In 1893, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad said that the soul (ruh) of Eisa (As) wanted to return to the Dunya and did so via Mirza Ghulam Ahmad in a weird way

Intro
In 1893, via A‘ina-e-Kamalat-e-Islam (See also Tadhkirah, Online English edition, pages 273-274 and Essence of Islam-3), Mirza Ghulam Ahmad told the world that he saw a Kashf wherein the soul (ruh) of Jesus knew of his being worshipped and requested Allah to have his soul descend in his likeliness. Then it somehow fused into MGA in a strange way (See pages 341, 345-346 of A‘ina-e-Kamalat-e-Islam).

Another ironic point is that in terms of 5:116 (5:117 in the Kadiani Koran), Qadiani’s argue that Eisa (as) died and thus doesn’t know that his people went astray.

In another similar story, in 1902, MGA alleged that the ruh of Muhammad (Saw) spoke about returning to Earth (naozobillah).

The different sects of Moorish Science Temple (MST) from 1929-1935

Intro
After a huge shootout (the newspapers described this as one of the most dramatic battles in Chicago Police History and made the front-page news of the Chicago Tribune. In fact, more than 100 shots were exchanged) with the Chicago Police in Sep-1929, the Moorish Science Temple (MST) broke into many competing factions. We have collected 11 factions, sects and groups. These are also technically sects of Qadianism.

—Abdul Mohammed (See Beynon and Hatim), previously a member of the Moorish Science Temple and named Brown El. Real last name was Brown, first name is unknown. And previously under Wallace Farad.

–Charles Kirkman Bey, in 1931, Kirkman Bey took Mealy El to court to try to gain legal leadership over the denomination, but lost each time. On May 7, 1931, Judge Eberhart ruled in his favor in the case of C. Kirkman vs. E. Mealy El. In response, Kirkman Bey created his own organization, called the “Moorish Science Temple of America, Inc,” taking most of the Moors with him.

–Mealy El, He first appears in the official newspaper (The Moorish Guide) of the Moorish Science Temple (MST) in 1927, while Noble Drew Ali was still alive and well. Mealy El was in-charge of the Chicago Temple of the MST while Noble Drew Ali toured. After 1930, with the support of several temples each, both Mealy El and Givens El went on to lead independent factions of the Moorish Science Temple. All three factions—formed and led by Kirkman Bey, Mealy El, and Givens El—are active today.

John Givens El, He was Noble Drew Ali’s chauffeur, In 1929, when Drew Ali died, he declared that he was Drew Ali reincarnated (Excerpt from “MUQARRABEEN FILES VOL 1” by Brother R. Edwards-El, A.S.D.M., Author Brother J. Barnes-Bey, Co-Author). He was said to have fainted while working on Drew Ali’s automobile, and “the sign of the star and crescent [appeared] in his eyes.” John Givens-El also was apprehended after he forced his way into Attorney Payne’s home in search of Drew Ali’s papers. At the September Unity Conference, Givens again made his claim of reincarnation. However, the governors of the Moorish Science Temple of America declared Charles Kirkman Bey to be Drew Ali’s successor and named him Grand Advisor.

—Azzim Shah (See Hatim).

—A Haitian, Theodore Rozier, assistant minister (See Hatim, page 11).

—Ugan Ali, arrested in 1932 (See the Detroit Free Press, Detroit, Michigan • Page 1, 3). Was never seen of or heard of again. Robert Harris was under his stead.

—Othman Ali (was allegedly teaching moorish ideas, see Hatim).

—Allah Shah, in 1935, and the “Allah Temple of Islam” on 3743 South State St. Chicago, ill.

–Wallace Farad, seems to have showed in 1929 and began engaging former members of Moorish Science Temple (MST)

–Qadiani-Ahmadi Maulvi, Muhammad Yusuf Khan converted many former members of the Moorish Science Temple (MST)

Did Ibn Arabi believe Isa (As) to be a half human and half an angelic spirit, different from the four types of creations: 1) Adam 2) Eve 3) Bani Adam 4) Jesus (half spirit of Gabriel and half son of Mary)

Intro
After learning from Ibn ‘Arabî that the constitution of Jesus’s body and the breathing of the spirit into him happened at the same time, let us stop with him at this “same time”, andsearch the texts of Ibn ‘Arabî to see how he explains the creation of Jesus, and what is, for him, the reality of the body of Jesus.

