Chapter 29:14 of the Quran tells us that Noah (As) lived to roughly 950, (see Tafsir Ibn Kathir and Suyuti also). From the Bible we know that prophet Noah lived 600 years before flood+350 years after flood=950 years. The Quran doesn’t give any exact year but says that he had lived 1000 years (“sanatin”) except 50 years (“aama”) before the flood came. From these two accounts, Muslim exegesises extracted that he had lived 950+ years since he also lived for years after the flood (Ibn Kathir says: he lived 60 more years after the flood).

In Barahin–i-Ahmadiyya Vol. 5, MGA says the same, he asserts that Noah (as) lived on earth for 1000 (see page 140, online english edition). Just 9 years later, in 1917, Muhammad Ali (the Lahori-Ahmadi) officially denied the Quran and Bible and asserted that Nuh (as) didn’t like to 950 and instead, this was the age of his prophethood. Fast forward to 1988, and via Malik Ghulam Farid’s official english commentary of the Quran, he copied Muhammad Ali and used the same exact argument.

MGA claimed to be the second coming of Noah (as) many times. He even claimed that his God had been calling him (MGA) as Noah (As) as early as the Barahin-i-Ahmadiyya in the early 1880’s. Later on, in 1902, MGA’ws wrote “Noah’s Ark” and claimed that his cult was like Noah’s ark. MGA even said that he had more signs that the people of Noah (as), and in a disrespectful way.
