Intro
Via ancestry.com, a Charles Frances Seivwright was born on 21 May 1862 to Josephine Cornelia Lahon and Marcus Sievwright and in Fitzroy, Victoria, Australia. Charles Frances Seivwright died on 11 Nov 1934 at the age of 72 and was buried in the L.A. area (See The Los Angeles Times of Tue, Nov 13, 1934 ·Page 16). Funeral services were held at the Wee Kirk o’ the Heather, Forest Lawn in Glendale, Ca.
Charles F. Sievwright was the second white person and potential intelligence agent to openly convert to Ahmadiyya (1906), Alexander Russel Webb was the first, however, Webb quit by 1890. Alexander Russel Webb was made a governor in the Philippines and before that was allegedly a simple a newspaper editor in the USA. It should be noted that Mufti Muhammad Sadiq and other Ahmadi editors lied about white converts to Ahmadiyya from Europe and America. Thus, there are others like Khalid Sheldrake who were British Military members, turned Ahmadi and were given dominion over small-failed nation states like Turkestan.
Charles F. Seivwright alleges to have been a Qadiani since 1896. He allegedly converted to Qadianism while he was living in Melbourne, Australia, however, there is no corroborating evidence.
In 1901-1902, he was living in England (See ROR of April 1906) and saw the dark side of British culture. C.F. Sievwright alleges to have already lived in the USA, passed through Spain, France, Italy and New Zealand.
In 1903, C.F. Sievwright came to Qadian and met MGA. His arrival in Qadian is recorded in the third volume of Malfuzat under the title “Answers to the questions of an Australian new Qadiani convert”. He was present in Qadian on 22 October 1903 and stayed for two days. The sub-ref is missing. He is mentioned as Sheikh Abdul Haqq in the Al-Hakam, vol. 8, no. 43, 44, p. 5, 6, dated 17 & 24 December 1904 (Via Urdu-Malfuzat-9, pages 39-45). “This meeting with Ghulam Ahmad in Qadian in the year 1903 was a wonderful proof of the truths of Islam […] On the 22nd October 1903, I was at Qadian and received the hospitality of the entire community […] Nothing astonished me more, among all the extraordinary incidents during my missionary travels than the finding of myself in that sacred place and face to face with its Messiah.” (The Moslem Sunrise, 1922, p. 144). However, he was in the Punjab in Oct of 1903 and was scheduled to give a speech at Town Hall Lahore. Seivwright claims that he was giving a speech on “Are The Indian People British Subjects?”, however, this seems to be a front, his goal in life was to secure permanent unity for the British Empire, via the British and Indian Empire League of Australia. Nevertheless, he was in Lahore and then decided to visit Qadian and meet Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. In the Moslem Sunrise he claims to have seen MGA clothes in yellow robes, and he learned of MGA’s illnesses. However, he didn’t join the Ahmadiyya Movement. He even looked into MGA’s eyes, which is funny! He discussed the crucifixtion and other related arguments and left allegedly unconvinced.
In 1906, Charles F. Seivwright visited Qadian again and announced his conversion to Ahmadiyya in the ROR of April-1906, see pages 144-150, “10 Years in Islam” (See also Fanusie).
In 1906 (ROR of Sep, pages 362-363), he wrote to Maulvi Muhammad Ali (editor of the Review of Religions) and told that he had sent sail towards California and needed money. His address in San Diego is given (See also Fanusie).
In 1907, C.F. Sievwright was mentioned in one of the most famous local newspapers of Northern California, (See “The Placer Herald” of Sat, Jan 26, 1907 ·Page 2)(Rocklin, Ca), M. Abdul Haq C.F. Sievwright was mentioned as someone who was in the USA on a mission to convert all to Allah. Sievwright is also described as a writer in the Review of Religions magazine from the Punjab. The newspaper reports that Sievwright came from India and is a well known Moslem in India (a lie). He is now in San Diego. Sievwright alleges that his only mission is to spread Islam in California.
In Feb-1909 (See Fowler Ensign of Sat, Feb 27, 1909 ·Page 5)(this magazine belonged to Mormons), C.F. Sievwright (his name is incorrectly spelled as C.S. Sievwright) was in 1817 Lyon St, San Francisco, Ca and met with a man named Howard H. Harris about business. It seems that C.F. Sievwright read newspaper reports about Farmer’s Union’s in Fresno County. C.F. Sievwright was allegedly an organizer back in Australia with some Agricultural Fraternal Association. It was called the “Farmer’s, Producer’s and Land Owners Association of Australia”. C.F. Sievwright told “The Fowler Ensign” newspaper that this “association” helped out (in terms of production and efficiency) in the butter industry. C.F. Sievwright alleged that previously, the country of Denmark had a monopoly on butter sales in England, however, he was able to makes sales double and thus the Australian and New Zealand dairyman was able to capture a huge piece of the English Butter market. C.F. Sievwright is described as well spoken and good at organizing and doing general paperwork.