In the Fusûs al-Hikam, [11] he says that the Spirit, the Trustworthy One, Gabriel appeared to Mary (Maryam) as a (complete) man, and told her that he was a messenger sent from her Lord to bestow on her a faultless son, then he blew Jesus into her. [12] Therefore, Gabriel was the carrier of God’s word to Mary, just as a messenger carries God’s word to his people, and Jesus was created from the concrete waters of Mary, and from the imaginary waters of Gabriel. [13] So he emerged with the form of a human because his mother was human, and because Gabriel took the form of a human, and therefore the constitution in this human type happens according to the norm.

In the Futûhât al-Makkîya, Ibn ‘Arabî says that Jesus sprang from a “spiritual male”, an angel in the form of a human, which was Gabriel. Therefore Jesus combined the human image and the spirit, and his creation was perfect: externally a human and internally an angel. [14] In another passage, Ibn ‘Arabî says: “Jesus is half human and half spirit”. [15]

This special relation between Gabriel and Jesus, which is like the relation between father and son, causes Ibn ‘Arabî to state that Jesus came into the world of man in the image of Gabriel, and in one event the human [Jesus] joined the spirit and the spirit [Gabriel] joined the human form, and this is the abode of perfection (manzil al-kamâl). [16] Therefore, Jesus is in the image of Gabriel. This means that Jesus’s life is no other than his essence, i.e. that his spirit is his essence; he is not a creature possessing a spirit, he is spirit. He is spirit manifesting in the immutable image of the human being, just as Gabriel appeared to the Prophet and his companions in the mutable and temporary image of an Arab. [17]

This means that Jesus is not like other men, according to Ibn ‘Arabî, since they are composed of two bodies: a dark, dense body and a light one, which is carried within the dense one and is its spirit, like a vapour emanating from the cavities of the heart and spreading to the rest of the body. [18] Ibn ‘Arabî intimates that Jesus’s form is imaginary, [19] or that his form is an incarnation of his spirit. Jesus “is closer to being a form (jasad) than a body (jism). His case is thus like that of the angelic and fiery spirits who take form and become visible to the eye, so that the eyes see these bodies, while he [i.e. each individual spirit] remains in himself a spirit”. [20]

The Moorish Science Temple in Pittsburgh in 1928

Intro
T. Crumbey Bey was the local head of the Moorish Temple at 1709 Arcena St, Pittsburgh, PA. The local police allege that T. Crumbey Bey was offering Negroes wives for $10. A woman named Nina Crumbey of Blythesdale told the police that T. Crumbey Bey had 3 wives, including herself. T. Crumbey Bey told the police that he was advised from the headquarters of the Moorish Science Temple in Chicago, that he could have as many wives as he liked.

Who is Brother Abdul Mohammed?

Intro
In 1938, Beynon told us that Abdul Mohammed was one of the first officers under Mr. W. D. Fard in roughly the spring of 1931 (See Lincoln, pages 15-16). However, by 1932, Abdul Mohammed was totally against Mr. W. D. Fard and had re-organized a small Moorish faction of his own in which the cardinal principle was loyalty to the Constitution of the United States and to its flag. He was never heard of after 1932.

In 1950-1951 (see Hatim), per Elijah Mohammed, father (Willie Poole) told us that he received some information and teachings from his friend Brother Abdul Mohammed in 1931, who told him that Mr. W. D. Fard has taught him and gave him that name after he was known by his slave name Brown. Brown himself was previously connected with the Moorish-American movement started by Noble Drew Ali. Abdul Mohammed joined the movement under the name Brown El.
Abdul Mohammed told my father what Mr. W. D. Fard was teaching, and my father told me. When I heard it I told my father, “I like to hear that man.” I said, “That is good what Abdul
Mohammed told you.” That was in the spring of 1931. I asked my father about Abdul Mohammed and he told me where that man lives, and therefore we went, my brother and I, to find Abdul Mohammed. We had visited Abdul Mohammed in his house, me and my older brother, for several weeks and he was telling us what he had been taught. Then we visited the place where Mr. W. D. Fard was teaching; it was a basement. I was not able to get into the basement because it was so crowded that I had no way to get in, but I heard him he was speaking on Hastings Street, around 3408 Hastings, and I was not able to hear him well here too because it was so crowded, thousands of people listening to him.

