Al-Haq Mubahathah Dehli (1891), Quotes and background info, published in 1905

Intro
Al-Haq Mubahathah Dehli seems to be an Ahmadiyya only record of events of the alleged written debate between MGA and Maulavi Muhammad Bashir. This book also contains the correspondence which led to the altercation of MGA and his team vs. Maulavi Muhammad Nadhir Hussain in Delhi at the famous Jamia Masjid in Oct of 1891. This debate barely lasted a few minutes, the British police immediately forced the crowd to disperse and moved MGA to safety (See Hidden Treasures). This debate was published by the Qadiani’s in 1905 (see Hidden Treasures).

On September 29th, 1891, MGA arrived in Delhi and stayed at Kothi Nawab Loharu, Ballimara.
Ahmadiyya sources allege (See Hidden Treasures), that MGA and his team issued a leaflet in Delhi on October 2, 1891, and challenged Maulavi Muhammad Nadhir Hussain—a mentor of Maulavi Muhammad Hussain Batalvi—to discuss in writing the subject whether Jesus was alive or dead. MGA and his team issued another leaflet on October 7, 1891, repeating the same invitation and stating that he was prepared to hold the debate even at the residence of Maulavi Muhammad Nadhir Hussain. Ahmadiyya sources allege that a mob came to the house where MGA was staying at in Delhi (see Hidden Treasures).

MGA and his team wrote to Maulavi Muhammad Bashir on October 15, 1891, intimating his acceptance of the proposal to hold a written debate with him on the question of the death of Jesus.

The debate itself was held on October 20, 1891, in the Jami‘a Masjid, Delhi, where more than five thousand people gathered. There was a European Superintendent of Police with a Police contingent watching eagerly. MGA went to the mosque with 12 of his disciples. The 12 disciples of MGA accompanied him to the cathedral Mosque in horsedriven carriages, and there the party walked through the angry crowd straight to the mihrab and took their
seats. A little later Nadhir Husain also arrived with Muhammad Husain Batalvi and Abdul Majid.
They were seated in the adjoining veranda. It was the time of ‘Asr, all Muslims in the mosque prayed together. MGA and his disciples had did not join the prayers.

The debate barely lasted a few minutes. Ahmadiyya sources alleged that the crowd was so hostile and many had stones in their pockets and some were armed with sticks and knives. At the very beginning of the engagement vs. MGA, Maulavi Muhammad Nadhir Hussain declared that MGA did not believe in miracles, the Mi‘raj and angels and, therefore, he was an infidel and no discussion was possible unless he answered the charges first. At this point, MGA read out a manifesto of his beliefs, which clearly contradicted his books, Maulavi Muhammad Nadhir Hussain refused to accept MGA’s explanation, the police then forced all the people to leave the masjid, they then escorted MGA to safety (See Hidden Treasures). MGA and his group of 12 Ahmadi’s were the only ones allowed to stay. MGA and his disciples exited the mosque via the north gate, however, the carriage and driver that they had rented was gone. The superintendant of the local police also showed up. A mob scene erupted. MGA’s disciples found another carriage for hire, they escaped via British escort, Maulvi Abdul Karim traveled with MGA in the carriage and a few others, all the others walked, they were Sayyid Amir Ali Shah, Ghulam Qadir Fasih, Muhammad Khan of Kapurthala, Hakim Fadl Din of Bhera, Pir Sirajul Haq, and six others (see Dard).

MGA and his team wrote three letters to Maulavi Muhammad Bashir dated October 21, 22 and 23, 1891, and the following points were further laid down:

(1) the debate should begin after the Friday prayer at Hadrat Ahmad’s house,
(2) Maulavi Muhammad Bashir would write the first paper,
(3) Maulavi Muhammad Bashir would bring only one man with him,
(4) Maulavi Muhammad Hussain Batalvi and Maulavi ‘Abdul Majid would not be allowed to take part in it; and
(5) not more than five papers would be exchanged.

