Intro
In 65:10-12, Allah is talking about the revelations (dhikr, see the last word of verse 65:10) that Muhammad (Saw) brought (i.e., the Quran, see Tafsir ibn Kathir, he quoted 15:9 also), and how they were physically sent down (Nuzul)(via angels to Muhammad [saw])(See Suyuti too). Allah also sent the Cattle (39:6), 57:25 (Iron and the Quran), Cotton (7:26), honey (2:57), Truffles and Quails (2:57, 7:160 and 20:80), the Quran (3:7), humans and the Maida (table spread in Chapter 5:111-116). Obviously, Ahmadi’s reject all of these. Lastly, there is a famous hadith from Sahih-Bukhari wherein Muhammad (saw) goes on oath and says that Eisa (as) will descend (Nuzul).

However, MGA immediately objected, in the 1882-1884 era, MGA quoted 65:10-12 of the Quran and argued that God has sent His Book and His Messenger, who recites the Word of Allah to you, so that the believing and righteous ones may be brought out of every darkness into light (See BA-4, pages 60-61).

In 1891, MGA used 65:10 of the Quran as he desperately refused the physical return of Eisa (as)(See MGA’s debate with Maulvi Muhammad Bashir Sehsavani)(See Mujadid-e-Azim, online English edition, abridged). Again, in 1926, the 2nd Khalifa made the same argument (see page 48). See also Dard, page 285 and Essense of Islam, via [Majmu‘ah Ishtiharat, vol. 3, pp. 326-327].

Qadiani-Ahmadi’s do the same with 2:4 of the Quran and the word Unzila.

Punishment for defying Allah’s Commandments

Allah the Exalted threatens those who defy His commands, deny His Messengers and contradict His legislation, by informing them of the end that earlier nations met who did the same,

(And many a town revolted against the command of its Lord and His Messengers;) meaning, they rebelled, rejected and arrogantly refused to obey Allah and they would not follow His Messengers,

(and We called it to a severe account, and We shall punish it with a horrible torment.) meaning, horrendous and terrifying,

(So it tasted the evil result of its affair,) meaning, they tasted the evil consequences of defiance and they regretted their actions when regret does not avail,

(and the consequence of its affair was loss. And Allah has prepared for them a severe torment.) means, in the Hereafter, added to the torment that was sent down on them in this life. Allah the Exalted said, after mentioning what happened to the disbelieving nations,

(So have Taqwa of Allah, O men of understanding,) meaning, `O you who have sound understanding, do not be like them because if you do, you will suffer what they suffered, O people of comprehension,’

(who believe) meaning, in Allah and His Messengers,

(Allah has indeed sent down to you a Reminder.) meaning, this Qur’an. Allah also said,

(Verily, We, it is We Who have sent down the Dhikr and surely, We will preserve it.) (15:9)
