Intro
By 1933, the Ahmadiyya Movement had never mentioned Cleveland as a place wherein a mission was established. However, there was a white convert who seems to be mostly in and around Chicago from 1930-1933, Omar Cleveland. The Moslem Sunrise never acknowledged any Ahmadiyya mission in Cleveland from 1928–1934.
Nevertheless, an official Ahmadiyya missionary, M. Yusuf Khan was working in Cleveland and told the Cleveland Call and Post of Sat, Jan 06, 1934 ·Page 4 that there was an Ahmadiyya mission in Cleveland. Reports ended when Dr. M.Y. Khan sailed to India, which is roughly Apr-7-1934.
There is a report in the Cleveland Call and Post of Sat, Jan 13, 1934 ·Page 4 by Ahsan Elihee. The report tells the world that Dr. M.Y. Khan has selected Shaikh Nasir Ahmad to be the imam of the Cleveland Mosque, allegedly, 9 people have joined up thru his efforts. Bro Muhammad Talib and his candy machine is mentioned. Shaikh Nasir Ahmad has asked the members of the Cleveland Mosque to pay their monthly dues and $2 each for the travelling expenses of Dr. M.Y. Khan (a delegate of the Far East) who is set to sail to India.

On Sunday night, Bro Walee Karam and Sh Nasir Ahmad spoke. A series of lectures by Dr. M.Y. Khan are scheduled (a missionary from the Far East) at 5311 Woodland, 3rd floor (in Cleveland?).

Shaikh Nasir Ahmad is their teacher. On Sunday night, Feb-11, Dr. Khan spoke about Islam and the Negro. 7 new members allegedly joined up.

Via the Cleveland Call and Post of Sat, Mar 17, 1934 ·Page 2, there is a report on Ahmadiyya activity in Cleveland by Hameeda Kadeer. Shaikh Nasir Ahmad is their leader and teacher. His subject seems to be the Qadiani-Ahmadi Khalifa Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad and his father, the Messiah (Mirza Ghulam Ahmad). On Sunday night, there was a program by the women, the President of the women is Sister Maneera Afzal, Sister Fateema Sadiq is the secretary, Sister Amtul Hafez is the treasurer.

On Tuesday night, Shaikh Nasir Ahmad married Ali Beebe in the Cleveland Mosque. Shaikh Abu Saleh (spelled as Shaik Abu Sallee) proceeded over the marriage ceremony. After the wedding, Shaikh Nasir Ahmad left for Philadelphia, wherein he shall remain for quite some time. Musa Haleem, Ahmad Abdullah, Taleb Elahee, Abdul Wahal, Jaafr Azaam (Jafir Azim?) and Abdullah Eesa.
Via the Cleveland Call and Post of Sat, Apr 07, 1934 ·Page 2, there is a report on Ahmadiyya activity in Cleveland by Yusuf Khan. Yusuf Khan announces that “his” headquarters is moving from Pittsburgh (includes Braddock?) to 5311 Woodland Ave, Cleveland, Ohio. Yusuf Khan says that Pittsburgh (includes Braddock?) was his headquarters for 4 years (since 1930). Yusuf Khan alleges to have faced bitter opposition to Ahmadiyya in these 4 years. Yusuf Khan alleges that there are 11 men and 1 woman who are carrying on his mission. On Mar-29, the Ahmadi’s of Pittsburgh gave Yusuf Khan a farewell ceremony, with 300+ attending. Some of which were Sh. Nasir Ahmad, Sh. Abdul Wahab, Sh. Abid Haque, Sh. Saeed Akmal and Sh. Abdullah Farook. Sh. Abdullah Farook was made in-charge of the Pittsburgh mission. Yusuf Khan tells the Ahmadi’s of Cleveland that they need to pay! Yusuf Khan tells the Ahmadi’s of Cleveland that in Ahmadiyya, if you don’t pay for 3 months, kick them out! Yusuf Khan is scheduled to tour Cincinnati soon.
