In 1913, the British Government forcibly shut down a major Urdu newspaper of the Qadiani-Ahmadi’s, the Al-Badr. In the obscene article (edited by Mufti Muhammad Sadiq), Maryam (as) is described as having her menses and then immediately seeing an Angel who told her that she was going to have a son (They called it a vision, this is anti-Quran, see 19:17)). The author then indirectly quoted 3:36 and argued that Maryam (as) was partially a man (astagfarullah). This is similar to what MGA wrote in 1908 (See Chashma-e-Marifat). The Ahmadi author of this article continues to argue that even the mother of Maryam didn’t think that Maryam (as) was fully a woman. Ahmadi’s seem to have taken it further and alleged that Maryam (as) got pregnant during her menses or right after. Ahmadi’s also allege that Maryam’s mother kept praying for her. Ahmadi’s allege that Maryam (as) had sperm and eggs in her body. They wrote:
“””So just like men experience nocturnal ejaculations due to certain wet dreams and because excitement of the youth causes a lustful state as during intercourse, so in your (Maryam’s) masculine reproductive powers some sperm secretion took place, and this overwhelmed your mind and in this condition the sperm swam towards the egg and fertilized, and you became pregnant according to the above which is acceptable.”””
It seems that the District Magistrate (of Lahore) asked for money from Maulvi Sanaullah’s as a result of an article in the “Ahl-e-Hadis” magazine of Oct-31, 1913. This seems to be a response to the Qadiani article on the birth of Eisa (As). The grossly obscene Qadiani article appeared in the Al-Badr of Oct-30-1913. Maulvi Sanaullah and his team from his “Ahl-e-Hadis” magazine was forced to pay money as a form of a security. The Al-Badr was also forced to pay 3000 rupees as penalty. Reverend Mr. Howell seems to have also been part of this and he was warned by District Magistrate (of Lahore) and the Bishop of Lahore. Mufti Muhammad Sadiq was mentioned too and let off with a warning.

“””Hazrat Maryam was in her mother’s womb, at that time, it was a tradition that people would dedicate their children to the service and worship of God’s House (Bait al-Maqdis). Her mother wanted her to be free from worldly associations and made a vow for the service and worship of God. Then she at the completion of her pregnancy gave birth to a daughter, At that time, her mother was confused that how a man’s duty would be performed by a woman. But the fulfillment of the vow was necessary. In her supplications she expressed this helplessness and then named her daughter Maryam and placed her in the service and protection of God. And prayed that this girl and her offspring would be protected from Satan’s deception and would be in the protection of God. And so, Maryam was placed with Hazrat Zakariya (peace be upon him) to be her guardian and he took care of Maryam. Then during puberty one day Maryam had the need for cleansing and in the eastern part of her house she put up a curtain and started to take a shower and at that time God’s angel appeared in the form of a young man. Out of innocence she was in fear and assuming he was a man invoked the protection of God. Then the Angel informed her that he was a messenger from her God and that he was there to inform her of the birth of her child. Hearing this Maryam became more anxious and in shock said how was that possible as no man had ever touched her so how would she have a child. The Angel then said that it was the Commandment of God. This child will be a sign of God’s perfect authority and a mercy for those who believe. Accordingly, Maryam became pregnant, and at the completion of the pregnancy Hazrat Issa AS was born. This story has two parts, one is related to the birth of Maryam, and the other is the birth of Jesus Christ. And both of their events are described in this manner that they fully support our opinion, but since we have not yet fully expressed any opinion on the birth of Hazrat Issa, but only described the strange manner of the creation of Hazrat Maryam. Therefore, first regarding Maryam pondering over the Quran we found out that the wife of Imran meaning the mother of Maryam had the expectation of giving birth to a male child and with this trust vowed the child prior to pregnancy. Then a Girl was born. However she (mother of Maryam) remained constant in her ن ۡ ُ َالا ُ ك َر َّك الذ َ َۡیس ل ۚ ,said girl a seeing after still and decision ۡث ىٰ in her own words, even so the newborn was dedicated to the service of God. We say that these details are proof that the mother of Maryam even after giving birth to a girl must have noticed some strange / unique physical structure in her daughter, and she was satisfied and dedicated a woman for a man’s duty and vowed her child.