In the “Fowler Ensign” of Sat, Apr 10, 1909 ·Page 5, Chas. F Sievwright is reported to have arrived in Fowler on March-25-1900 as he took a job as accountant in the “Ensign Office” and has decided to permanently settle down in Fowler. In fact, the family of Sievwright has reportedly moved from San Francisco to Fowler and into a residence. The family seems to have arrived in San Francisco just last Sunday (which would be Apr-4-1909). Allegedly, Mr. Sievwright has an expertise in developing rural industries into manufacturing and exporting of perishable products. Sievwright is also introduced as a gifted orator and has successfully worked with Farmers Unions.
In the “Fowler Ensign” Newspaper of Sat, Jul 03, 1909 ·Page 4, Charles F. Sievwright gives good reasons why he should become a U.S. citizen. Charles F. Sievwright is introduced as someone who is working in the capacity of bookkeeper at the “Ensign Office”. Charles F. Sievwright was previously a native of Australia and therefore a subject of Great Britain. Charles F. Sievwright has travelled extensively in the world. Charles F. Sievwright is asked 2 questions. Question 1 is why do you prefer the USA to the UK. Charles F. Sievwright alleges to have been in South Africa during the Boer War and was a close observer. Charles F. Sievwright also alleges to have lived in Chicago many years ago. Charles F. Sievwright ends by saying he is planning to celebrate in a huge way for the upcoming 4th of July Independence Day.
In 1909, C.F. Sievwright was working at the Ensign Office and was purported as being a Naturalist (not a Qadiani anymore? or not even a Muslim missionary?). The only people that worked at Ensign offices were used by the U.S. military and thus, he seems to be a military officer. In this article, (See the Fowler Ensign of Sat, Nov 20, 1909 ·Page 3)(see scans in the below), C.F. Sievwright gave medical advice on how not to get a sore throat and suggested keeping the mouth closed when it’s cold out and trying to breathe. C.F. Sievwright suggested that people should hold warm air in their lungs when they go outside wherein it might be cold. He also mentions Jack Frost.
On Christmas day, Saturday, Dec-25-1909 (page 5), in the “Fowler Ensign” newspaper, Mr. Sievwright from Fowler, Ca, talks about eating the famous colonial goose this Christmas, this is the official Christmas dish of Australia.
In July of 1910, via the Fowler Ensign of Sat, Jul 02, 1910 ·Page 1, C.F. Sievwright reportedly attended a “Children’s Day” event wherein local colored youngster were entertained. This happened at the Fowler Baptist Church (at 507 E Merced St, Fowler, CA 93625, it still exists in 2025). Miss Amy Harris was in-charge of everything. Reverend C. Williams is the pastor of the church and was the chairman of the event. Reverend J.W. Price was also there. A full schedule is given. In 1910, via the Fowler Ensign newspaper of Sat, Oct 01, 1910 ·Page 2, it is reported that on Wednesday, Sep-28-1910, C.F. Sievwright was at the Fowler Hall with Reverend M.C.C.B. Mason D.D, L. L. D., senior secretary of the Freedmen’s Aid society of the M.E. (white church) Church of America was also there at the invitation of a number of residents, on the race question of educating the Negro for citizenship. There was an audience of 100, mixed between black and white. Reverend L.V. Harrison of the local M.W. (colored) church was there to represent black people and C.F. Sievwright was representing white people. Firstly, C. F. Sievwright introduced Reverend M.C.C.B. Mason D.D, L. L. D., senior secretary of the Freedmen’s Aid society of the M.E. (white church) as the first speaker. Mason explained how whites were educating blacks in the south via 23 schools and colleges and 1 seminary. Mr. Sievwright also made some confusing remarks on how he has helped the Negro. Sievwright then seems to be calling Jesus as God. Dr. Mason talked about removing racial through the Gospel. Mason also mentioned how the US government had benefitted by taxing black people in the South. In 1910, via the “Fowler Ensign” magazine of Sat, Dec 03, 1910 ·Page 2, C.F. Sievwright suggested a system of fire bells in Fowler, Ca (which is just a few miles south of Fresno). In 1910, via the “Fowler Ensign” (of Sat, Dec 31, 1910 ·Page 5), Mr. Sievwright was reportedly at a Christmas party hosted by Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Rampendahl. The daughter of the Sievwright’s was also there.
In 1911, via the Fowler Ensign of Sat, Jan 14, 1911 ·Page 2, C.F. Sievwright was at the local YMCA of Fowler, Ca and presented some magazines and newspapers. Bible classes are reported. Thus, he visited India on tour of his precious British Empire and headed to the Annual Conference of the Indian National Congress at Madras at scheduled to be held in Dec-1903.

