Intro
In 1927, his 17-year-old son, James Poole allegedly converted to Ahmadiyya (see the ROR of Feb-1927, pages 4-5).

In the 1930 census, his name was written as William Poole (See the scan in the below and this video). His wife was Marie Poole, and lots of his children. Recently, someone made a video about the family of Elijah Muhammad and showed photo’s of his mother and father. It seems that his wife (Marie Poole) was still alive in 1940 (living in Detroit with Elijah Poole) as well as William Poole (see the scans in the below) and his mother Peggy Poole (the grandmother of Elijah Poole, ages 100) and living in Chicago.

In 1934 (See Detroit Free Press, 1934, Apr19, Page 1), Willie Mohammed, 68, of 4182 Dubois St. was arrested as part of the disturbance created by cult. His sons are also mentioned, Elijah Muhammad, John Muhammad, Kollat (also spelled Kallat) and Willie Poole Jr. Marie Poole is the mother of all of these brothers.

In the mid-1930’s, he changed his name to Wali Poole.

In 1944, he died.

In 1951 (Via Hatim), Elijah Muhammad’s father was mentioned by Elijah Muhammad himself as someone who also met W.D. Fard.
