Intro
Mirza Ghulam Ahmad and his father (Mirza Ghulam Murtaza) were mentioned in a book by Munshi Muhammad Abdullah entitled, “Shahadat-e-Qurani ala Kizb e Krishna Qadiani”. Munshi Muhammad Abdullah was a Shia scholar of Lahore and roughly the same age as MGA.

Munshi Muhammad Abdullah was told by a Maulvi of Gujrat who knew Mirza Ghulam Murtaza
about an incident which must have happened around 1870 wherein Mirza Ghulam Murtaza thought that was about to die via some illness. Mirza Ghulam Murtaza began writing letters to his friends asking them to come and see him, it might be the last time. This Maulvi of Gujrat arrived in Qadian with a semi-doctor and began talking to Mirza Ghulam Murtaza who showed signs of immobility. In this situation, there was no one to see after the guests. The Maulvi of Gujrat and his doctor friend then asked about the sons of Mirza Ghulam Murtaza, he replied that he sent Mirza Ghulam Qadir to complete a task and Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was outside and roaming around somewhere.

MIRZA GHULAM MURTAZA SAYS HE SWEAR ON GOD HIS SON WOULD NOT MEND HIS WAYS TILL QAYAMAH. BOOK SHAHADAT E QURAANI ALA KIZB E KRISHNA QADIANI. BY MUNSHI MUHAMMAD ABDULLAH.

Munshi Abdullah was a shia scholar of Lahore. He was a contemporary to Mirza Ghulam Qadiani. In his book shahadat e Quraani ala kizb e krishna Qadiani at page no. 5, he writes :

“A molvi sahib who was a resident of Gujrat, once told me that Mirza Ghulam Murtaza, the father of Mirza Ghulam Qadiani once fell ill. He was a righteous person he wrote letters to his friends inviting them to see him for the last time. Those who reached Kadian, were one of his friends who was a Hakeem and myself. He was in a bad condition that he could not move from one side to the other on his bed. He got worried to see us and said as to how will he entertain us as he was ill. We asked about Mirza Ghulam Qadir (his elder son), he told that he has sent him somewhere for a task. Then we asked about Mirza Ghulam Ahmad if he was around ? He took a sorrowful sigh and said he does not even come to enquire of my health how can he come to entertain you. He would be roaming astray somewhere. We said you don,t have to worry about that. We spent few days there and did not find Mirza Ghulam coming to see his father while Mirza Ghulam Murtaza got well by the treatment of Hakeem. After some time we met at the house of Deputy Qaim Ali sahib, after salutation, I asked about Mirza Gulam Qadiani and said now when he is debating with hindu and christians, he would have surely mend his ways. What he replied was worth writing in the golden ink. He said I swear by god he will not mend his ways till Qayamah what to talk of his character.”