I was myself the third minister he had chosen. Before me were two whom he did not like; one was Abdul Mohammed and the other, Othman Ali. He did not like them because they were following the Moorish [teachings of the Moorish Science Temple of America – Ed.]. More than that they were trying to get the teachings and use them to their own benefit. That is why Abdul became a great enemy to us and he began to teach against Mr. Fard. Before I became a minister I used to listen to Abdul Mohammed while he was talking and then I used to go to Mr. Fard myself, telling him that I did not like the way they were carrying on; and that if! had to teach I will teach the people with you. “Then,” he said, “well, then you come over with me.”

The first opposition the movement met in Detroit was that of Abdul Mohammed, who was the first minister of W. D. Fard. He began to teach against W. D. Fard in order to preside over the group himself. Since the disappearance of W. D. Fard many NOI branches have sprung up. In 1936 one of the ministers of the movement, Azzim Shah, organized an independent group. A Haitian, Theodore Rozier, another assistant minister at the time of W. D. Fard, had organized his own group in 1938. All of these groups stayed within the same frame of teachings, although there were personal conflicts among the leaders ofthese groups. Apparently the split is mostly an expression of craving for prestige and leadership among the ministers.

However, in the arrests of 1932 (Ugan Ali and Wallace Farad), he is not mentioned at all. Nor is he ever mentioned thereafter.

In 1961, via Lincoln (see page 13), some followers of Noble Drew Ali and thus members of the Moorish Science Temple began to accept the teachings of Wallace Farad.

Abdul Ghaffar Janba claims to be the second coming of Muhammad (saw)(naozobillah), the same way that MGA did

Intro
There is a video floating around in whatsapp groups wherein Abdul Ghaffar Janba claims to be the second coming of Muhammad (saw)(naozobillah), the same way that MGA did (See the clip on Tiktok and Twitter). In fact, he even dared to call himself as greater (Akmal) than Muhammad (saw)(naozobillah), just like MGA did in 1906 via that strange poem by Qazi Muhammad Zahuruddin Akmal wherein he calls MGA as greater than Muhammad (saw)(Naozobillah), it was published in the Ahmadiyya newspaper Al-Badr (See the 1974 NA proceedings page 785 (pdf page 410) and the Al-Badr of Oct. 25th, 1906.

Who is Claude Green?

Intro
Claude Green (allegedly a graduate of Tuskeegee) was a former member of the Moorish Science Temple who was killed on Thursday night, March-21-1929 (See New Pittsburgh Courier of Sat, Mar 23, 1929 ·Page 10). He had recently quit the Moorish Science Temple and was working as the President of “The Chicago Boosters Civic Club”. He worked previously as the business manager of Chicago Temple No. 1, underneath the Prophet Drew Ali. Also as the “international treasurer of the cult” (See “Herald and Review” of Fri, Sep 27, 1929 ·Page 1).

The New Pittsburgh Courier reports that Claude Green had exposed Drew Ali of extra marital affairs with 3 women. The three women were Mary Lou (14), Christina (16) and Pearl (somewhere in her 20’s). It seems that Mary Lou married Prophet Drew Ali when she was just 12 years old (roughly 1927). Pearl seems to have also been married to the Prophet Drew Ali in 1927. Thus, in 1927, Prophet Drew Ali had at least 2 wives. In 1928-1929, Mary Lou became pregnant from the Prophet Drew Ali and the newspaper reported that she had no idea of any marriage paperwork, thus, she had been duped. The newspaper then says that Prophet Drew Ali was guilty of statutory rape. The 3rd woman, Christina, 16, admitted that she had worked as his secretary, but protested that there had been nothing wrong in their relationship. She lived with Mary Lou, and slept with her, except when the prophet was around. Pearl, it has, been hinted, was taken away from the prophet, although at one time he is said to have lived in a two-flat building, with Mary Lou in one flat and Pearl in the other (See New Pittsburgh Courier of Sat, Mar 23, 1929 ·Page 10).

Green’s murder was one of the most atrocious ever committed on the Southside. He was shot three times and stabbed in various parts of his body, one plunge of the knife partly disemboweling him. The slaying took place at the Unity clubhouse, 3140 Indiana avenue, of which Green was” custodian. The clubhouse owned by interests associated with Samuel Insull, the utilities magnate. Shortly before 8:00 o’clock, persons in the building startled by three shots on the second floor of the building (See New Pittsburgh Courier of Sat, Mar 23, 1929 ·Page 10).

Clarke Ellis and Arthur Scott went to investigate and found Green lying in the hallway with his legs, up to the knee, under him. He was bleeding freely from the neck. A few minutes prior to the shooting, Green had come out of his office on the first floor and asked several men, alleged members of the Moorish Science Temple, which held its meetings in the building, to come out of the hall into his office so that they would not become confused with guests who would soon be coming to a dance that was to be held in the basement. Sam Jackson, one of the men in the ball at the time, stated at the coroner’s inquest, presided over by Deputy E. M (See New Pittsburgh Courier of Sat, Mar 23, 1929 ·Page 10).

Sam Jackson was one of the men who left the room, Scott declared. Mrs. Claude Green, the dead man’s wife, pointed out Noble Drew Ali from among the suspects gathered whom by she the police believed as one had of the men something to do with the murder of her husband. She testified that he had told her somewhat indirectly of trouble he expected from certain members of the Moorish Temple. Green is said to have resigned from the cult after there was some misunderstanding regarding the collection of moneys from the chaptors throughout the country.

But opinion was divided as the coroner’s inquest continued as to whether a motive for the murder might be found in this disagreement or the alleged association of Green with the prophet’s wife, Pearl. The prophet’s true name is Timothy Drew. In 1915 he was accompanying a Hindu fakir in circus when he decided to start a little order of his own. The first temple was set up in Norfolk, Va:, but the exactions of the law were such there that it was necessary to move and he went to Newark, N. J.

New Jersey law soon found the affairs of the order entangled and it was decided to come west. The first temple in Chicago was set up in 1925. Here the organization has prospered, numbering 2,100 persons in its membership. With Chicago as a headquarters, a score of temples have been set up throughout the country. In Detroit Wednesday, two patrolmen and two members of the Moorish Science Temple were shot in the lodge room in a gun battle of after a dispute over the leadership men the order.

what Five hundred policequelled they thought was going to be a riot. Green, the murdered man, would have been 46 years old Friday. He Was a graduate of Tuskegee. His wife testified that he left $3,000 in life insurance, but that he had no bank account, stocks or bonds, and no real estate. She was represented the inquest by Attorney George Blackwell.

Lou Deputy Cleaves ordered that Mary and her mother, and Christina, be held pending the outcome of the inquest_ which was continued until March 29.

Who is David Ford-El?

Intro
In 1942, via FBI reports (63/125), and via a memo by the Michigan State Police, W.D. Fard’s alias was Davis-El (living at 9136 Oakland Ave) and he was previously a “grand sheikh” of the Moorish Science Temple and was allegedly from Kansas City or Chicago. However, the name of the FBI agents are unknown, as well as the informants. Even the report itself confirms that this information was not verified (Fanusie said the same).

In the 1945 edition of Arna Bontemps and Jack Conroy titled “They Seek A City” (see pages 177-183). Beynon was indirectly quoted and his testimony was thus given, this is how Wallace Farad was connected to Noble Drew Ali. There is no other testimony. However, in the 1966 edition of the same book, on page 217, it is alleged that Wallace Farad “must have been a follower of Noble Drew Ali. David Ford-El is not mentioned in either edition. In 1962, after the FBI made public allegations vs. Wallace Farad, E. U. Essien-Udom wrote about that Wallace Farad and also connected him to Noble Drew Ali in his 1962 book “Black Nationalism: The Search for an Identity”. E. U. Essien-Udom)(See also John Morrow, “Finding W.D. Fard”, page 188). Nevertheless, David Ford-El was not mentioned at all. Thus proving that it was false report which was given to the FBI.

In 1999, Karl Evanzz published his famous “The Messenger: The Rise and Fall of Elijah Muhammad”. In this book, Karl Evanzz quoted the FBI file on Wallace d. Farad (and “Anyplace but Here”, page 222-23). However, Dr. John Morrow wrote on page 190 of his book that it is not a reasonable assertion and quoted Bowen as saying it is a completely unsupported tradition.

In the late 1990’s, Karl Evanzz’s got unprecedented access to FBI records dealing with Fard Muhammad, Elijah Muhammad and the Nation of Islam. This provided an important advance in our understanding of the development of the organization. In “The Messenger”, Evanzz makes a strong case for an identity of Fard Muhammad based solely on FBI records, which prevents him from investigating an Islamic identity for Fard, despite his own conclusions regarding Fard’s background and suspected Muslim parentage. Instead, Evanzz relies wholly upon the FBI files to argue conclusively that Fard Muhammad was exactly who the FBI hinted he was: a criminal, con-artist from New Zealand of Indian and European parentage looking to make a lucrative profit from impoverished African Americans during the depression era (via Fanusie, page 23).

After Noble Drew Ali died, 7-20-25. David Ford El claimed that Drew Ali had left him in-charge and declared himself the “reincarnation of Noble Drew Ali” on July 29 (See “The Messenger”, Evanzz, author’s interviews; CIA report on the NOI; also see Bontemps, “Anyplace but Here”, page 222-23). Ahlstrom (p. 1067), Abu Shouk (p. 147), Hamm (p. 14), and Lippy (p. 214) all state that Fard claimed to be, or was considered by many Moors to be, the reincarnation of Drew Ali.

Bowen pointed out how many high-ranking members of the MSTA cult were mentioned in newspapers of 1929, however, David Ford-El was never mentioned. A man named Charles Kirkman was mentioned and how he was kidnapped and how he claimed to be the “Grand Vizier Bey”. The Chicago Tribune of Thu, Sep 26, 1929 ·Page 46 tells us that Jackson Bey and A. Williamson El were in a gun battle over control of the MSTA. A man named Ria Johnson-El had killed a police officer (William Gallagher) in Sep-1929 and confessed to it in the same gun battle. All 3 were under arrest.

In March-1929, (See New Pittsburgh Courier of Sat, Mar 23, 1929 ·Page 10), the murder of Claude Green is mentioned as well as the fact that he was the former supreme business manager of the Moorish Science Temple and was currently working as the President of the “Chicago Boosters’ Civic Club”. The newspaper reports that Claude Green had exposed Drew Ali of extra marital affairs with 3 women. Noble Drew Ali died just 4 months later on July 20-1929.

In Oct-1929, (Via New Pittsburgh Courier of Sat, Oct 05, 1929 ·Page 20), Charles Kirkman is mentioned. As well as J. Stevenson (who died while hiding in a closet), Moe Jackson was wounded. Policeman William Gallagher is dead. Charles Kirkman lives at 442 West Elm St, Chicago.

Who is Charles Kirkman Bey (dead in 1959)?

Intro
On Sep-28, 1929, he was reported as kidnapped by 4 men from his home at 442 West Elm Street, Chicago, by his wife, Mrs. Peasle Kirkman (See the Chicago Tribune of Thu, Sep 26, 1929 ·Page 46). Mrs. Peasle Kirkman then led Sergt. John O’Toole and his squad to the headquarters of the cult at 3603 Indiana Avenue, Chicago. They then went to 1102 Townsend Street, where they found Jackson and Joseph Williamson, both cultists. Jackson and Joseph Williamson told the police where Charles Kirkman Bey was being held. The same newspaper alleges that the headquarters of the cult is at 4139 South Park Way, Chicago.

Mealy El was present at the Second Annual National Convention of the Moorish Science Temple of America, or “Unity Conference,” in September 1929. As the end of the convention neared, hours were spent discussing the Prophet’s intentions. Around this time, John Givens El entered the chamber and sat himself on the Prophet’s empty seat. He announced:

“”I am back. I am the Prophet Noble Drew Ali, reincarnated, and Prophet Noble Drew Ali, the founder. We two are one in [sic] the same””.

A silence fell over the convention chamber. Despite this, the convention delegates did not vote for Givens El to lead the Moorish Science Temple of America. With two-thirds of the votes, the grand sheikhs elected Mealy El as the first Supreme Grand Sheikh and C. Kirkman Bey as his Grand Advisor (See Gardell, Mattias (1996). In the Name of Elijah MuhammadDuke University Press. p. 45. ISBN 978-0-8223-1845-3.)(See also McCloud, Aminah (1994). African American Islam. Routledge. p. 18). Ultimately, the election was not accepted by all members, and both Givens El and Kirkman Bey went on to lead their own factions of the Moorish Science Temple.

Ria Johnson El was there too.

In 1931, Kirkman Bey took Mealy El to court to try to gain legal leadership over the denomination, but lost each time. On May 7, 1931, Judge Eberhart ruled in his favor in the case of C. Kirkman vs. E. Mealy El. In response, Kirkman Bey created his own organization, called the “Moorish Science Temple of America, Inc,” taking most of the Moors with him.

In 1943, in Richmond, Virginia, F. Nelson Bey was working as the “head-man” of the Moorish cult.

Charles Kirkman Bey died in 1959.
