Intro
On 10-19-25, I interviewed Bilal Muhammad and Dr. John Andrew Morrow about their book, “W. D. Fard: The Man, Mystery, and Myth Behind the Nation of Islam”. The questions are in the below.

______________________________________________________________________________________________20 refined questions

1. How has access to newspapers and new tell all books changing the narrative on Fard? Burnsteen, Wakeel Allah and Batey? Why was Fred Dodd seeking attention? Wallie Ford too! Why? Agents? Why would a drug dealer seek attention? Was the con up when photo’s of Fard surfaced in 2 newspapers? Did Fanusie see these photo’s? Isn’t this the single (2) biggest piece of info?

2. Were the FBI reports accurate? Which iteration? Was Fard a Polynesian aka New Zealander? Ford Island? Zared Ford and the bottling company? In 1959, a New Chicago Crusader article claimed that Fard was “a Turkish-born Nazi agent [who] worked for Hitler in World War II” based on an FBI dossier. Explain the first few iterations.

3. I thought you had a better ref for Fard claiming to be the Mahdi for the Muslims and the Messiah for the Christians? You have Hatim, 1950’s? What about the Final call of 1934–38? This nomenclature is not mentioned in Burnsteen or Beynon. How is research going into the archives of the Final Call? 1934? Moorish Guide? UNIA newspapers? I didn’t see much from Fard in 1930-1934 to connect him to any Ahmadiyya beliefs. Not even Jesus in India theory.

4. JW’s proves that Fard was not an Ahmadi at all. He was using anything he found. If the JW’s were allowed to run a scam and mormons and 7th day adventists, then why not Fard? Bahai’s too! Christianity painted black. Fard was a drug dealer turned religious scammer? Isn’t this common? Morrow also mentioned that ALL organized religions are a scam (see page 242, Morrow and Bilal). Explain…in Islam, is religion a non-profit for state controlled? What is better?

5. Les Payne, Fard was an ahmadi? Fanusie and her dissertation? According to Les Payne, “Fard reportedly described himself to Elijah as a member of the ‘Ahmadiyya,’ a religious sect founded in the late nineteenth century in India.” See: Les Payne, The Dead Are Arising: The Life of Malcolm X (New York: Liveright Publishing, 2020) 253. The late author failed to source this claim. There is no evidence to date that W.D. Fard was an Ahmadi missionary who went rogue. Did Payne see the photo’s from 1932? Why was this book published so late?

6. The 2 famous photo’s from the newspaper were lost, Turner didn’t quote it or even see the photo’s. Fanusie didn’t see the photo?

7. In 1942, Elijah Muhammad was indicted for his sympathies with Japan. Japan went on to lose the war? That’s not true. The newspaper state draft dodging. Malcolm too, JW’s too.

8. Only one meal a day? No prayers at all, mythology. Fard didn’t sleep? What drugs are those? What kind of myths are these?

9. Fard’s accent and babies that aren’t his. White women and indulging.

10. Why was WD Muhammad convinced that Fard was a white man? Many videos. He knew that his father was a scammer? Why else did he make drastic business decisions? Is freedom of religion wrong? Many videos on this, he differered.

11. “Mukhmud”? Didn’t Elijah Mohammed use this alias too. Why did Fard refer to potential converts as “smellers”? John Muhammad and the “Quwan”? EM and others didn’t even care to learn Islam. No prayers, no ramadhan, nothing.

12. In the USA, Islam was represented from the Shia-Arab (from Syria), however, literature in English on Islam was dominated by desi authors who used Urdu, hence, it reflects in Fard’s choice of words. Ahmadiyya literature was allowed free reign in all British colonies, even West Africa. Marcus Garvey and the Ahmadi teachings. Even the MST and Noble Drew Ali took the Jesus in India theory, however, Fard didn’t. Could it also be the English language newspapers from the Lahori and Qadiani groups which influenced names?

13. Did you search up 504 Woodside Ave, Ferndale? I wasn’t able to find anything, I havent been able to figure out how to search addresses. Was the name taken by Elijah’s dad or brother? 1942. In Apr-1934 (See Detroit Free Press1934Apr19Page 1), Wali Mohammed, aged 33 (is this Willie Poole Jr.?), from 504 Woodside Ave, Ferndale was arrested as part of the disturbance created by cult. He was not mentioned as “white”. In Aug-1934, Wali Mohammed wrote an essay about the “The Educational Department of Islam” by Prophet Fard. It is not mentioned that Wali Mohammed is white and blue eyed. A Wali Mohammed and Shaikh Wali Dod are also mentioned in Jan-1934, via the Cleveland Call and Post (of Sat, Jan 20, 1934 ·Page 4) report that the people of the Cleveland “Head Mosque” were surprised by a lecture from Wali Mohammed aka the medicine man, Maulvi Muhammad Yusuf Khan also spoke. A photo of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was given in the newspaper, Tuesday night, 7pm. The same newspaper mentions the news of the “Mother Mosque” as well, and how a man named Shaikh Wali Dod gave a speech and was referred to as God. This appeared on the “Religion” page of the newspaper and was a daily or bi-daily publication and MGA’s face appeared many times. News from the Dayton Mosque via Sheikh Nazeer Elahi is also given, this is the Ahmadiyya mission, Dr. M.Y. Khan is listed as the missionary. However, simultaneously, Dr. M.Y. Khan is teaching the other 2 groups of Muslims, one by Brother Abdullah Farook. The other by Omar Mohammed who had recently returned, they both seem to be connected to Dr. M.Y. Khan and Brother Abdullah Farook. Sheikh Nazeer Elahi gave a speech on “The Life of Mohammed”. The Mosque has recently moved to 216 Euclid Ave. Interestingly, the Cleveland Mosque, which is ran by Sheikh Nasir Ahmed is mentioned and money was being collected for the travel expenses ($2) of the Ahmadiyya missionary, Dr. M.Y. Khan, who will allegedly represent them to the East. The Colombus Mosque by Rasheed Hosas is also mentioned, the rope of Allah is discussed.

