Intro
He is mentioned in the famous first 313 Ahmadi’s list (see Dard, see page 848, Ahmadi #146). He wrote an essay which was translated and published in the ROR of July-1943. He seems to have been an ardent follower of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and was a naturi, just like Maulvi Abdul Kareem and many other Ahmadi pioneers. However, he converted to Ahmadiyya in roughly 1891-1896 and remained an Ahmadi until he died (sometime after 1943).
The ROR of July-1943 gives a testimony by Sh. Karam ilahee (from Patiala) wherein he tells about a story with Maulvi Abdul Kareem leading prayers at Qadian. After the prayer, Sh. Karam ilahee (from Patiala) was introduced to MGA via Maulvi Abdul Kareem as a naturi, a person who was following Sir Syed and etc. Mirza Ghulam Ahmad then asked Sh. Karam ilahee (from Patiala) if he had read the books of Sir Syed Ahmad and Sh. Karam ilahee (from Patiala) confirmed it. Sh. Karam ilahee (from Patiala) said that he came from an educated family and thus had read the books of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. MGA then asked him if he had the books of MGA? Sh. Karam ilahee (from Patiala) confirmed that he had read all of MGA’s urdu books. MGA then asked as to what books of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan appealed to Sh. Karam ilahee (from Patiala) and he replied with “Khutbat-i-Ahmadiyya” (Which was written by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan while he was in London in 1870). Sh. Karam ilahee (from Patiala) also mentioned “Tabyeenul Kalam” as a favorite book of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. MGA then asked Sh. Karam ilahee (from Patiala) what difference was between MGA’s books and Sir Syed Ahmad Khan’s books? Sh. Karam ilahee (from Patiala) responded with a metaphor. MGA then said that the difference can be seen in terms of the Miraj, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan called it a dream, whereas MGA called it a spiritual vision (Kashf).

A LUNATIC AND ABSENT MINDED FAKE MESSIAH MIRZA GHULAM QADIANI LOST CHANDA MONEY, by Hashmi
(1077) Shaikh Karam Elahi sahib informed me in writing that when Hazrat Masih e Moud (Mirza Ghulam) arrived at Patiala Railway Station he led the maghrib prayer himself. Here an unpleasant event took place. What happened was that when huzur started his ablution he had a hand kerchief containing Rupees 100, in it. While holding LOTA (Ewer), in his hand, Huzur handed over this hand kerchief to a stranger. After completion of prayer, huzur asked about money from all those who were near to him but no body accepted to have this hand kerchief and money Rs.100/-.

MIRZA GHULAM QADIANI SERVES “KHEER KE PIYALEY”(SWEET DISH) TO THE FOLLOWERS
Delicious food, cuisines, desserts were the biggest traps by which Mirza Ghulam hunted many poor Mullahs and common men and increased the number of his disciples. These mouth watering dishes were prepared at his home under the supervision of his Dehli origin second wife Nusrat Jehan.
His son Bashir Ahmad MA narrates this as under:
