the official answer on anything when an Ahmadi is stuck.

In 1906, MGA reiterates his new hell position
”It is unreasonable and is contrary to the perfect attributes of God, the Glorious, that once a person has been condemned to hell, only the Divine attributes of chastisement should be manifested in his case and the attributes of mercy and forgiveness should be suspended forever and should not come into operation. From what God Almighty has said in His Book, it appears that those condemned to hell shall dwell therein for a long period which is metaphorically described as forever, but then the attribute of mercy will be manifested and, as is mentioned in a Hadith, God will stretch forth His hand into hell and all those who fall into His grip will be taken out of hell. This Hadith indicates that in the end all will attain salvation as the hand of God is unlimited and no one can be left out of it. ” (Chashma Masihi, Ruhani Khazain, Volume 20, Page 369) (as translated by the unofficial Ahmadi website, ahmadi.answers.com).

In 1917, Muhammad Ali published his commentary on the Quran
In terms of 4:169, he writes: “Except the path of hell, to abide in it for a very long time, and this is easy for Allah”

My commentary on M. Ali and 4:169
This is a blatant lie by Muhammad Ali.  It isn’t hard to tell the arabic word here infers to heaven being forever, not a very long time.  M. Ali should be ashamed of himself for knowingly twisting the word of Allah.

Mahmud Ahmad and the Qadianis agree with the Lahoris on this topic
The 5-volume commentary on the Quran which was written by Malik Ghulam Fareed tells us:
“Except the way of hell, wherein they shall abide for a long long period, and that is easy for allah”  (see page 589)

Gaps in the research
The period from 1882 to 1900 is blank in terms of quotes from MGA about hell.  If anyone sees any, please email me or contact via twitter or FB.

Ahmadis then present hadith out of context
MGA had only mentioned that there were some hadith which somehow eluded to the idea that hell would be empty at some point, however, these are weak hadith from unknown books. Moreover, anytime Allah talks about hell being empty he is only talking in terms of Muslims. Ahmadi authors knew this…however, they twisted the words of Muhammad (Saw) so as to match their other twisting of the Quran.

Conclusions
Ahmadis have been changing the meanings of the Quran since 1880, when MGA began denying the miracles of Esa (As).  This trend never changed, he mis-translated “Rafaaa”, “Mutawafeeka” and later on “Khatam”, he just never stopped.  I have had Ahmadis on social media complain that they have the same quran as Sunni’s, why is there a problem?  Well, the problem is your false translations.

“Arya Dharam” or “The Arya Religion” (1895) by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad

Intro
This is an interesting book, we haven’t totally evaluated it yet.  However, it seems to have lots of controversial information.  MGA wrote about the child-marriage of Aisha and many other related topics.  The Arya Samaj hindus seem to have written an analysis of the marriages of Muhammad (saw).  MGA and his team responded with “The Arya Religion” (1895).  The second edition of this book was published in 1903.  This was a small part in the overall beef that MGA started with the Arya Samaj in the early 1880’s.  Lekh Ram came soon thereafter.  In this book, MGA complained that his God and prophet were being unnecessarily ridiculed and it should be against the law, however, MGA himself insulted the God of Christians in this very, in fact, he used Hindu writings vs. Jesus Christ as he called him a drunkard and a fornicator.  In this book, MGA seems to have endorsed the concept of Nikah-Muta and abrogation.

Some quotes
“Pregnant woman  having been divorced should abstain from marrying another man because if she does, it is possible that she is pregnant again which may harm the earlier pregnancy. (Ariah Dharm page 21, Roohani Khazain volume 10 page 21)

•”Thieves and professional dishonest…” (Arya Dharam p.25)

•”Uttering such abusive words of meanness (SIFLA-PUN) from the mouth and then wrote something on our advertisement..” (ibid. p.25)

•”Maharaj with wicked soul said…. Wicked Pandit…” (ibid. p.31,34)

