Intro
It should be noted that in the very first edition of Arba’in (1900), MGA and his team of writers wrote that “Anbiya” (prophets) had said that the Mahdi would come in the 14th century and near the Punjab, however, in the 2nd edition (1920), they wrote a footnote wherein it was stated that this was a clerical error and the word should have been “auliya”. In 1984, when Ruhani Khuzain was created, the footnote was totally removed. Manzur Ahmad Chinioti explains this situation in this video. We have placed the clip by Manzoor Ahmad Chinioti on tik tok, see herein.
In 2025, Razi quoted this hadith from Ibn Majah and asserted that this hadith announces the arrival of the Mahdi-Messiah in the 14th century, however, it doesn’t say anything like that. Then, Razi alleges that Nawab Hassan Siddiq Khan used this hadith to announce the pending arrival of the Mahdi in India in the 1880’s (this is unconfirmed).