It should be noted that it was not agreed that the papers would be written in the meeting.
The debate started on October 23, 1891, on Friday. Maulavi Muhammad Bashir quoted in his paper five verses of the Quran to show that Jesus was still alive in the flesh. However, on 10-28-1891, MGA abruptly leaves the debate. MGA breaks his own contract, which is a serious crime per the Quran. Only 3 arguments had been put forward by Maulvi Muhammad Bashir Bhopali and no response had been given by MGA and his team. MGA flees to Patiala wherein his father-in-law was ill, however, Mir Nasir Nawab hadn’t accepted Ahmadiyya yet. Patiala was 157 miles to the west, about halfway home towards Qadian (see Dard).

This book carries a series of letters Muraslat No. 1, on page 221 onward that passed between Maulavi Muhammad Bashir and Maulavi Syed Muhammad Ahsan. Then on pages 483-507, under the heading of Muraslat No. 2, the letters passed between Munshi Bubah Shah, Munshi Muhammad Ishaq and the same devoted follower Maulavi Syed Muhammad Ahsan. They exchanged two letters. Maulavi Syed Muhammad Ahsan in his letter dated September 12,
1891, responding to the letter dated August 30 of Munshi Bubah Shah, discussed at length the points raised by him, specially the one in which Munshi Bubah Shah accused Mirza Ghulam Ahmad arrogating to himself the status of Ibnullah and ranking himself with Jesus Christ the son of God.

Per Ahmadiyya sources, “Al-Haq Mubahathah Dehli” was published 14 years later, in 1905 from Qadian (See Hidden Treasures). Months after the debate, Muhammad Hussain Batalvi wrote about it in his newspaper, the Ishaat us Sunnah.

MGA was referring to the famous hadith from Sahih-Muslim Hadith 2937a, The Book of Tribulations and Portents of the Last Hour, wherein Eisa (as) was called “Nabi-Ullah” 4 times. MGA said:

“It was unreliable, unacceptable, and not Sahih, which is why it is not in Bukhari.”

Ibn-al-Arabi
https://ahmadiyyafactcheckblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Ibn-al-Arabi-1.pdf

“””Then you say that ‘I have copied the statement of Muhiyudeen ibn ‘Arabi in Ishaatus Sunnah and written in the end that we do not consider revelation to be argument and proof.’ In reply to this I respectfully plead that if you were opposed to this statement why did you mention it without purpose? Your words must be extremely defective for firstly you clearly accept that for a claimant revelation is representative of a Legitimate Argument on behalf of a claimant as well as this you have openly accepted and in fact reiterated it referencing to the Hadith of Bukhari that the revelation of a scholar of Hadith is purified of Satanic intervention. Despite this I do not force you to consider revelation to be an argument but you do yourself accept in your Review that such revelation becomes an argument on behalf of the claimant. That is as much as I claim to establish. I too do not wish to force it upon you.

Then you say that it is wrong for me to ask why you had mentioned ibn ‘Arabi. If you were
opposed to him. For it is totally opposed to the purpose of your words. You stated in the beginning of your reply regarding the logicality of your statement that you are a follower of ibn ‘Arabi? If you are then may I ask why have you copied the Hadith of Sahih Bukhari which says that a scholar of Hadith is also a messenger like a prophet and why have you copied the saying of Muhammad Ismael that the revelation of a scholar of Hadith is purified of Satanic interventions as is that of a prophet. If you do not believe the Hadith of Bukhari then you ought to have said so in your previous papers that I do not consider the revelation of a scholar of Hadith to be purified from Satanic intervention! It is a surprise that on one hand you say Bukhari [this and] Bukhari [that] and on the other you act against it! Having said that if you believe that all the Traditions in Bukhari are Authentic then in this situation you will have to agree with ibn ‘Arabi because if it is revealed to a scholar of Hadith that a particular Hadith is a Fabrication and this is confirmed to him through repetitive revelation then will you not believe in accordance with the desire of Bukhari that the scholar of Hadith should consider such an Hadith to be Fabricated? Respected Maulvi why do you use such words? Why do you not inculcate the notion of God-Consciousness in your heart. Why become a liar, accursed one and devoid of faith. It is one thing to understand a precept from the point of view of estimation even if it is wrong and another to say something against an incident about which one knows the reality.

