Intro
Ansar Raza never went to any Jamia for 7 years, he was made a Murrabi by Mirza Tahir Ahmad, he was grandfathered in. He seems to be the top Maulvi for Ahmadiyya Movement in Canada. He has a natural scowl on his face and seems to always be angry.
In 1998, Ansar Raza alleges that he came to Canada via asylum. He alleges that his family urged him to apply for asylum to Canada, not the jamaat. He then alleges that he left his wife and kids in Pakistan and left for Canada. He admits that the immigration officer helped him and wrote down that he was a “book-keeper”. He admits that his father-in-law and uncle were already in Canada (Muslims) and he met up with them and they helped each other. Ansar then alleges that after these death’s, his mother and father were granted visa’s. He then contradicts himself and says that his mother and father arrived in Canada before himself (Ansar Raza). He then alleges that he applied for asylum for his mother and father, however, it was rejected, he appealed and it was rejected again. They were then deported back to Pakistan. He alleges that his brother was also already in Canada. They were then told by Ansar Raza to apply for asylum to America. He says they were to USA embassy and were easily given a visa to the USA. Then, they entered the USA and from there entered Canada, which was impossible. They applied for asylum again and suprisingly won the case. He alleges that his mother had converted to Ahmadiyya as early as 1994 (a lie). However, his wife hadn’t converted to Ahmadiyya and she even forcefully told Ansar Raza to stop trying to convince her about Qadianism. Ansar alleges that she finally converted after asking for a sign, the sign was coldness in her body (forehead area). He alleges that his father also converted to Ahmadiyya. It seems that all of these family members converted to Ahmadiyya and got asylum visas for Canada.
In 2003, Ansar Raza alleges that he was part of the staff at the Jamia-Canada when it first opened.
In 2013, Ansar Raza was destroyed by Anwar Sadat, earlier in that year, Raza backed out of a debate with Imam Shehryrar Shaikh. He does a program on “Voice of Islam” radio station in Montreal, Canada every Sunday. On a recent facebook posting he alleged that he converted to Ahmadiyya 42 years ago, 2024-42=1982.
In Oct-2021, Ansar Raza debated Muhammad Shaikh (deviant) and Ansar Raza said that he considers MGA as the “Musadaq Rasul” as mentioned in 3:81 (3:82 in the Kadiani Koran). Starts at 2:26, at 7:03, Ansar Raza says that MGA is the “Musadaq Rasul”. At 4:52, Ansar Raza says that the Quran refers to Eisa (as) also as the “Musadaq Rasul”, via 33:7-8 of the Quran (33:8-9 in the Kadiani Koran).
In 2025, Ansar Raza says that he does represent Ahmadiyya, however, he is a legal employee.
In Aug-2025, Bro Imtiaz approached Ansar Raza about a possible debate. Bro Imtiaz streamed about this too, here and here. Also in Aug-2025, (TikTok and Twitter), Ansar Raza told a Muslim boy that anyone be a prophet in Ahmadiyya via 4:69 (4:70 in the Kadiani Koran). Ansar Raza says that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad should never be questioned about his references to hadith (See the clip on TikTok, facebook and Twitter). Ansar Raza says that prophets don’t finish their mission (2025) 18:10 timestamp.

In Sep-2025, Ansar Raza debated a Shia person, #ShamsuddinShigri seems to be hosting this debate. In his opening statement, Ansar Raza used 1:6, 4:69 and 7:35 as his main arguments that prophethood has not end and never ends. At 19:03, Ansar Raza added 3:81 (3:82 in the Kadiani Koran) and alleged that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad is inferred herein as that “Musadaq-Rasul” (See the clip on Tiktok and Twitter). Again, Ansar Raza says that per 3:81 (3:82 in the Kadiani Koran), a Rasul will come who will authenticate (tasdiq) the Kitab and Rasul which was given to a previous Nabi (Ansar Raza was indirectly referring to MGA). At 21:41, Ansar Raza says it is lazmi (mandatory) that a “Musadaq-Rasul” was to appear after Muhammad (Saw) and it is lazmi (mandatory) for Muslims to accept him (see my article on Ahmadiyya Takfir). In conclusion, Ansar Raza argued that 3:81 (3:82 in the Kadiani Koran) includes Eisa (as) and Mirza Ghulam Ahmad only as the “Musadaq-Rasuls”. However, in reality, Muslims believe that only Muhammad (Saw) is the “Musadaq-Rasul” as mentioned in 3:81 (3:82 in the Kadiani Koran). This is why Muhammad led the Prophets in prayer during the night of Isra’ when they gathered in Bayt Al-Maqdis (Jerusalem)(See Ibn Kathir).
In Oct-2025, a Muslim confronted Ansar Raza on this topic and Ansar Raza refused to answer (see the clip on twitter). In 1944 (the scan has been removed from Ahmadiyya websites), the 2nd Qadiani-Ahmadi Khalifa, Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad was questioning a revelation of MGA from March-1908, wherein MGA was described as “King of the Aryas” (Aryan ka badhshah). The 2nd Qadiani-Ahmadi Khalifa, Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad said if that Indian Muslims separate from Hindu’s and create Pakistan, this would disprove MGA revelation and make MGA “The King of Pakistan” instead. He seems to have been against the creation of Pakistan (See Al-Fazl, June 8-1944).
In Dec-2025, Ansar Raza got frustrated at FreePalestine (@freepalestine20252025 on TikTok) and called him a stupid person, this was after FreePalestine (@freepalestine20252025 on TikTok) pointed out how Ansar Raza keeps interrupting (See on twitter).
Also in Dec-2025, Ansar Raza said that he doesn’t care about the path of the sahaba (companions).
In 2026, Ansar Raza debated a tiktoker named “Khalifa-e-Waqt”. However, this debate was cut short. Ansar Raza argued that in a time of need, when people have went far astray, then, Allah sends a prophet. At 6:00, Ansar Raza says that even now there is a need of a prophet. “Khalifa-e-Waqt” responded by asking for a verse of the Quran to support this argument, however, Ansar Raza never gave one. Ansar Raza argued that even in 2026 there is a need of a prophet, just like there was before. At 6:44, Ansar Raza said whenever there is disorder (fasad) in the land, Allah actuates and sends a prophet. Ansar Raza then reads off of a script wherein a list of reasons why a prophet could be sent are found (we can hear his mouse scrolling). Ansar Raza then reads off another list and gives reasons why prophets come. “Khalifa-e-Waqt” also pointed out that there should be a prophet on ground in 2026 with these standards. “Khalifa-e-Waqt” also pointed out that Allah is not reactionary as such. In 2026 (Feb), Bro Imtiaz sat with Maulvi Razi on a livestream and discussed the possibility of 12 debates with each other and settled on a few topics. However, Bro Imtiaz insisted on quoting Ahmadi murrabi’s like Ansar Raza, Saleem Meer, Hadi Ali Chaudhary, Maulvi Shahid Bhatti [2:55:43 time stamp] and all comments by Murrabi’s on the True Islam UK streams, like Maulvi Raheel Ahmad and Ibrahim Ikhlaf). However, per the conditions of the debate, Ansar Raza strongly insisted on just limiting the conversation to the Qur’an. No other reference for any argument was permissible. But when he himself then used hadith to support his objection to the meaning of thumma, the Muslim pointed out that Ansar Raza had violated the terms he himself had strongly insisted on. That, with the established rules, the Ahmadi side had lost the debate, but he was willing to overlook it, but reserved his right to do likewise and also use references outside the Qur’an to make a point.

