Intro
The main religion in Mayotte is Islam, with 97% of the population Muslim and 3% Christian. French is the only official language of Mayotte. It is the language used for administration and the school system. It is the language most used on television and radio as well as in commercial announcements and billboards. In spite of this, knowledge of French in Mayotte is lower than in any other part of France.
Ahmadiyya was introduced to the island in 2015. They seem to be managed from Mauritius.
In 2025, a delegation from Mayotte arrived on an all expenses paid trip to the UK for the 2025 UK Jalsa and even met with the Khalifa. They are trying to build a new temple for the new Ahmadi’s. It seems that women are the vast majority of the membership.

Mujeeb Ahmad is the missionary-in-charge in Mauritius, from there he manages Mayotte for the Khalifa. Usama Joya seems is another Ahmadi mullah working on the island.
