It seems that before the pandemic (based on the lack of face masks), Mirza Masroor Ahmad was asked about the possibility of prophethood after MGA.
The questioner says that NO prophets can come after the Promised Messiah (MGA). Mirza Masroor Ahmad disagrees and says it’s wide open, a prophet can come, however, he doesn’t know the details. Mirza Masroor Ahmad mentioned 4:69 (4:70 in the Kadiani Koran) as evidence that prophets can come. Mirza Masroor Ahmas says that the rank of a Khalifa is higher than a mujadid.
The questioner than says that Mirza Masroor Ahmad called MGA as the “Khatamul Khulafa” earlier, to which Mirza Masroor Ahmad responds with, well, I didn’t say Khatamul Anbiya. MIrza Masroor Ahmad says that Muhammad (Saw) is the Khatamul Anbiya. Mirza Masroor Ahmad says that if a prophet comes, he will be under MGA and will accept MGA as a Nabi and as “Khatamul Khulafa”.