Charles F. Seivwright announced his conversion to Ahmadiyya in the ROR of April-1906, see pages 144-150, “10 Years in Islam”.
Sievwright, who eventually settled in San Diego, California wrote to Muhammad ‘Ali throughout his entire journey and upon arriving in California immediately wrote to ‘Ali of his plans to establish an Islamic mission in the United States (“A New Muslim Missionary in America” The Review of Religions, September 1906, pp. 362-362 quotation, 362). That the Ahmadiyya supported Sievwright’s effort is clear as Muhammad ‘Ali used the Review of Religions to call for financial assistance to Sievwright and provided readers with a San Diego address where remittances could be sent.
“despite his sincere intentions, Mr. Sievwright will surely fail in his mission if he is not assisted with resources and financing from Muslims on an organized scale similar to the organized structure of Christian missionary movements in foreign countries.”
“I shall be glad to publish any report of the progress of work made by Mr. Sievwright and to acknowledge any sums received for remittance to this new Muslim missionary.”

Sievwright was mentioned as someone who was in the USA on a mission to convert all to Allah. Sievwright is also described as a writer in the Review of Religions magazine from the Punjab (this is not true). The newspaper reports that Sievwright came from India and is a well known Moslem in India (a lie). He is now in San Diego. Sievwright alleges that his only mission is to spread Islam in California.

In Feb-1909 (See Fowler Ensign of Sat, Feb 27, 1909 ·Page 5), C.F.

Firstly, C. Charles F. Seivwright alleges that he is helping Mufti Muhammad Sadiq and his mission (in Chicago and the anywhere in the USA where there might be Muslims). He reflects on his essay in the ROR of April 1906 and his visit to Qadian in 1903 and 1906. He doesn’t explain where he was from 1906 to 1922.
In the Jan-1922 edition of the Moslem Sunrise, Mohammed Abd Al Haqq (C.F. That was written in Los Angeles and dated 10-1-1922. On pages 69-70 he has a brief note.

Mufti Muhammad Sadiq was offering brown women to white men…if they converted to #Qadianism and a harem in India – ahmadiyyafactcheckblog
The Moslem Sunrise of Jan-1924 has a note of appreciation from Charles F. Sievewright.
Mr. Sievewright is mentioned by John Bertrum Clarke (an occultist) and rapist/murderer (In The Los Angeles Evening Post-Record of 18 Jul 1924, Fri Page 1), as he responds to the allegations against him and in his own defense. He claims that he knows a Secret Ahmadi (described as a Muhammadan) named Mr. Sievewright who works at a creamery in the L.A. area. However, Sievewright also represents “The Moslem Sunrise” magazine and has inside connections with Mufti Muhammad Sadiq (written as Dr. Sadiq) and can get him Indian girls with dark eyes (+jewels and servants) and a harem of women in India. Thus, why would he be raping/killing/marrying women in the USA?
John Bertrum Clarke (an occultist) and rapist/murderer said (See The Los Angeles Evening Post-Record of 18 Jul 1924, Fri Page 1), that he had been in Los Angeles since 1916 and had a church/studio at 638 South Alvarado St., with lots of followers. However, recently John Bertrum Clarke has been associated with Mahomet Sievwright, who seems to live at 940-946 Albany St. John Bertrum Clarkes says he wants to go to India next.

Charles Francis Sievwright’s meeting with the Promised Messiah – Part I
A series looking at the high standard of morals of the Promised Messiahas and his Khulafa when receiving visitors in Qadian
Awwab Saad Hayat, Al Hakam
Before accepting Islam, Hazrat Muhammad Abdul Haqq Sahib’s name was Charles Francis Sievwright. He adopted Muhammad Abdul Haqq as his Muslim name after his conversion to Islam.
He was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1862 to a Catholic family. Hazrat Muhammad Abdul Haqq’s grandfather was sent from Scotland as an assistant aboriginal protector to protect Australia’s ancient and indigenous population.
Hazrat Muhammad Abdul Haqq converted to Islam when he was in Australia in 1896. After accepting Islam, he had the opportunity to travel to different Islamic countries. During his travels, he arrived in India and visited Qadian where he met Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas, the Promised Messiah and Mahdi.

