Intro
In Dec-2025, Maulvi Razi debated Talha Alvi (a “Modern Muslim”, and via the Quran and Sunnah) on the Muslim Today youtube channel.

In Summary, Razi threw the firqa card many times, in response to this Talha Alvi highlighted the firqay in Ahmadiyya. Maulvi Razi was supposed to stick to the Quran in this debate, however, he deviated many times and was not able to prove that Khatam means Best from the Quran only. Talha Alvi repeatedly asked Razi to show him proof, however, Maulvi Razi didn’t care to answer.

Maulvi Razi also told Talha Alvi that the Messiah (MGA) would be the Judge (hakam) and decide via the Quran. In response to this, Talha Alvi says Qadiani’s have 2 firqay (sects), why is Razi crying about sects in Islam? Also, Talha Alvi points out the irony in the Ahmadi quotation of hadith, specifically, how Ahmadi’s metaphorize everything about the return of Eisa (as), however, not the nabi ullah part (See on TikTok and Twitter).

Talha Alvi proved that Khatam was never defined as “best” from any “Kalam-e-Arab”.

–At 4:22, Maulvi Razi presented 5:45 of the Quran and said that we must just by the Quran (this is in contradiction to MGA being the Hakam). Maulvi Razi alleges that Ghamidi wrote the same. Ironically, MaulvI Razi argues that the Quran will explain the Qurab, this is a rule that Maulvi Razi would like to use.

–At 6:00, Maulvi Razi argues that Ghamidi believes that the Messiah will be a reformer from the Christians. Maulvi Razi says that we must use the Quran to solve the case.

–At 7:05, Maulvi Razi mentions Qaiser Raja by name and says that he refused to judge by the Quran.

–At 7:34, Maulvi Razi argues that Alvi said that he would be representing “Ahl-e-Sunnah Wa Jamaat”, however, every firqa in Islam has a different interpretation of “Khatam un Nabiyeen”. Maulvi Razi alleges that Ghamidi defines Khatam means mohr, the type that closes. Maulvi Razi alleged that “Ulema-e-Arab” have defined this as “Fazeelat” (rank of best).

–At 8:20, Maulvi Razi showed a scan which alleges that Khatam means Afzal by Imam Badr al-Din al-‘Ayni.

–At 10:30, Maulvi Razi presents the view of Qasim Nanotvi via “Tadhir e Nas”.

–At 11:19, Maulvi Razi present 7:35 as he argues that prophets will always continue.

–At 13:25, Maulvi Razi presented 3:81 of the Quran (3:82 in the Kadiani Koran) and 33:7 (33:8 in the Kadiani Koran).

–At 13:42, Maulvi Razi says that “the covenant of the prophets” was also taken from Muhammad (Saw)(inferring that Muhammad saaw knew that MGA would do his tasdiq).

–At 16:37, Talha Alvi starts talking, he says that we aren’t here to discuss the books of Ghamidi. We are here to discuss the concept of Khatme Nubuwwat in the Quran only. He presents the context of 33:40.

–At 21:04, Talha Alvi argues that per the Quran, we can’t define khatam in 33:40 as “best”. Alvi quotes Bukhari and says that only Mubashirat is left (1/46th).

–At 22:44, Alvi argues that the Quran will decide, he said this many times.

–At 24:40, Maulvi Razi starts.

–At 27:42, (and 27:54) Maulvi Razi argues that a Rasul will come and decide on the Quran. Maulvi Razi says the Quran says this.

–At 28:20, Maulvi Razi infers that MGA came to decide between all the firqay (73) in Islam. Maulvi Razi agrees that they should decide via the Quran, however, the Quran itself is in dispute and someone is needed. Maulvi Razi argues that it would be the Messiah who would come and sort out all the sects in Islam and also be the “musadiq Rasul” (via 3:81). Maulvi Razi argues that ilham is still a normal thing for Muslims. Even Umar (ra) had kalam (discussions) with Allah, even the sahaba got Kashf and ilham.

–At 31:13, Maulvi Razi argues that the Messiah will give commentary on the Quran and solve all sectarian issues and unite the ummah of Muslims.

–At 31:56, Alvi starts talking. He points out Maulvi Razi keeps quoting Ghamidi, which is quite hilarious at this point, even the host chuckled about it. Alvi says that he respects Ghamidi, however, he is not here as a representative of Ghamidi, he is simply a “Modern Muslim”, and via the Quran and Sunnah, I learn about Islam. Thus, Maulvi Razi should stop presenting “Babbay” (old men) and present the Quran instead.

