Intro
Ch. Khushi Mohammad Nazir seems to have been a Qadiani-Ahmadi. He is the author of the famous Urdu poem “Jogi”, for over 40 years (1894–) he worked for the British Government as the governor of Sirinagar, Kashmir. He died in 1944 and is buried in his house compound in Srinagar, Kashmir. 10+ years later, at Rabwah, his youngest daughter (youngest child)(a medical student) was married into the Mirza family with Hamid Ahmad Khan (a law student). His son-in-law (Hamid Ahmad Khan) mentioned him on his flikr account in the USA in roughly 2009-2013.

Per Hamid Ahmad Khan, Ch. Khushi Mohammad Nazir joined the civil service of the State of Kashmir soon after he did his masters from Aligarh University which should be around 1894. Upon his retirement from the State service he was called by the ruler of Rampur as his personal advisor. After that he settled on his land in Burewali (Layalpur) and used to visit Sirinagar for summer where his sons and nephews held position of influence. The macro details, I do not know. I have to obtain a copy of his Diwan from my wife (his daughter) when she returns from France, which contains a sketch of his life.

His children seem to have donated on his behalf and he is thus included in the famous list of 5000 pious Ahmadi’s in the 1950‘s.
