Mirza Ghulam Ahmad vs. Rasheed Gangohi

Intro
In the early summer of 1891, after MGA made his wild claims of being the Messiah, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad challenged Rasheed Ahmad Gangohi to a debate. Pir Sirajul-Haqq Nu‘mani was a toilet attendant of MGA and was the brother-in-law of Maulvi Rasheed Ahmad Gangohi (See Mujadid e Azim, abridged English version, pages 774 and 306-312) and came from a family of Pirs, he even tried to arrange a written debate between MGA and Gangohi, but MGA would not do an oral debate (See Tadhkirah Tul Mahdi, 1915).

In 1900, via Arbain, MGA mentioned Ganoghi three times and kept challenging him.

In 1905 (Sep), Mirza Ghulam Ahmad alleged that Rasheed Ahmad Gangohi died on Aug-11-1905 simply for opposing MGA (See the Al-Badr, vol. 1, no. 24, p. 2, dated 14 September 1905; al-Hakam, vol. 9, no. 33, p. 5, dated 17 September 1905, via Malfuzat-7, online English edition, pages 339-342).

In 1906-1907, via Haqiqatul Wahi, online English edition, page 291, MGA alleged that the death of Maulawi Rasheed Ahmad Gangohi was a divine sign.

In 1908 (Oct), after MGA died and BA-5 was published, an entire chapter was dedicated to Maulawi Rasheed Ahmad Gangohi.

In 1909, MGA wrote, “”similarly, Maulawī Rasheed Ahmad Gangohi stood up and published an announcement against me in which he cursed the liar; he went blind after a few days”” (See “Nuzul ul Maseeh, page 34, 196 and 207).

Delhi Debate

The Delhi Debate took place between MGA and Maulvi Muhammad Bashir Bhopali in October 1891. After the debate, MGA addressed Rashid Ahmad Gangohi, Maulvi Sayed Nazir Hussain, and Maulvi Abdul Haq and in fact he issued a poster on 2nd October 1891. He was then in Delhi. In this poster he made mention of his beliefs and stated his claim along with the assertion that Jesus^(as) had died a natural death. He called upon Maulvi Sayed Nazir Hussain and Maulvi Abdul Haq (both of them Maulvis of the top rank) to get the issues clarified. The proposal did not materialise in the real sense of the word. Of course, one Maulvi Muhammad Bashir came forward for a debate on the life or death of Jesus^(as).

Seventy-Second Sign—Some bitter enemies, who by way of mubahalah had pronounced لعْنَةُ الّٰلِ عَلی اْلكٰذِِبيْنَ [‘The curse of Allah be upon the liars’], died as divine chastisement overtook them; for example, Maulawi Rashid Ahmad Gangohi first became blind and then died of a snake bite. Some died after becoming insane; for example, Maulawi Shah Din of Ludhiana. Maulawi ‘Abdul-‘Aziz, Maulawi Muhammad and Maulawi ‘Abdullah of Lodhana—who were my worst enemies—all three passed away. Similarly ‘Abdur-Rahman Muhy-ud- Din of Lakhukay, after his own revelation that the chastisement of God would descend upon the one who is the liar, passed away.