His arrival in Qadian is recorded in the third volume of Malfuzat under the title “Answers to the questions of an Australian new Muslim convert”. He was present in Qadian on 22 October 1903 and stayed for two days.
In 1906, while living in New Zealand, he accepted Islam Ahmadiyyat. He later moved to the United States, where he passed away in Los Angeles.
In Tarikh Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Australia (1903-1965), on page 21, Hazrat Muhammad Abdul Haqq’s conversion to Islam and his visit to India, as a representative of the British and Indian Empire League, is mentioned. It is also written that he spent time in the province of North Queensland and wrote a novel that remained unpublished during his lifetime.
Memories of Hazrat Muhammad Abdul Haqq’sra visit to Qadian and his meeting with the Promised Messiahas are given in The Moslem Sunrise, October 1922:
“This meeting with Ghulam Ahmad in Qadian in the year 1903 was a wonderful proof of the truths of Islam […] On the 22nd October 1903, I was at Qadian and received the hospitality of the entire community […] Nothing astonished me more, among all the extraordinary incidents during my missionary travels than the finding of myself in that sacred place and face to face with its Messiah.” (The Moslem Sunrise, 1922, p. 144)
The Badr newspaper reported that a European, along with Hazrat Mian Mirajuddinra, reached Qadian from Lahore in the afternoon. Hazrat Muhammad Abdul Haqq also delivered a lecture in Lahore, after which some Ahmadis told him about Qadian and the Promised Messiahas. He then left for Qadian via Batala, where he was warmly received by the Ahmadis in Qadian. He offered Maghrib prayer in congregation in Qadian. He was in European attire and wore a black Turkish hat.
After the Maghrib prayer, Hazrat Mian Mirajuddinra introduced him to the Promised Messiahas and informed Huzooras that he had come from Australia and that he had converted to Islam seven years ago. He added that from Australia, he went to London and from there, he expressed to the ambassador of Rome his intention to get acquainted with Islam. The ambassador of Rome advised him to go to Cairo, Egypt; however, later, he was advised by someone else to make his way to Bombay.
During his voyage to India, he saw a vision in which he was told to make his way to the mountains towards Kabul and Kashmir. Then, from there, he eventually made his way to Lahore where he heard about the Promised Messiahas.
After arriving in Qadian, he was fortunate to also meet and have a conversation with Huzooras. Khawaja Kamaluddin served as the interpreter during this conversation.
Muhammad Abdul Haqq Sahib: Whichever place I have visited, I have been in contact with Muslims who either spoke English and could speak to me in person, or we would express our views through an interpreter. To some extent, I benefitted from the experiences of others, and I was always eager to learn about the experiences and views of Muslims from foreign lands.
One need not be a linguist to have a spiritual connection with another; through a spiritual connection, humans can quickly benefit from each other.
The Promised Messiahas: According to the way of Islam, spirituality is [developed] through praying and tawajjuh [a master’s focused spiritual attention on his disciple]. However, it takes time to benefit from it because the effect is not felt until one’s relationship is strong, and a heartfelt connection is established. Praying and tawajjuh is the way to guidance. Nothing can be gained from superficial words.
Muhammad Abdul Haqq Sahib: I am naturally inclined towards spiritual union. This is what I yearn for and desire to fully experience it. Ever since I entered Qadian, I have felt that my heart is at peace and every person I have met so far [in Qadian] seems as if he were an old acquaintance of mine.
The Promised Messiahas: It is God’s law of nature that every soul requires a body and when its body is ready, the soul is blown into it automatically. It is important for you to gradually become familiar with the verities that God Almighty has revealed unto me.
There are many errors in the beliefs spread among the general Muslims and these errors have come from the association of Christians. However, now, God Almighty desires to show the pure and illuminated face of Islam to the world. Purification of doctrine is necessary for spiritual progress; the purer the doctrine, the more progress there will be.
Prayer and tawajjuh are needed in this matter because some people are veiled [from the truth] due to negligence and some people are hindered [from the truth] due to prejudice and some because they have no positive connection with the truthful. However, without God’s support, these veils cannot be removed.
Therefore, tawajjuh and prayer are needed to remove these veils. Ever since the practice of the coming of prophets [to the world] has been established, it has been this way that superficial statements avail nought. People always benefit from tawajjuh and prayer. You see, there was a time when the Holy Prophetsa was alone, but people were drawn to true piety. Although there are now millions of clerics and preachers, since there is no honesty in them, nor spirituality, there is also no [power] to influence others.
