Intro
He published it in 1917, it was the first ever extensive commentary of the Quran in English. It was sold globally from the Woking Mosque in the UK (Shah Jahan Mosque). This commentary was used in the USA and led African-American’s astray, they specifically used Muhammad Ali’s explanation of the “blue-eyed-devil” to develop their hate vs. White people.

In 1920, it was reprinted. We aren’t sure how many things were edited. This 1920 edition seems to be the one that was used extensively in the USA by Elijah Muhammad and many others.

In 1936, the Redlands Daily Facts Newspaper (of Wed, Feb 05, 1936 Page 2) reports that an English Translation of the Quran could be found at the A.K. Smiley public library in Redlands, California.