The main question they are talking about is whom the words thumma jaakum rasoolun musaddiqun in the verse are referring to.
The Muslim position is that this title is being given to the prophet Muhammad. Which is also in line with 1400 years of Muslim scholarship and understanding of shabas The Ahmadi position is, that it is not referring to a single person but a general rule is being established by this verse. That IF someone is part of the covenant that’s being made with the prophets there has to be NESSECERILY COME ANOTHER PROPHET to affirm the covenant. Since Muhammad is part of the prophets in this part”Allah made a covenant with the prophets”.
For them there has to necessarily come a messenger after Muhammad to affirm that covenant. (Which is obviously MGA for them but he excludes the specific identity and only wants to talk about IF the verse establishes this necessity for another messenger.)
Notable moments and points of contention:
1) Ansar Raza sb keeps insisting that he is ONLY using the words of the Qur’an to establish his point. That he is neither using an external source NOR any interpretation.
The muslim obviously disagrees with that. His point is ONLY THE ARABIC WORDS of the Qur’an is the actual Qur’an and even a translation necessarily adds an interpretation and point of view that has to be justified. He keeps asking the murrabi to name the source of his view OR concede the murrabie is interpreting only based on his own personal understanding. Ansar Raza sb never addresses this in a straightforward way but keeps asserting that his position is just based on word by word plain reading without any addition or interpretation and therefore as a matter of fact the “true reading”.
He also says that he doesn’t care about any Islamic scholarship or whoever agrees or disagrees with him. 2) The Muslim keeps asking Ansar Raza, S.B., to clarify the understanding of the word “min” in the verse and why he is saying that the affirmation only needs to be of the revealed books and not the prophets (latter would lead to an infinite loop of prophets).
In the muslim understanding BOTH things are included in the affirmation (by Muhammad) and its not plausible to take one part out and build a general principle just for that one part and claim the necessity for reaffirmation of the Qur’an by another messenger that then has to come after muhammad.

There is a lengthy debate about the word “thumma.”
It’s part of the Muslims’ argument to rebut the notion that a general, continuous principle is being established with this verse. His point is that the “then” here creates a temporal order and a conclusion between the first part of the covenant with the prophets and the one who comes as the ending point to reaffirm them, establishing that it’s one specific person, the Prophet Muhammad, that’s being talked about. Ansar Raza sb. objects, citing a bunch of references where “thumma” is used in the Qur’an and also hadith, apparently in a non-temporal, non-concluding way. But after some back and forth, concedes that it could be read that way, and Prophet Muhammad also could be meant here as one person who is being labeled with this word, but at the same time still insists that it also establishes that another messenger must come.

Furthermore, Ansar Raza’s arguments seem to be at odds with the official Ahmadiyya position as stated in the 5-volume English Commentary of the Quran (1988) by Malik Ghulam Farid, which told the world that this verse is considered to apply to other Prophets in general and to the Holy Prophet in particular. Both applications are correct. However, Ansar Raza said that it only includes Eisa (as) and Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. It should be noted that in the “short commentary” by Malik Ghulam Farid, it is stated that the expression Mithaqun-Nabiyyin may either signify the covenant of the Prophets with God or the covenant which God took from the people through their Prophets. The expression has been used here in the latter sense because another reading of the expression as supported by Ubayy bin Ka‘b and ‘Abdullah bin Mas‘ud is Mithaqalladhina ’utul-Kitab meaning, the covenant of those who were given the Book (Muhit). This rendering is also supported by the words that follow, i.e. and then there comes to you a Messenger fulfilling that which is with you, because it was to the people and not to their Prophets that the Messengers of God came.
In this debate, the Shia debater told Ansar Raza that all of the verses that Qadiani’s present are 1:6, 4:69 and 7:35 are abrogated by 33:40. To this, Ansar Raza said that the Quran has contradictions in it.
