On Tuesday, Nov-16-1987, Dr. Khalid Parwez (38 years old) dropped off his son at Mesa Robles Junior High School at roughly 8am (See The Los Angeles Times of Sat, Dec 12, 1987 ·Page 4). Dr. Khalid Perwez alleged that he worked a 24-hour shift at Kaiser Permanente wherein he got off at 8:30 Am on Tuesday, Nov-17-1987. It seems that his son, 11-year old Raheel Parwez (7th grader at Mesa Robles Junior High School) was not there for pickup from school and the police immediately began questioning his younger brother, Nabeel Parwez, age-7, who alleged that he saw his uncle (Sattar Ahmad, age 27, new in America) at the scene of the school drop off in a blue car. After the police searched his apartment complex, they saw blood and then checked the dumpster and found the body of Raheel Ahmad. Police said that the flesh was still warm when they found the body.
On Tuesday, Nov-17-1987, the body of 11-year old Raheel Parwez (7th grader at Mesa Robles Junior High School) was found in a dumpster on Colina Road at an apartment complex (See the Santa Barbara News-Press of Sat, Nov 21, 1987 ·Page 4)(At Hacienda Pines Apartments). It was found by a maintenance worker (See The Los Angeles Times of Sat, Dec 12, 1987 ·Page 2) (See The Los Angeles Times of Sat, Nov 21, 1987 ·Page 50)(See The Los Angeles Times of Fri, Nov 20, 1987 ·Page 54)(See The Los Angeles Times of Sat, Nov 21, 1987 ·Page 3). The parents of Raheel Parwez are Dr. Khalid Parwez (38 years old) and Amtul Karim Parwez. Nabeel Parwez, age-7, is the younger brother of Raheel Parwez. Their uncle is Sattar Ahmad, age-27. It seems that the uncle of Raheel Parwez, Sattar Ahmad had his apartment raided and this body was eventually found. He is now the prime suspect. The Los Angeles Times of Sat, Dec 05, 1987 ·Page 80 alleged that the body of Raheel Parwez was found on Nov-16. Upon being told about his sons murder, Dr. Khalid Parwez (38 years old) showed no emotion (See The Los Angeles Times of Sat, Dec 12, 1987 ·Page 4).
By Nov-20, The Los Angeles Times published photo’s and new evidence which linked Dr. Khalid Parwez, his brother (Sattar Ahmad) and his ex-wife to the murder. Specifically, Nabeel Parwez, age-7 told the police that he saw his brother get into a “blue car” as he looked back after his car dropped him off at Mesa Robles Junior High School. Raheel Parwez was not there when someone came to pick him up from school in the afternoon. It seems that Dr. Khalid Parwez dropped off both of his sons (11-year old Raheel Parwez and Nabeel Parwez, age-7) at school at roughly 8am. However, their uncle, Sattar Ahmad swooped in and picked up Raheel Ahmad and took him to an apartment. Their father, Dr. Khalid Parwez told the police that he went to go and work a 24 shift at Kaiser Permanente in West Los Angeles (he works as a Gynecologist). The police questioned Dr. Khalid Parwez and released him. However, they also asked the family questions and new evidence was revealed. Furthermore, Amtul Karim Parvez accused her ex-husband of framing her with these false letters and thus stealing custody of the children. Dr. Khalid Parwez and his ex-wife Amtul Karim Parwez were in a bitter custody battle for many years it seems. Court documents from 1986 revealed that the Judge had given full custody of the 2 boys to Dr. Khalid Parwez, after it was revealed that Amtul Karim Parwez (the mother of the kids) was writing in her diary that her sons were about to die, she was claiming revelations like Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. It was also discovered that Raheel Parwez was linked to two large sums of money totaling $5500, made out to his brother, Sattar Ahmad (age 27), who was missing and on the run. These payments were made soon after the murder. The prosecutor also doubted the alibi of Dr. Parwez and alleged that Dr. Parwez snuck away for 5 hours. Furthermore, Sattar Ahmad cashed a check for $2500 at Century Federal Savings in Puente Hills on Nov 13 and opened a $500 checking account on that date. New sources say that they saw the murder victim (Raheel Parwez) at 9:20 Am at an Alpha Beta market, wherein Raheel bought 2 small airplanes, one white and one blue, for $1.29 each.
