Intro
In the 5-volume official commentary of the Quran by Malik Ghulam Farid, the Ahmadiyya believes that the word Adam (as) used in 3:59 of the Quran (3:60 in the Qadiani Quran) refers to mankind and not Adam (as). Malik Ghulam Farid then quotes 40:67 (40:68 in the Qadiani Quran) and alleges that Adam (as) and Eisa (As) were made from dust like all other humans. They then argue that Adam (as) like Eisa (as) was born without a father, however, this is blatantly incorrect, Adam (as) was created by Allah without both parents. Tahir Nasser used this argument in his debate vs. David Wood in Nov-2024.

This seems to contradict MGA (Via Haqiqatul Wahi, pages 53-54 and 856-857, online English edition, Barahin i Ahmadiyya, Vol. 5, online english edition and many other places).

The writing of K2 are unknown as of Dec-2024.

After this, the second account is of Jesus, which should have been something more significant, and that was, he was born without a father, and this matter is indeed extraordinary. If after Yahya—who was born of a barren woman—mention was made of a child born with a father, then what would have been so extraordinary about that? The Christians who make him God on account of his fatherless birth, are refuted elsewhere:

اِنَّاِنَّ مَثَلَمَثَلَ عِيْسٰىعِيْسٰى عِنْدَعِنْدَ اللّٰهِاللّٰهِ كَمَثَلِكَمَثَلِ اٰدَمَاٰدَمَ 1

Now, if one born without a father can be God, then the one who has neither mother nor father would take precedence in being God, yet they do not consider him a God. Moreover, in the same way, Yahya should also be accepted as Divinity insofar as he was born of a barren woman”””.

“””What harm arises in accepting this? Reading the Holy Quran it is proven that Jesus was fatherless and there cannot be any objection against it. God Almighty has stated كَمَثَلِكَمَثَلِ اٰدَمَاٰدَمَ  which also clarifies that this is a wonder of nature for which the example of Adam had to be mentioned”””.

“””The belief of our opponents that Hadrat ‘Isa, peace be upon him, was saved from the cross and ascended physically to Heaven raises a serious objection against the Holy Quran, because the Holy Quran consistently refutes all Christian assertions that are used to prove the divinity of Hadrat ‘Isa. For instance, the Holy Quran denied any special significance of the fatherless birth of Hadrat ‘Isa (which was used as an argument for his divinity) by declaring:

Surely, the case of Jesus with Allah is like the case of Adam. He created him out of dust, then He said to him, ‘Be!’, and he was (Surah Al-e-‘Imran, 3:60). [Publisher]

Thus, if Hadrat ‘Isa had indeed ascended to Heaven with his mortal body and is then to descend again, this would be a distinction far more misleading than his fatherless birth. So pray tell, where has the Holy Quran refuted this by citing a precedent? Was God incapable of refuting this distinction?””

Via Haqiqatul Wahi, online English edition, pages 856-857

They ascribe to him [i.e. Jesus] an attribute which is not found in any human being and knowingly support the Christians. How can the jealousy of Allah tolerate ascribing anyone with one of His attributes, which no one has shared with Him from the beginning of the world to the end of times? What can be closer to disbelief than this belief? Would that they had pondered over this, for such particularization is the very basis of idolatry. O ignorant ones! Is there any sin greater than holding partners with God Almighty? Remember when the Christians said that Jesus was the son of Allah because he was born fatherless and they were holding firmly to this belief. Allah responded to them with His word:

Surely, the case of Jesus with Allah is like the case of Adam. He created him out of dust, then He said to him, ‘Be!’, and he was (Surah Al-e-‘Imran, 3:60). [Publisher]

But we do not find in the Holy Quran any response to Jesus’ assumed peculiarity of physical ascension to heaven and then his descent from there, whereas the people of the Cross consider it to be the strongest evidence in support of their deification of Jesus. If Jesus’ ascension to the heavens and his descent from there were correct in the knowledge of our Gracious Lord, He would surely have compared Jesus with a person with the same attribute in the Holy Quran, just as He has compared him with Adam to refute the argument of the people of the Cross. Hence, certainly, the absence of such a comparison implies that the whole story of ascension is false; it is entirely baseless, and is nothing but nonsense. Do you know what wisdom prevented Allah from giving this answer whereas He was expected to respond to and uproot the Christian inference comprehensively? The Christian scholars are a people who are, with each passing day, increasing in exaggeration; and they do not turn towards the truth because of their arrogance and haughtiness. Nevertheless, I have fully established Allah’s argument in support of Islam against them.””””

Question No 4—God made Prophet Jesus, peace be upon him, born without a father.

The Promised Messiah said:

If a fatherless birth is an argument for Divinity and Sonship, then Prophet Adam, peace be upon him, is more deserving of it as he has neither a mother nor a father. God says:

And the matter to ponder over is that since there was a possibility for people to be deceived due to the fatherless birth of Prophet Jesus as, God had, therefore, established an example from before by having Prophet Adam, peace be upon him, born without a mother and a father. However, if the notion of Jesus as ascending to the heaven is accepted as authentic, then Allah the Exalted ought to have established an example for this as well. Now tell me, if God did not present any example for the ascension to heaven, then this in itself proves that the narration of Jesus as ascending to heaven is an absolute fabrication.