You commit a calumny from top to bottom and it is like fighting after the battle that you now
write this in your answer that ‘According to me such a scholar who calls an Authentic Hadith which is from the Canonical collections a Fabrication speaking on behalf of Satan and is Satan personified.’ You had listed in Ishaatus Sunnah the names of those respected persons who had mentioned such visions or such beliefs of theirs and never called them Satan embodied but have mentioned them as worthy recipients of praise for example in my support you copy the quote from the Futûhât of ibn ‘Arabi that some Traditions are revealed to be Fabricated through visionary experience so say truly what your intentions were at that time surely they were not to say that ibn ‘Arabi was Allah forbid an infidel or Satan personified? Does the word Great which you write here prove that those people were great infidels? You have in a letter included Muhiyudeen among the chiefest of mystics and the saints of Allah. That letter is not present at this time but there is another letter carrying the same meaning which you had written to Abdullah Ghaznavi deceased the text of which is this ‘Knowledge is of 2 kinds the first being apparent which is received through a means and endeavour and sight and demonstration the second being internal which is conveyed by the absolutely absent as stated by the Shaykh Muhiyudeen ibn ‘Arabi in the Futûhât.’ Do say why you mentioned Muhiyudeen ibn ‘Arabi here where you ought to have referred to words of the saints of The Gracious? If that respected one was Allah forbid Satan embodied according to your liberal heart would you have referred to him in a letter which you wrote to your teacher!”””

“””How long should I write a commentary about the differences that exist (in matter of faith). If any writing of Hadrat Mujaddid is in apparent contradiction with principles of Fiqah or hadith, and despite this contradiction, how it can be established that he was in error. He bases all his contention and assertions in the light of the Book of Allah, which is superior to all these sources. If anyone one has intellectual power to content with him, then he should foil his assertion in the light of Holy Quran, if not possible then through the hadith, and if that is not possible then prove it wrong through logic. Scholars of Islam have all been invited (by him) and see how many of them come in the field (to accept the challenge).”””

“””The soul is not something in space. The nature of its relationships cannot be determined. After death the soul has a relationship with the grave which is revealed to those who possess the faculty of seeing vision. They can see the dwellers of the graves sitting in their graves and can hold converse with them. This is established by true Ahadith. A well known hadith mentions Salat in a grave, it is also mentioned in the Ahadith that the dead can hear the sound of footsteps and respond to the greeting of peace. They also have a relationship with heaven. There are different degrees of their heavenly exaltation. Some arrives at the first heaven, others reach the second or the third heaven, but all righteous souls are exalted as is mentioned in true Ahadith and is also indicated by the verse: For those who reject Our signs and turn away from them in disdain, the gates of heaven will not be opened (7:41); but the nature of their relationship to heaven or to the graves cannot be determined.”””

“””The summit of union is to become identical to that through which it appears and not known in  itself as I saw the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a dream that he embraces Abu Muhammad ibn Hazm the scholar of Hadith. Then one disappeared into the
other except that there was none other than the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). So this is the summit of spiritual connection, which is also referred to as Union. (Futûhât al-Makkiya)”””.

What is Hyat-e-Nur? by Abdul Qadir (ex Sodaqar Mal)

Intro
Hyat-e-Nur seems to be an autobiography on the life of Maulvi Noorudin, which was written from Rabwah. It seems to be from 2 main sources, Nur-ud-Din (1904) and Mirqat ul Yaqin (1912). Per Ahmadi sources, it was written by Abdul Qadir (ex Sodaqar Mal).

–There is another book, by Mufti Muhammad Sadiq, (1937), Hayaat-i-Noor-ud-Deen. Qadian (See Hasanat Ahmad).