In 1941-1942, via FBI reports (See 72/126), Wali Mohammed is in-charge of the Detroit Temple and went to Washington D.C. to check up on the arrest of Elijah Mohammed. On Tuesday, May-19-1942 (Page 9)(See scan in the below), The Evening Star (of Washington D.C.) newspaper reported that Sultan Muhammad is named as a worker of Elijah Mohammed in Milwaukee. Willie Mohammed was also arrested, this seems to be a typo, Willie Mohammed is listed as 50 years old, it could also be Wali Mohammed.

14. Why did the school keep running after 1932?

15. Why is 1931 missing? 1930 too. No info on Farad. Even Elijah Mohammed converted in roughly 1932. There is also an indication that the location at Hastings was newly rented in Oct-1932. Where was the money coming from for all of this? Who funded Fard? At 24:16, Dr. Morrow alleges that Fard was in Chicago prior to his arrest in Detroit in 1932 and was using the name William D. Fard. Dr. Morrow says that William D. Fard was alleging to be from Oregon and his father was a Mexican from Argentina and his mother was from Oregon. 1930 census?

16. The car, only in 1933, after Farad was on the run. Is that enough money to buy a car? How much did cars cost in 1933? Are all of Burnsteen’s memories from Oct-1932, i.e., the picnics and car rides? When did Burnsteen ride in the car? Oct-1932? It cant be after.

17. The parents of Burnsteen went missing after 1934 (her mom was in 1934)? Her father was an employee of Farad or a laborer? Was Burnsteen also an employee? Why didn’t she marry until Fard was long gone? Was she out of Highschool in 1932 and seeking employment? But there were no jobs available. Why didn’t Burnsteen mentioned the huge arrest of Nov-1932 and May-1933? And 1934? Why did Burnsteen mention Ugan Ali in 1933? He should have been long gone. Gifts? The letter dated as Apr-13-1934 is uneventful, robotic and indicative of transactional relationship. What happened to the car? The letter dated as May-23-1934 is even less voracious, which is strange because on Apr-19-1934 there was a huge arrest, why wasn’t this mentioned? In 1934 (See Detroit Free Press1934Apr19Page 1), Burnsteen Sharrief was mentioned in the newspaper as one of the Negro’s that were arrested, she is listed as 17 years old and living 2301 Erskine St, Detroit, MI. It seems that her brother is also mentioned as among the arrested, David Sharrief, also 17 years old. Did she meet Farad in 1935? Where did this come from? Also in 1935 (March-8), she married John Mohammed. In terms of the car, Burnsteen alleged to have riden in it? When was this? What car was this? He had 2 cars?

  • When Master Fard Muhammad drove his car, he drove so fast he was known to have a heavy foot.

  • Master Fard Muhammad drove the Reformer Burnsteen Sharrieff Muhammad and mother Clara Muhammad in his car.

  • Master Fard Muhammad drove a Ford automobile and he referred to it as “Cavy” because a Caucasian had given it to him.

18. His comments about the breasts of women come across as creepy: “the breast was small and becoming, not big flabs of fat hanging nearly to her waist;” “breasts that were once medium and becoming, became large and flabby hanging nearly to the waist. Louis A. DeCaro, Jr., also wrote that “He was last seen at the Chicago airport in February 1934.” Her daughter, Medina Mohammed, has refused to reveal where her mother’s letters were sent. She has also declined to disclose where W.D. Fard’s letters were mailed from.

Under #18–Why was Wali Mohammed arraigned on Apr-19-1934? He wasnt part of the 13 that were arrested on Apr-17. He is part of the 6 additional teachers that were arraigned a few days later. Why was he in jail? Elijah Mohammed wasnt arrested during the raid either, and was also arraigned, an additional 6 people were arraigned (Wali Mohammed, David Sharrief, Ocier Zarrief, Willie Mohammed, Kallat Mohammed and Elijah Mohammed).

Burnsteen was in jail too, for like 9 days. Why isnt that even mentioned? I know towards the end of the letters.

Who is the Wali Mohammed mentioned in In Jan-1934, via the Cleveland Call and Post (of Sat, Jan 20, 1934 ·Page 4)? The medicine man? Shaikh Wali Dod?

19. Cuernavaca, Mexico? Omar Weston, formerly Mark Weston, a British-born surfer and missionary who has been spreading Salafism and Wahhabism in Mexico for over.

Japan? However, in 1934, Babe Ruth and others went to Japan for a tour. Is this counter-intelligence? Have you went into “Wilayat Takwiniyat”? Other super sufi concepts which are kufr? Fard stole from everyone! John Muhammad said the arabs wouldnt talk to them, the Syrians.

20. Is the case solved? What is next?
