Intro
1937 was an aggressive year for the Ahmadiyya Movement. In Aug, Fakhr-ud Din Multani and Bashir Ahmad Misri were both attacked in broad day light in Qadian on Saturday, 08-07-1937, around 4:30 pm at the time of Asr prayers. Multani was thus stabbed by a fanatical Ahmadi on the 6th or 7th of August, 1937 and succumbed to his injuries on the 13th of August, 1937.
However, a few months before this, on June-5-1937 (page 6)(See the Al-Fazl), after explaining how some Qadianis may have fought people over religion and etc. Which led to legal cases, then Bashiruddin said that the Jamaat spent money on these cases. So, such people who would argue with some non Ahmadi about Mirza Qadiani and abuse him, then these Qadianis should either break his face when someone insults Mirza Qadiani or else tolerate him with humility (if you have ghairat) and do not talk like that.
In July-1937 (30th), Some Qadiani-Ahmadi Maulvi’s wife wrote a letter to the 2nd Qadiani Khalifa about her husband being overworked! She says that she is tired of living and she knows about the sexual misconduct of the 2nd Qadiani Khalifa and she is not playing any games (See
July-30-1937, Al-Fazl newspaper, page 11).
In July-1937 (10th), the 2nd Qadiani-Ahmadi Khalifa was accused of being Aayash (someone of loose morals who fornicates, drinks and parties (Al Fazl July 10, 1937. Page 6).
In Aug-1937, (See the Al-Fazl of August 15th, 1937, page 5), MGA’s children are being defended, MGA was a very pious person, his children could never be bad. He also talks about ghair-mubain (ahmadi’s who reject the Khilafat). Fakhr ud Din Multani was also mentioned, and the Khalifa was accused of inciting murder. This essay from the Al-Fazl defends the family of MGA and tells the world that they would never do anything bad like sexual assault and rape. MGA even prayed over and over again to make his family pious, thus, they could have never committed these crimes. About a month after this, the Khalifa was facing severe punishments from allah via ailments.
In Sep-1937 (14th), the Al-Fazl alleged that the 2nd Qadiani-Ahmadi Khalifa had pain in his throat, his mother (Nuzrat Jehan) has diarrhea and Mir Mohammad Ismail sb is also sick.
In Dec-1937, the 2nd Qadiani-Ahmadi Khalifa said Ahmadi men could marry Hindu women (See Khutbat-e-Mahmud Ahmad, V-3, page 448, Dec-15-1937).