“Jang-e-Muqaddas” in english as ‘Holy War”, published in 1895, summary, background info and quotes

Intro
This is an Urdu book (which was recently translated into english in 2021) which seems to have been published in the early part 1895 (based on a stamp on the original edition), it seems to be a biased summary of the written debate between MGA (and his team) and Abdullah Athim (See Hidden Treasures). There are three books, one after another, Hujjatul-Islam, Sachcha’i Ka Izhar and Jang-e-Muqaddas, are all inter-connected and have a common theme. Hujjatul-Islam deals with the terms and conditions that were settled between MGA (and his team) and the Christian missionaries led by Dr. Henry Martyn Clark. The second book, Sachcha’i Ka Izhar in addition to discussing the terms of the debate with Christian missionaries, covers various invitations issued by MGA to Muslims to join him in a prayer duel. It also carries the text of an agreement on the part of ‘Abdullah Atham to become Muslim if he was defeated. As we all know, Athim didn’t die in the 15 month-period, thus, the prophecy failed and MGA was embarrassed.

In 1893, at age 65 (MGA was 53), Abdullah Athim agreed to have a written debate with MGA and MGA’s team of writers (See Church Missionary Society, CMS, Punjab and Sindh Mission report of 1900, also found herein). Athim famously debated MGA starting on May-22-1893 at the bungalow of Dr. Henry Martyn Clark. Padre Imad ud Din was also there (See page 152). MGA was getting help from Maulvi Muhammad Ahsan Amrohi, Maulvi Nur ud Din of Bhera (See Church Missionary Society, CMS, Punjab and Sindh Mission report of 1900, page 119, also found herein)(See also Dard, page 392)(see Mujadid e Azim, online abridged version, page 462) and “a noted opponent of Christianity from Ludhiana”. Athim had on his team, Rev. G.L. Thakur Dass of the American United Presbyterian Mission at Gujranwala, the Rev. Mr. Abdullah of the American Presbyterian Mission and Reverend Thomas Howell of the Church Missionary Society (at Clarkabad)(See “Holy War”, page 3). It ended on June 5th, which is 15 days later. Dr. Clark wrote about this written debate here. He offers the other side of the story, he notes that MGA didn’t predict any death in 15 months, MGA had asked for a Mubahila, however, a Mubahila had never happened in Islam and thus, the Christians refused. MGA seems to have had another Mubahila as soon as he left the house of Dr. Clark (see the Punjab Mission News). The biggest issue here is that this is mostly a one-sided story, Ahmadi’s are telling the story and thus, it is biased and dubious. Nevertheless, we have went through the facts and explained the story from a neutral perspective. It seems to us that the only reason that MGA allegedly blurted out that Athim would die in 15 months was because Athim and his team had brought into the debate 3 persons who were deaf, dumb and blind. They asked MGA to heal them, MGA blew a gasket, he was upset. This is when MGA yelled out that Athim would die.

In this book, MGA alleged that it was the Islamic belief that the adulterer should be stoned to death (see page 232)(via 24:2 of the Quran, 24:3 in the Kadiani koran). However, this is based on a famous hadith, not the Quran and MGA didn’t specify that. In fact, MGA tried to say that stoning an adulterer is in the Quran. In total contradiction to MGA, in the 5-volume Official Qadiani-Ahmad English Commentary of the Quran, Malik Ghulam Farid wrote that flogging was the punishment for zina only and stoning only happened before the law came down, or Muhammad (Saw) was following the mosaic law. The writings of Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad on this are unknown as of Dec-2024.

In 1913, the ROR of Jan has portions of this book translated into English. The ROR of Feb-1913 has portions of this book translated into English.

Was Mirza Ghulam Ahmad claiming to be Esa (as) as early as 1887?

Intro
As we all know, MGA planned all of his claims. Before 1879, he already knew that he was going to claim to be a prophet, the second coming of Esa (As) and etc etc. We have recently found announcement, which is referred to in Izala Auham, which was written just 4 years after this mystery announcement. In this announcement, MGA’s god seems to be telling MGA that he is in fact, Esa (as) the son of Mary. This is worrisome, since the Ahmadiyya jamaat has never admitted to this.