At the time of dedicating she said; ا ربَ انِ ِّ ّ ذََـك ِۡى نَط َ َ م َۡر ُت لwhich ِنۡى ُم َح َّر ًر ۡ ا ِفۡى ب means that this child will not have anything to do with the quarrels and danger of the world. Because those living a celibate life are completely freed from marriage and family relationships. Maryam was also going to experience these trials ahead in life. Her mother prayed for her salvation when she dedicated Maryam in the path of God, that God keeps her and her offspring under His protection. So, if the mother Maryam did not see anything strange in Maryam, then why did she pray for this? Because of this reason, Maryam had to remain a virgin for the rest of her life, so there was no use in praying for her progeny in such a useless manner. These are the important reasons that compel us to accept this, that at the time of the birth of Hazrat Maryam, some signs must have appeared in Hazrat Maryam, unlike ordinary girls, which made her mother feel the need to pray in such a way that the physical structure of Maryam’s womb was bejeweled with the wonders of the body, and noticing these special features made her mother think in her heart. Causing this prayer to uncontrollably come out of her mouth. But there is a special point to be considered in this place that is, this incident is mentioned in the Holy Qur’an in this manner: و َّما َ
ؕ this is an eloquent indication, and our
words / opinion are completely supported because the words وضَ تَ
ۡ َع
are ا ِ َمب ؕ
calling out and saying that only God knows that the wife of Imran gave birth
to a girl with high status and honor. And it is obvious that Maryam’s honor
and status is only for the good reason of being the mother of Christ, so we
fearlessly say that in these words God points to this strange physical
structure of Hazrat Maryam and said; what I have mentioned above; and in
the same light the verse جَ وَ لَ
ع
َا اۡب َن م ۡ
ٗ َّھ ُما َو َ َم ۡ ی َر ن
ا ۤ
َة ٰ
ی ً also celebrates the special characteristic of the creation of Hazrat Maryam, because apart from this manifestation of power, Maryam did not have any noble deeds compared to other women. And without such characteristics, she could not have been considered as a Saintly / Godly person. Medical and Quranic testimony prove that Hazrat Maryam’s bodily structure was universally strange and that within her were both sperm (masculine) and eggs (feminine) reproductive powers. We understand Christ’s being conceived in this manner that when Maryam had reached her apex of puberty and due to menstruation, she needed monthly bathing, she (Maryam) would sit in the corner of the house and bath. So just like men
experience nocturnal ejaculations due to certain wet dreams and because excitement of the youth causes a lustful state as during intercourse, so in your (Maryam’s) masculine reproductive powers some sperm secretion took place, and this overwhelmed your mind and in this condition the sperm swam towards the egg and fertilized, and you became pregnant according to the above which is acceptable.
ذ
Hazrat Maryam was definitely a guided person who was living a pious and pure life however you were not spared the second characteristic and after experiencing menstruation she needed to bath to cleanse which was a mandatory requirement. It is also worth noting that, just as every human being, at the time of puberty, thinks and investigates this conditions that appear and arise when the mind grows up. In the same way, Hazrat Maryam must have asked her elders and older women about this new thing that has appeared automatically, and we have to believe in conclusion that regarding her monthly menstruation she had to mention this to someone as she would not stay in the masjid rather, she would stay at home to pass the time. Just as the incident during bathing took place. Therefore, we should believe that during meeting family and friends you (Maryam) heard the mentioning of the relationships between a man and woman in good detail according to the rules; a person has no choice but to listen to such stories and traditions in early youth as is mentioned by Shaikh Saadi and is redemption. Because of this your (Maryam) ears were very familiar with this type of talk this is why when you would sit in solitude and you would have looked at the bodily organs at times, the excitement of youth would have overwhelmed your mind by envisioning concepts of sexual intercourse. And something like that is not even a negative sin. Because this is not the meaning of patience and excellence, that the natural desires should not arise in the heart of man, but the name of patience and excellence is the name of overcoming these desires, and this excellence is the definition of a patient person or else like Angels this wish would not exist in humans. So, there was no reason to be distinguished from ordinary people. As far as we are concerned, we have written about this issue in detail. And if justice is done then now there is no room for argument. But what is strange is that our Muslim brothers will make an objection against this article as they believe in the Miraculous Birth of Hazrat Issa AS.”””