•”These KAMEENA-natured people were already eager to criticise and on top of that they got hold of some Mischievous and Stupid Christians and Satanic Inclinations instructed them they are all true, thus they also took their share of this Black face and Embarrassment, which is now evident on the faces of Stupid Christian Priests.” (Ibid. p.47)

•”Otherwise they are faithless and Professional dishonest.” (ibid. p.60)

•”O Stupid Aryas! Go and jump into some well and kill yourself.” (ibid. p.62)

    • Mirza Ghulam Ahmad wrote following poetry regarding Hindu ladies and their tradition of ‘Niyog’. It is difficult to convey the exact meanings and implications of such writings. Niyog is a hindu custom whereby a widow or childless lady or the one whose husband has gone on protracted journey, goes to the houses of upper class hindus or to their relatives to get pregnant (Roohani Khazain vol.10 p.68 by Mirza Ghulam A. Qadiani). Some of the highlights of this poetry are as follows. The way Mirza has ridiculed this religious practice, is quite below the status of a reformer, let alone a prophet, if at all he is one!:

He who loves the tradition of Niyog
He is humiliated in this world and hereafterHe whose religion has such shamelessness
It is devoid of civility and wisdom
why shouldn’t second marriage be forbidden
when they have the ritual of NiyogChupke chupke haram karwaana

“””One bad charactered woman had the fear that if she adopts bad profession she have to bear the hard Test of law. So many women used to save their life to be distorted under this fear. In this age when the way of showing is closed ( he might mean that open sex activity is closed ) , the advertisement of boosting sexual (activity) are so much advertised is enough prove that in this time the disease of sex is so much spread . Firstly we are so much against this wrongful sect but in this time when morality and being religious is so much weak, to expect that this devil sect will terminate itself, is useless. That is why it is necessary that such a law should be made that people should not be able to destroy their morality , religion and health for ever , and that law should be a law only. We will be very thankful if that Law is again made In india and promulgated but the stipulation is must that for the (white people ) goora people , european prostitutes must be provided .( I am ) hopeful that government of India and contemporary people will listen and think over it . “””

“”””If the Christian missionaries would listen to me I would counsel them to refrain from raising objections which can be directed against their own scriptures also. For instance, one of their principal criticisms of the Holy Prophetsa is directed against the battles that he had to wage under Divine command against those disbelievers who persecuted him and his companions for thirteen years at Makkah and inflicted every kind of torment upon them, and then devised a project of killing the Holy Prophetsa himself, so that he and his companions were compelled to leave Makkah. But his persecutors did not desist even then. They pursued him and treated him with every type of impertinence and continued to proclaim him false. They subjected the weak ones from among the Muslims who had been left in Makkah to extreme torment. Thus in the estimation of God Almighty, on account of their tyrannical behaviour, they became deserving of chastisement according to the eternal law of God. This chastisement was earned also by those who had helped the Makkahns in their misconduct and by those who had on their own carried the torment of the Muslims and the ridicule of their faith to the extreme and used all their power to block the propagation of Islam. Thus those who drew their swords against Islam were destroyed by the sword on account of their wickedness. Then is it fair to object to this kind of fighting, forgetting the battles of Moses and other Prophets of Israel in which thousands upon thousands of suckling babies were slaughtered? Such objections result from a spirit of mischief and deceit and disorderliness.

The Christians sometimes make the response that the battles fought by the Holy Prophetsa were characterised by too much tenderness towards the enemy in that those of them who accepted Islam escaped all punishment, suckling babies, women, old people, monks and travellers were all spared, nor were churches and synagogues demolished; while the Israeli prophets held all such practices lawful, so much so that more than 300,000 babies were slaughtered at one time. It is a strange conception that the battles fought by Islam should be open to criticism because of the clemency extended to the enemy and because they fell short of the severity that characterised the battles of Moses and other Israeli Prophets. Had the battles fought by Islam imposed the same degree of severity upon the enemy as was done in the battles mentioned in the Bible, apparently the Christian missionaries would have accepted these battles also as having been carried out under the command of God Almighty. Now every sensible person can decide whether this attitude is an honest one. On the one hand the Christians proclaim that God is mercy, and even His punishment has an aspect of mercy. Then if the battles of Moses despite their severity are believed to have been directed by God Almighty, how is it that the battles that possessed the fragrance of Divine mercy are not accepted as having been imposed by God Almighty? Why should those who deem the slaughter of suckling babies before the very eyes of their mothers and the merciless slaughter of the mothers within sight of their children as having been carried out under Divine command, not accept as falling in the same category battles which a persecuted people were permitted to fight in order to repel the aggression of their persecutors?””””

“””””The books that we accept and believe in and consider trustworthy are the following:

First is the Holy Qur’an. It should, however, be remembered that only that interpretation of a verse of the Qur’an is correct and trustworthy which is testified to by other verses of the Qur’an, inasmuch as some verses of the Qur’an interpret other verses. If certainty of meaning should not be guaranteed by other verses of the Qur’an, then the meaning should be confirmed by some true and reliable Hadith. According to us, the interpretation based merely on one’s opinion is not permissible. Everyone who raises an objection against the Holy Qur’an should keep this rule in mind.

Of the other books that are accepted by us the Sahih of Bukhari ranks as the first. All its Ahadith which are not opposed to the Holy Qur’an are in our view authoritative. Next comes Sahih Muslim. We accept its authority subject to the condition that it should not be opposed to the Holy Qur’an and Sahih Bukhari. Next to them are the compilations of Tirmidhi, Ibn-e-Majah, Muattah of Imam Malik, Nassa’i, Abu Da’ud and Dar Qutni, which we regard as authoritative so long as they are not opposed to the Holy Qur’an and Bukhari and Muslim. These are our religious books and these are the conditions under which we accept them…Every critic must confine himself to these books and these conditions.”””

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad lost his court case vs. Karam din 1904, but won on appeal

Intro
17 August 1903: The Promised Messiahas embarked on his journey towards Gurdaspur, after saying Zuhr and Asr prayers in congregation. The purpose behind this was to attend the hearing of a lawsuit filed by Karam Din. Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmadra was also part of the entourage. Hazrat Ahmadas made a night-stay in Batala in an inn situated near the railway station. Dusk and night prayers were offered there in congregation.

20 August 1903: The Promised Messiahas arrived back in Qadian from Gurdaspur from the aforementioned journey.

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad only lost one court case in his entire life. This was the case of 1903–1905.  It was in terms of defamation. In 1899, MGA was ordered to never call anyone Kazzab or Kafir ever again.  Well, it seems that MGA was accused of exactly that in 1903 by Karam–ud-Din.  Further, this was the first case wherein the judge was not a European, the judge was Hindu, and he even refused to give MGA a chair to sit on (see Mahmud Ahmad, “Hazrat Ahmad”, 1998 edition, online, see pages 46-51).  In fact, in 1904, MGA was found guilty and was supposed to be taken into custody, however, his bail was paid and MGA was released.  MGA’s legal team then fought the case on appeal, wherein the case went before a European judge, who promptly vindicated MGA (see RoR, pages 39-40, Jan-1905 edition, online).

Muhammad Ali’s testimony
Interestingly enough, Muhammad Ali was called to the stand to testify about MGA and his book, Tiryaq ul Qulub, Muhammad Ali and MGA said on oath that MGA’s beliefs hadnt changed since the writing of TQ.  Which was an obvious lie, since we all know he claimed prophethood in 1901….and thus his entire claim changed.

The reference from Haqiqatul way wherein MGA mentions this case
“Sign no. 118.  I was staying in Gurdaspur in connection with a criminal case (brought against me by Karam Din of Jhelum).  I received a revelation: “You will be questioned about your rank and dignity.  Say.  Allah has bestowed this rank on me; and leave them in their sport”.  I related this revelation to my companions who were not less than forty in number including Maulvi Muhammad Ali and Khwaja Kamalu-ud-Din.  Later, we went into the court where the counsel for the complainant asked the same question.  “is your rank and dignity the same as has been written in Tiryaq-ul-Qulub?  I replied: “Yes; it is so by the grace of Allah”.  (Haqiqat al-Wahy, pp. 265-266).  (also see Muhammad Ali, “Heresy in Islam”, online 1995 english edition).