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad’s mystery announcement of July 10, 1887

Intro
In Izala Auham, MGA seems to have quoted an announcement from July 10th, 1887. However, this announcement seems to be totally missing from the records (See the book of announcements, which was published many years after 1920). Further, Ahmadi editors seem to have placed it into Ruhani Khuzain (Izala Auham), it wasn’t in the first edition. This announcement had to do with the death of Bashir-1, the Muhammadi Begum prophecy, and MGA’s length of mission. We have posted a partial translation of this mystery announcement in the below, this was included in the 1976, 2004, 2006, 2009 and 2018 english edition of Tadhkirah.

I shall make you famous with honour to the ends of the earth and shall exalt your name and shall put your love in the hearts of the people.

–[Arabic] We have made you Masih Ibne-Maryam [Messiah, son of Mary].

–[Urdu] Tell them: I have come in the footsteps of Jesus. They will say: ‘We have not heard any such thing from our ancestors’ Respond to them that: Your knowledge is limited; God knows
best. You are content with the letter and obscurity. The true reality has not been disclosed to you. He who realises that the foundation of the Ka‘bah was a design of divine wisdom is very wise, for he has partaken of the mysteries of the universe. One of high resolve will be born. He will be like you in beauty and benevolence. He will be of your progeny.

–[Persian] [Son, delight of the heart, high ranking, noble;]

–[Arabic] [A manifestation of the True and the High, as if Allah had descended from heaven. You will pass through different periods with different companions and will behold distant progeny. We shall bestow upon you a good life; eighty years or thereabouts.”””

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad’s age discrepancy and the arabic word Qareebun

Intro
In yet another case of Ahmadi backtracking and editing. Ahmadi mullahs seem to have edited MGA’s book Izala Auham (1891). This has to do with a quotation from 1887 which was not included in the original edition of Izala Auham. It should be noted that this quotation is an announcement about the Promised Son and seems to be from 1887, although Ahmadi editors claim that it is from 1888 (see Izala Auham, online urdu edition). This quotation is problematic in many ways. Firstly, it shows that MGA’s god was telling MGA that he was Esa (as) the son of Mary as early as 1887. Secondly, there is a specific arabic revelation of MGA at the very bottom which uses the quranic phraseology “Qareebun”, which means “near to”. Thirdly, this quotation wasn’t in the original book. It was added in the second or third edition and specifically to counter the FACT that MGA failed his age prophecy, which was specifically 40 years after 1880, since MGA was 40 years old in 1880 (See Nishan Asmani). Thus, in summary, Ahmadi authors went back and edited Izala Auham and thus added to it in an attempt to make it look like MGA was always asserting 80 or close to it. However, the english translations of 1976, 2004, 2006 and 2018 don’t properly translate “Qareebun” as “close-to”, instead they purposely mistranslate it as “thereabouts”, thus, giving an english reader the impression that MGA’s revelation meant 5 or 6 years more or less from 80, which is ridiculous. Finally, see 2:186, Allah is near, there are many examples like this in the Quran. See also 4:7, 90:15, 26:214, 56:11, 17:32 and many many others.

Read other essay’s about how Ahmadi mullahs purposely and willfully changed the year of birth of MGA from 1839-1840 to 1835.

Did Muslims ever get prophetic revelations wherein verses of the Quran were re-revealed onto them?

Intro
MGA claimed to be re-revealed the Quran in some weird way. MGA was also asserting that he was the second coming of Muhammad (Saw) in this way. In their desperation, unofficial Ahmadi’s like Razi at Ahmadi.answers are claiming that other Muslim scholars also claimed to be receive verses of the Quran via un-prophetic revelation and thus try to make a parallel. We are waiting to get a hold of these books and thus do a proper analysis. Nevertheless, it seems to us that these Muslim scholars received non-prophetic revelations which have zero to NO meaning. MGA claimed to be get prophetic revelation, and claimed to be the Mahdi and Esa (As)(nauozobillah), thus, the case of MGA is different. Interestingly, Razi quotes the Ghaznavi’s, who were around in MGA’s time. Razi doesn’t give scans, nor does he tell us as to who translated this for him. In fact, the Ghaznavi’s had the same teacher as MGA, Sayyid Nazir Husain, who also read MGA’s nikkah in 1884.