When the disbelievers asked our Noble Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him:
اَوْاَوْ تَرْقٰىتَرْقٰى فِيفِي السَّمَآءِالسَّمَآءِ2 Meaning that, ascend to heaven; God gave this reply that man cannot ascend to heaven, as He said:

If man could ascend to heaven, then the disbelievers should have presented a parallel.

It is regrettable that these people are determined to support the Christian priests without reason. When they say that according to the Holy Quran, man cannot ascend to the heavens, but Jesus, peace be upon him, did; hence, he was God, they are left speechless. They do not understand this much that Prophet Jesus, peace be upon him, was a weak and humble man, and a Messenger of God. He was not an iota more than this. If he were God then the burden of proof lies with the Christians that they must present a sun, moon, or earth that he created. That helpless being could not even create a mosquito. It is written clearly in the Holy Quran that he was a servant. He was in need of eating, drinking, and other necessities and died like the other Prophets”””.

These foolish friends of Islam fail to understand that God is so Jealous for His Honour that He intends to uproot and eliminate these false beliefs. He will not tolerate such idolatrous beliefs even for one moment. Those who ponder and study the Holy Quran know quite well the variety of strategies God has employed to crush falsehood. You see, the Christians had imagined the fatherless birth of Jesus as to be the proof of his ‘Divinity’. God humiliated and frustrated them by presenting the birth of Adam as as a counter argument, thus proving the falsity of their claim:

اِنَّاِنَّ مَثَلَمَثَلَ عِيْسٰىعِيْسٰى عِنْدَعِنْدَ اللّٰهِاللّٰهِ كَمَثَلِكَمَثَلِ اٰدَمَاٰدَمَ 1

The Messiah as had no father but Adam as had neither father nor mother, and thus, holds greater right to ‘Divinity’ because here there was neither father nor mother—both were missing. So remember it well, that if Jesus as had, in fact, risen to Heaven with his physical body, and God had accepted this argument of theirs, He would have also decimated this spurious argument by adducing some precedent. But God has rejected this argument by denying its factual basis and has responded by saying that he [ Jesus as] has died, and thus, what meaning can his going [bodily] to Heaven have?

The Promised Messiah as said:

Replies are of two types. One confirmatory and the other accusatory. Allah the Exalted has also made use of accusatory replies in certain instances. These inform the critic of the weakness of his own religion. Thus, when the Christians claimed that Jesus as is the Son of God and its proof is that he was born of the Virgin Mary, Allah the Exalted replied by saying:

اِنَّاِنَّ مَثَلَمَثَلَ عِيْسٰىعِيْسٰى عِنْدَعِنْدَ اللّٰهِاللّٰهِ كَمَثَلِكَمَثَلِ اٰدَمَاٰدَمَ 2

Meaning that if this indeed was the proof of him being the Son [of God] then Adam as has the first right to be the Son [of God]”””.

The Christians had seized upon one distinction of Jesus as that since he was born without a father, this was firm proof of his ‘Divinity’. And this was a weighty argument of theirs against the Muslims with which they used to deduce his ‘Divinity’ by proving a unique distinction in Jesus as. So Allah the Exalted silenced them with the rebuttal saying:

Surely, the case of Jesus with Allah is like the case of Adam (Surah Al-e-‘Imran, 3:60). [Publisher]

meaning that, if you present the miraculous birth of Jesus as as proof of his Divinity, then Adam should be God in the first place, as he had neither father nor mother. Therefore, you must first accept Adam to be a greater God, and only then may you present this argument for the Divinity of Jesus as. Thus, in this way Allah the Exalted refuted this argument of theirs. Accordingly, Allah the Exalted falsified their argument of the Messiah’s fatherless birth being proof of his ‘Divinity’ by presenting the example of Adam””.

“””It is the law of God that He has not made any human being unique in any aspect, and no one can say that he has such and such characteristic that no one else has. Had such been the case, this would form the basis for holding such a person as being worthy of worship. During the time of our Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, some Christians presented the uniqueness of Hadrat ‘Isa, may peace be upon him, as being born without a father, upon which Allah Almighty immediately replied through this verse of the Holy Quran:

Surah Al-e-‘Imran, 3:60

Meaning: ‘The case of ‘Isa [with Allah] is like the case of Adam. God created him from dust and said to him “Be”, and he was.’ In the same way was ‘Isa born of Maryam’s blood and Maryam’s fluid, and when God said ‘Be’, he was. What is so divine and unique in this trivial matter? In the rainy season, thousands of insects are born without a father or mother, and come out of the earth on their own; no one declares them to be God, no one worships them, no one prostrates before them. So if it is not ignorance to create such an uproar over Hadrat ‘Isa, may peace be upon him—without rhyme or reason—then what is it?
