Mirza Masroor Ahmad slept a lot in his youth and was a terrible student

Intro
In a recent video (Nov-2025), Mirza Masroor Ahmad confessed that he was always oversleeping as a pre-teen and didn’t care about his studies (See the clip on TikTok and Twitter). He also gave other details about his youth, key details which allow someone to understand how he was groomed to a CEO. In this video, Mirza Masroor Ahmad tells the world that the sitting Khalifa (he was the 2nd Qadiani-Ahmadi Khalifa), his grandfather, Mirza Basheer uddin Mahmud Ahmad was sick and bedridden (from roughly 1956 to 1965 when he died) would give him advice. In reality, he had gone mad and was relieved of his duties and his eldest son, Mirza Nasir Ahmad was running the community. Mirza Masroor Ahmad says that after his father would complain about Mirza Masroor Ahmad oversleeping, Mirza Nasir Ahmad would advise him to get his full sleep, then go for studies and try hard. They said this is like a loving way, however, Mirza Masroor Ahmad was simply lazy by nature and never tried hard at anything.

Mirza Masroor Ahmad then tells a story from roughly May-Sep-1974, when Ahmadi’s were declared non-Muslim and the lead up. Mirza Masroor Ahmad doesn’t give a date, however, he alleges that Ahmadi students had been told to evacuate under the threat of violence from the public at Agriculture University Faisalabad, Pakistan by the Vice Chancellor. Nevertheless, Mirza Nasir Ahmad ordered him to go to his University with some Ahmadi boys (2 boys as security?) and keep attending classes. Mirza Masroor Ahmad’s father (Mirza Mansoor Ahmad) told him that this wasn’t wise, Mirza Masroor Ahmad retorted that he didn’t care, he had been ordered and was thus going to carry it out. Mirza Masroor Ahmad relates that he remained untouched, however, the 2 Ahmadi’s who were with them were beat up thoroughly by Muslims (see the clip on TikTok and Twitter). The 2 Ahmadi’s were then charged with a crime and put in jail. However, they made bail soon and it was over. Mirza Masroor Ahmad says he went to the University with the intention of meeting with the Vice Chancellor (VC), however, the VC refused. Mirza Masroor Ahmad then left. When did the altercation happen? Mirza Masroor Ahmad then reported back to Mirza Nasir Ahmad and he was happy with Mirza Masroor Ahmad for carrying out his instructions.

In another instance, we have a video of Mirza Masroor Ahmad admitting that he was supposed to fail in matriculation exam in roughly 1965 (when he was 15). Mirza Masroor Ahmad says that he should have failed, specifically his math portion, however, there was disruption in the grading and grace marks were given which propelled Mirza Masroor Ahmad into passing (see the video on tiktok and twitter). This is the reason that Mirza Masroor Ahmad can’t pronounce Arabic properly!
