Intro
Three brothers, Mohammed Karoub (he bought 25 copies of the Moslem Sunrise [Oct-1921, page 39] and funded Mufti Sadiq and his travels and his expenses, see the Rutledge Daily Herald, Aug-28-1922 in the below), Hussein Karoub (mentioned in the first edition of the Moslem Sunrise of July-1921, see page 22 and Osman Karoub (Ahmadiyya sources allege that Othman Karroub converted to Qadianism, see the first edition of the Moslem Sunrise of July-1921, see page 13), migrated from Damascus to the United States about 1912. They worked as farm laborers in Connecticut but then heard about Henry Ford’s need for workers and moved to Highland Park for the higher wages. Mohammed Karoub assembled Fords for some time but quickly realized that there was a fortune to be made in real estate investments in the booming Detroit area. Apparently, he became prosperous. He believed that the growing Muslim community needed a mosque.