Lecture Ludhiana also mentions the Karam Din Case

In those days I received the revelation (Persian): We do not approve of the other meaning; which I understood as indicating that the interpretation of the first court would not be upheld on appeal; and so it happened. The Divisional Judge rejected all the arguments advanced on behalf of Karam Din and held that laeen and kazzab were appropriate for Karam Din, who was deserving of even worse.”” (Haqeegat-ul-Wahi p. 380).

630-631/970

“”In Karam Din’s case against me Atma Ram, Magistrate, did not pay full attention to the merits and made up his mind to sentence me to imprisonment. Thereupon God conveyed to me that
Atma Ram would be afflicted with the deaths of his children. I communicated this vision to the members of my Movement and it so happened that within 20 or 25 days he lost two sons. In the end, though he had laid the foundation in his judgment of sentencing me to imprisonment, God held him back from that design, yet he imposed upon me a fine of 700 rupees. I was then honorably acquitted on appeal by the Divisional Judge. But Karam Din’s conviction and sentence were maintained. My fine was remitted but Atma Ram’s sons did not come back. According to the Divine prophecy which had been published already in my book Mawahibur Rahman, I was acquitted, my fine was refunded, Atma Ram’s order was set aside and the Appellate Court rebuked him for an improper order, but Karam Din was convicted and punished and the judgment of the court confirmed his being a liar”” (Haqeeqatul-Wahi pp. 121-122).

Zafrullah Khan’s comments

This is from Zafrullah Khan’s book about his mother

http://www.alislam.org/library/books/MyMother.pdf

“””Some time thereafter he(HIS FATHER) was summoned to appear as a defence witness in the court of a Magistrate at Gudaspur in a criminal case in which Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, Founder of the Ahmadiyyah Movement, was being tried for defamation of one Maulvi
Karam Deen, one of his bitter and virulent opponents. This afforded him an opportunity of meeting the illustrious personage and he was much impressed with his gracious personality and his very high spirituality. He was now studying the Movement earnestly, had become a regular subscriber to the weekly Al-Hakam and started attending the daily lesson of the Holy Quran given by Maulvi Abdul Karim, an eminent disciple and devoted companion of the Promised Messiah. He had at no time been opposed to the Movement, but he possessed a deliberate temperament and made up his mind after careful and deep reflection.””

The origins of the deceptive Ahmadiyya tabligh tactics

Intro
Most Ahmadi’s are urged to do tabligh and are brainwashed to live this type of lifestyle.  About 10% of Ahmadi’s become fanatical in this regard.  We have the story of an Ahmadi, Abdul Hameed, who was the nephew of an Ahmadi mullah, Maulvi Burhan-uddin and was sent to Dr. Clarke as an undercover-Ahmadi-assassin (Summer of 1897).  Ahmadiyya sources tell us that this Abdul Hameed eventually became an Ahmadi, which proves that he was an Ahmadi all along and was simply carrying out the orders of MGA.  Just before Abdul Hameed, Lekh Ram was brutally murdered and an Ahmadi doctor (MIrza Yacub Baig) watched him die on his emergency room table at the Mayo Hospital.

Nevertheless, we have a story from Seeratul Mahdi, wherein MGA directed Ahmadi’s to pretend to be Non-Ahmadi’s and thus create a show and scene at a certain village, the plan eventually backfired.  The story is posted.

Seeratul Mahdi Vol-3 page 803-804

“””Mirza Bashir Ahmed writes : “Dr. Mir Muhammad Ismail stated to him that in 1897-98, a few Ahmadi’s from a village near Qadian, came to attend Jalsa Salana and related that some non -ahmadis of their village were very arrogant and do not listen to Ahmadi’s and also do not believe in Hazrat Masih Moud (MGAQ) rather they call him with bad names.

One blind Hafiz namely Muhammad Hussain resident of Dunga district Gujarat, hit upon a plan with them whereby he said he would visit their village and pose himself to be a non ahmadi and would challenge the ahmadis of that village. He would have a fake and preplanned debate with them and he would then loose the debate in the end. In this way non ahmadis would get convinced and would come to their side.

After a couple of days, the blind Hafiz reached the village, stayed at a Muslim Mosjid and threw a challenge of debate to ahmadi /Qadianis of that village.

As per plan, ahmadis came forward and started to debate. After some time the Blind Hafiz, who was actually a disguised Qadiani himself, surrendered and said to muslims that the argument of ahmadis is so strong that he can not continue the debate anymore. However, Muslims got suspicious of him and came to believe that this is a fake debate and that Blind Hafiz was playing trick with them so they start beating the blind Hafiz for his deception. Blind Hafiz had to take refuge in the house of one of the Qadianis of the village to save his life.

The issue came to the knowledge of MGAQ who felt sad to know of this and said they may not be doing like this in future.””””

Who is Muhammadi Begum? 1875–1966

Intro
Per Ahmadiyya sources she was a triple-niece of MGA.  MGA was her uncle in 3 ways and maybe more, MGA’s sister was married to her paternal big uncles.  Per Ahmadiyya sources, she was born in 1874/75 (see Dard, page 330).  She was thus 13-14 when MGA was asking to marry her per Ahmadiyya sources, however, she was most likely 9-10.  MGA had most likely seen her as an infant, since he was her uncle in 3-4 ways, thus, he had seen her a lot.  MGA and Mirza Ahmad Baig seem to have been friendly to each other even after MGA had his war with his cousins over land.  Nevertheless, in 1888, Mirza Ahmad Baig met with MGA and asked MGA to sign over “lucrative” property rights which belonged to MGA’s cousin, Mirza Ghulam Hussain, who had went missing around 1865, and was co-incidentally married to Mirza Ahmad Baig’s sister.  MGA responded by asking to marry Mirza Ahmad Baig’s 13-14-year old daughter, Mirza Ahmad Baig immediately refused.  This kicked off a public war wherein the entire Mirza family was opposed to MGA.  In fact, it is not too far-fetched to say that the life and career of MGA was shaped by his love of Muhammadi Begum.  Birth of sons, death threats against others, Batalvi feud, Christian feud (Christian paper published letters to Muhammadi Begum family) which led to the Atham saga, which then led to the maseel maseeh and maseeh mauood stuff.  MGA kept upping the ante.  The whole ‘promised son’ seems like a ruse to get Muhammadi Begum’s dad interested in him, implying that if Muhammadi Begum marries MGA, the son would be the inheritor to all of his spiritual and worldly legacy.

January 1886
In 1888 MGA claims that he mentioned a prophecy to Mirza Ahmad Baig a few years back (See Dard, page 172).  However, this is lie.  MGA was on good relations with Mirza Ahmad Baig until his father died and court cases were issued between the Mirza family in terms of land disbursement wherein MGA lost (1884).

Feb, 20th 1886
MGA publishes his famous announcement vs. Lekh Ram and about the Promised Son.  By 1888, MGA was connecting his proposed marriage with Muhammadi Begum to this prophecy also.

June 8th, 1886
MGA writes letters to Noorudin wherein he claims that his God is ordering him to marry again for a 3rd time, and to thus have 3 wives.  These were published after MGA died , hence, they are tampered with.

June 20th, 1886
MGA writes another letter to Nooruddin wherein he says that he is afraid that he is commanded by his God to marry a 3rd time, and this is unavoidable (See Dard pages 173-174) .

