Intro
In the famous 1901 census of British-India, MGA had Ahmadiyya separated from Muslims and declared a new firqa (See Tiryaq ul Qulub in the below). Maulvi Razi said the 73rd sect didn’t come into existence until MGA made his claim! 14 years after MGA died, with the publishing of Tajalliyat-e-Ilahiyyah (Divine Manifestations in English, page 24)(1922), MGA called Ahmadiyya a firqa 3 times.

Yasir Qadhi explains that this hadith is allegorical, its doesnt actually mean that there will be 73 sects of Muslims.