The Ghaznavi’s

Maulvi Abdullah Ghaznavi who was another Indian Saint of the last century also said he received verses in his divine revelation including:

“Send peace and blessings upon him.” (The Quran 33:57)

“And soon thy Lord will give thee so that thou art well pleased.” (93:6)

“Have We not expanded for thee thy bosom.” (94:2)

“Is not God sufficient for His servant.” (39:37)

“He is only a servant upon whom We bestowed favours.” (43:60)

He also received the following revelation

“Thou art from Me and I am from Thee. So fear not nor grieve.” (Biography of Maulavi Abdullah Ghaznavi by Maulavi Abdul Jabbar Ghaznavi, pp. 10 – 11)

Maulvi Abdul Jabbar Ghaznavi  wrote :“If someone receives a Divine revelation (ilham) which is some verse of the Quran addressed particularly to the Holy Prophet Muhammad, the recipient of this revelation would take it as referring to himself, and would interpret it in the light of his own circumstances and draw a lesson from it. …“So if someone has revealed to him verses specially addressed to the Holy Prophet, for instance: ‘Have We not expanded for thee thy breast’, ‘thy Lord will soon give thee so that thou wilt be pleased’, ‘Allah will suffice thee against them’, ‘be patient and resolute as the messengers were’, ‘hold thyself with those who call upon their Lord morning and evening’, ‘pray to thy Lord and sacrifice’, ‘obey not him whose heart We have made unmindful of Our remembrance, and he follows his low desires’, ‘He found thee groping and guided thee’; the meaning would be that that person would be granted these things to the extent that he deserves, according to his station. And as for the commands and prohibitions [in the revelations], these would apply to him as to the Holy Prophet.” (Asbat al-ilham, pp. 142 – 143)

Khawaja Mir Dard of Delhi has stated that he was revealed verses of the Qur’an in his book Ilm Al Kitab under Tahdees Ni’mat ar Rabb:

“Warn thy near relatives.” (The Quran, 26:215)

“Say: Allah is sufficient for me.” (39:39)

“Be steadfast as thou art commanded, and follow not their low desires.” (42:16)

“Grieve thou not for them, nor be distressed because of what they plan.” (27:71)

“Did He not find thee groping, and guided thee.” (93:8) ( ‘Ilm al-Kitab, pp. 61 – 64.)

The Ahmadiyya Conversion Fraud in Albania

Intro
The Ahmadiyya movement constantly lies about its membership, we have exposed the whole thing here. Albania was a communist country after WW-2. Ahmadi’s don’t seem to have gotten access to Albania until the 1990’s. Albania is roughly 50% Sunni Muslim. Mirza Tahir Ahmad claims 45,000 Albanian converts in 1995, the largest indigenous European Jamaat at the time. However, the Albania Jalsa of 2018 had only 332 total guests.

Who is the Ahmadi Mullah, Nazir Ahmad Mubasher (1910-1997)?

Intro
He was born in 1910. He arrived in Ghana in 1936 (See Fisher). He seems to have been working under Al Hajj Fadl-ul-Rahman Hakim. He seems to be in a group of Ahmadi Mullah’s who pioneered schools and thus conversions in the early 1930’s in British West Africa. In 1936, Ahmadiyya had 4 schools. In the ROR of Nov-1943, he is described as the Amir and missionary-in-charge, Gold Coast.

By 1959, he was the Amir of Ghana (see Fisher). His death is unknown. He seems to have died in 1997 at age 87. He seems to have had 2-3 wives and many children.