February of 1888
Ahmadiyya sources tell us that in roughly February of 1888, Mirza Ahmad Baig seems to have came to Qadian and asked MGA to make a deal.  The issue was that Mirza Ahmad Baig’s sister (Imam Bibi) had been married to MGA’s cousin: Mirza Ghulam Hussain.  Mirza Ghulam Hussain had went missing for roughly 25 years.  He had lots of land in his and his wife’s possession, his wife possessed it for 25 years, however, per the rules of the Mirza family (Not Islam), if a person died with no heir, his land would revert to other family members.  However, this is unislamic, we are unsure where this tradition came from, however, the Mirza family was always playing his land-grabbing game.  Mirza Ahmad Baig and his sister (Imam Bibi) knew that when Imam Bibi would die, the land would revert to MGA at 50% (+Mirza Sultan Ahmad) and 50% to his cousins (see Nuzul ul Masih, via the 2009 online edition of Tadhkirah, pages 190-191) .  MGA knew that Mirza Ahmad Baig was desperate for concessions.  MGA then asked for his daughter in exchange for signing over the property to Mirza Ahmad Baig’s sister.

May 10th, 1888
The maternal uncles of Muhammadi Begum, Mirza Nizam-ud-Din and Mirza Imam-ud-Din, and also others of their party, not only publicized this matter verbally but also had Hazrat Mirza’s letters printed in newspapers to ensure the widest publicity.  Thus, the Nur Afshan published a letter from MGA to Ahmad Baig (See Dard, page 172).

June 1888
The Arya Patrika, Lahore, page 5 also covered the story (See Dard, page 172).

July 10th, 1888
In his Ishtihar he declared that if she was not married to MGA her father would die within three years of her marriage to anyone else, and her husband would die within 30 months and that other calamities would also overtake the family. This was to be a sign for MGA’s cousins and relations, who dared to flout the authority of the Supreme Being (See Dard, page 330).

July 15th, 1888
MGA publishes another announcement about his cousins and their upcoming deaths.

August 1888
By August of 1888, the entire Mirza family was against MGA and his marriage proposal for his niece.  The list includes all family members of MGA, which includes both of his sons, and all of his cousins (see Mujadid e Azim, online abridged version, pages 228-268, specifically page 253).

Aug 1888 to July 1890
2 years of total silence on this topic.  However, in the background, MGA was trying to bribe other cousins of his to help him get this niece of his tied into a marriage situation.

Izala Auham, roughly 1890, page 198
“”””By way of prophecy the Exalted God revealed it to this humble one that ultimately the elder daughter of Mirza Ahmad Beg, son of Mirza Ghulam Beg of Hoshiarpur would be married to me. These people would resort to great hostility and would place obstacles in the way, but in the end, it would surely take place. The Exalted God would, by all possible means, bring her to me, whether as a virgin or a widow, and would remove all impediments, and would, of necessity, fulfil this task, and none would be able to prevent it.”””

July 17th, 1890
MGA wrote a letter to Mirza Ahmad Baig offering him condolence at the death of his son, Mahmud (See Dard, page 331).

1890–1891
MGA says:

“””God Almighty will in any event bring Muhammadi Begum to me as a virgin or a widow and will remove all obstructions. He will certainly fulfill this and no one can obstruct Him.””” (Izalah Auham, p.296)(see also, B.A. Rafiq, “Truth About Ahmadiyya, online version, https://www.alislam.org/library/book/truth-about-ahmadiyyat/suspension-of-jihad/, Retrieved on 6-7-19).

April 7th, 1892
Muhammedi Begum was married to Sultan Muhammad (see Dard, page 334).

July 1892
MGA was dreaming about multiple women, this may have been an indication of the eventual fate of Muhammadi Begum (see the 2009 online edition of Tadhkirah, see pages 256-257).

September 30, 1892
Mirza Ahmad Baig dies (See the 2009 online edition of Tadhkirah, page 188).

February 1893
Ainah Kamalat-e-Islam is published which contains MGA’s prophecy about Mirza Ahmad Baig and Muhammadi Begum.