–At 33:00, Alvi responded to Maulvi Razi’s use of the “firqa-card” and said what about the Lahori-Ahmadi’s? In response to Maulvi Razi saying Muslims differ on 33:40, Alvi pointed out that the Lahori-Ahmadi’s have a different view of prophethood than the Qadiani’s and vice versa.

–At 34:44, Alvi says that forget about denying “Khatme Nubuwwat”, Ahmadi’s are denying the Quran.

–At 36:17, Alvi asks to see if any Arab ever translated Khatam as best.

–At 40:47, Maulvi Razi quoted Ghamidi and his book, Maizan.

–At 43:24, Maulvi Razi argues that there was a need for a prophet, and thus MGA was sent.

–At 44:40, Alvi says we are only here to use the Quran, but Razi keeps quoting the Mufassirs. Alvi says that he is not here officially representing Ghamidi, so stop quoting Ghamidi. Alvi keeps asking to see wherein an Arab person explained Khatam to mean best, Razi can use hadith too.

–At 48:35, Alvi accuses Maulvi Razi of ignoring the context of 3:81 and 33:7. Alvi says the Quran is understood by the Quran, not the wahi/ilham of MGA. Alvi refutes Razi’s false allegations on him that he is waiting for a reformer amongst the Christians.

–At 50:00, Alvi asks if MGA’s ilhams are above the Quran?

–At 51:33, Alvi interrupts Maulvi Razi and says he won’t allow this, Maulvi Razi isn’t answering.

–At 53:29, Maulvi Razi argues that Ghamidi wrote somewhere that a prophet comes in the time of need.

–At 56:00, Maulvi Razi argues that he thought Alvi followed Ghamidi.

–At 57:47, Alvi says that he has asked Maulvi Razi over and over again to show him from an Arab that Khatam means Best.

–At 59:40, Alvi points out that when it comes to the alleged death of Eisa (as) and the phrase “Mutawafeeka”, Ahmadi’s quote other verses to attempt to prove their point, however, in the case of Khatam, they shy away from this behavior and rightly so, since it disproves Ahmadiyya. Again, Alvi points out that Razi can never show him any Arab who defined Khatam as best. At the end, Alvi asks if an Ahmadi can simply follow the ilham of MGA and not the Quran.

–At 1:04:25, instead of showing wherein an Arab has defined Khatam as best, Maulvi Razi quotes the same hadith and refuses to answer the question properly. Maulvi Razi presented the “Last masjid” argument.

–At 1:05:45, Maulvi Razi says that MGA got an ilham that Eisa (as) died, and before that, the Muslem ulema couldn’t fully understand this.

–At 1:06:25, Maulvi Razi says that the way that MGA explained the alleged death of Eisa (as), no one had ever done so.

–At 1:10;16, Alvi asks again, how did Khatam come to mean “the best”? Alvi says over and over again, he wants to see the “Kalam-e-Arab” define Khatam as best.

–At 1:16:25, Alvi says that the next debate must be on the false usage of the Quran by Ahmadi’s. Alvi says that Maulvi Razi is relying on old men, instead of the Quran.

–At 1:19:50, Maulvi Razi cries about the ending of wahi-ilham-kashf by Ghamidi and attributes it to Alvi.

At 1:20:00, Maulvi Razi complains about 73 lost firqay in Islam.

–At 1:23:28, Maulvi Razi said that even though Alvi called him a Qadiani, no worries.

–At 1:24:54, Alvi says that Maulvi Razi tried to get an interpretation of Khatam from hadith and insert it into the Quran, Alvi says that this is not right.

–At 1:27:22, Alvi says that his principle is to put the Quran first. He tells Shias and others the exactly that.

–At 1:28:42, Alvi says that Qadiani’s have 2 firqay. Alvi says that MGA came and created additional firqay and fitna.

–At 1:29:28, he points out that Qadiani’s take everything as a metaphor in the hadith about the return of Eisa (as), however, not prophethood. Alvi points out the irony in this.

–At 1:30:22, Alvi says that MGA is supposed to be the judge, but this judge’s orders have confused people (inferring the Lahori-Ahmadi’s).

–At 1:30:56, the host, Abrar, asks Maulvi Razi is it true that in “Kalam-e-Arab”, Khatam doesn’t mean best? Maulvi Razi countered with the argument that not all words exist in “Kalam-e-Arab”. Maulvi Razi says he showed literature from the same era wherein Khatam was used to infer best. Maulvi Razi also says that it’s not his job to defend this, Talha brought it up, so he should defend it.

–At 1:35:45, Maulvi Razi cried about Qaiser Raja.