The winter of 1893
MGA and his team of writers mentions the death of Mirza Ahmad Baig as a sign of MGA’s truth.  See “Shahada-tul Quran”, in english as “Testimony of the Quran”, see here a link to the english translation by the Lahori-Ahmadi’s.

“””(1) Mirza Ahmad Baig of Hoshiarpur should die within the limit of three years; (2) then his son-in-law, the husband of his elder daughter, should die within two and a half years; (3) Mirza Ahmad Baig should not die before the day of his daughter’s wedding; (4) the daughter too must not die before she is married, and then widowed, and then married a second time; (5) my humble self too should not die till all these events take place; (6) and then she should be married to myself. Obviously these events are not in human control. [Note 6]”””””

1894
Via the Ishaat us Sunnah magazine, Mirza Sultan Muhammad (the husband of Muhammadi Begum) called MGA a liar and a Kafir.

1897
In Anjam-e-Athim, MGA mentions his prophecy vs. his cousins and other close relations.

1901
MGA mentions the faliure of the Muhammadi Begum prophecy but claims that he will marry her as widow.

1902
Ahmadiyya newspapers report on 18 August 1902: Mirza Ahsan Baig formally requested to be part of the Ahmadiyya Jamaat. He was the grandson of Mirza Ahmad Baig, son-in-law of Mirza Ahmad Baig and brother-in-law of Muhammadi Begum.  He was married to one of the younger sisters of Muhammadi Begum.

Oct-1902
“””About eighteen years ago, I had an opportunity to visit Maulavi Muhammad Husain Batalavi, Editor of Isha‘atus- Sunnah at his house. He asked me whether I had received any revelation lately and I mentioned to him the revelation, which I had already mentioned several times to my friends:

[Arabic] A virgin and a widow.

I interpreted this to him and to all others to mean that: God has intended to bring two women to me in marriage—the first time a virgin and the second time a widow. The first part of the revelation, relating to a virgin, has been fulfilled By Allah’s grace, I have four sons from that wife. I await fulfilment of the part about the widow. “””[Tiryaqul-Qulub, p. 34, Ruhani Khaza’in, vol. 15, p. 201](See Also, the 2009 online edition of Tadhkirah, pages 50-51).

1907
In “Haqiqatul Wahy”, MGA mentions Mirza Ahmad Baig on pages, 219-220, 231, 233, 237, 238, 280, 492, 493, 576, 577, 696, 697, 710, 714, 715.  MGA basically says that even though Muhammadi Begum was still alive and married with children, the prophecy was conditional and thus fulfilled.

June-July 1908, Nooruddin comments on the failed prophecy of Muhammadi Begum
“””Now, I would like to remind all the Muslims who have had and still have faith in the Noble Qur’an that since those addressed in it include also their offsprings, successors and those like them, then, can this prophecy not include the daughter, of Ahmad Beg, or the daughter of that daughter ? Does your law of inheritance not apply the regulations regarding daughters to their daughters ? And are the offsprings of the Mirza not his agnates ? I had often told dear Mian Mahmood (Mian Bashiruddin Mahmood, a son of the Mirza and the second head of the Qadiani movement after Hakim Nuruddin. ) that even if the Mirza were to die and this girl did hot enter into his wedlock, my adoration of him would remain unshaken.”””” (Review of Religions, Vol. VII, no. 726, June and July, 1908, p. 279 (cited from Qadiani Mazhab).

October 1908
Braheen-e-Ahmadiyya Vol. 5 is published.  MGA mentions Ahmad Baig on pages, 254, 255, 494, 495.

1947
Muhammadi Begum, her husband, family and extended family move to Lahore by force.

1948
Mirza Sultan Muhammad dies.

1966
Muhammadi Begum died on 19 November, 1966, at Lahore, her funeral prayer was led by Molana Shahabuddin of Chowburji who was a disciple of Shaikhul Hind Molana Mahmoodul Hasan. She was buried in Qabrustan Miyani Sahib Lahore.