The evil inclinations inside a person does not simply vanish from superficial words. That is why the company of the righteous and their attention is required. To reap the blessings, it is very important for one to be in harmony with their disposition and to understand the true beliefs that God has explained to them. Once you realise that there are certain differences in the beliefs of ordinary Muslims and us, then your power (to influence) will increase and you will benefit from the spirituality you seek.
Muhammad Abdul Haqq Sahib: I have always been in search of spiritual unity and love with a person and this why wherever I have travelled thus far, I have learned lessons from natural phenomena by way of seeking a good omen. In the same way, today, I see that my coming and the birth of the new moon are linked (the moon of Sha‘ban was sighted on that day). Since the moon grows to fullness and perfection in the initial half of the phases, so too, will I increase [in faith] and reach perfection (provided one remains in Qadian permanently). I never even imagined that I would be here today on the appearance of the new moon. If I had acted on some of the letters I received from some people in Calcutta, I would have been somewhere else. However, after coming here, I have come to know that those who I had been in search of are here. I had heard about you in Rangoon [modern-day Yangon] and had seen some of your writings, but I did not know of your whereabouts, nor did I expect to be here so soon.
The Promised Messiahas: Hearing this, [my] intuition testifies that you will agree to our terms and, God-willing, will also be able to accept our influence. However, remember, man is successful in attaining grace through two ways: by spending his time in [a prophet’s] company and by continuously listening to his words, and if any doubt arises with regard to the speech or writing [of the prophet] then he should not conceal it. He should rather disclose it candidly, so that [the doubt] may be remedied there and then and so that the needle which is pierced in his heart can be plucked out and he may benefit from his spiritual attention.
One point [to remember] is that he should be patient in the [prophet’s] company and should listen to everything attentively. He should not conceal any doubts, for doubts have a potentially fatal effect, which penetrates deeply and becomes the means of one’s destruction. Many are ruined by this.
The second thing to remember is that when a new path is paved [by God] in Heaven, then someone is appointed [by God]. And since his purpose is to expose the faults of every sect, all people become his enemies and seek to inflict pain and suffering in every possible way. So, when one enters this Jamaat, he then also has to endure all these afflictions. Dangerous attacks by enemies are also made againt him. Every friend and foe becomes an enemy. And the hopes he had in anyone else are shattered. One is made to enter a very difficult path of despair and frustration. All the hopes of respect, honour, prestige and rank one associates with others are shattered at once. This is the old way of the world. It is important to be prepared to tolerate these frustrations and disappointments. A person who possesses a brave heart can face all this; otherwise, it has been observed that people enter this field with enthusiasm, but when all these burdens fall upon them, they then finally bow before the world. Their hearts cannot bear the loss which is afflicted by the world and its people. Therefore, their final fate is worse than their previous condition.
Hence, it is important to bear the taunts and curses of the world. If a person is prepared to enter the Jamaat and bear these disappointments in every way, he will soon find the truth and whatever he must give up in the beginning, Allah will eventually bestow upon him. A seed that is destined to bear fruit and become a big tree must be buried under the soil for the first few days before it can become a tree. Therefore, patience is necessary to enable one to lower himself so that divine power may then raise him and so that he may then grow. Previously, Mr Webb inclined towards me in the same manner, but later on, could not remain firm. Now, he acknowledges all these things.
Muhammad Abdul Haqq Sahib: I know Mr Webb through correspondence and I have known him since the time he came to India; I am well acquainted with his experiences. I consider the very conditions that you have mentioned for entering your Jamaat as the conditions for Islam. Anyone, who becomes a Muslim, must make these conditions his goal. Most Muslims have already informed me of the harm that may befall me from meeting you, yet despite knowing this, I have [still] come here.

Charles Francis Sievwright’s meeting with the Promised Messiah – Part II
A series looking at the high standard of morals of the Promised Messiahas and his Khulafa when receiving visitors in Qadian
Awwab Saad Hayat, Al Hakam
On 23 October, on behalf of Muhammad Abdul Haqq Sahib, Mian Mirajuddin Sahib stated that today, he [Muhammad Abdul Haqq] was listening to a commentary of the Holy Quran from Hazrat Hakim Maulvi Nuruddin Sahibra. And, after hearing him, his [Muhammad Abdul Haqq’s] opinion was that there was a great need for this kind of translation. Most men had been deceived by other translations and he [expressed his] desire for [the Holy Quran’s] translation to be published by the Promised Messiahas.

The Promised Messiahas: It is also my intention that a translation of the Holy Quran should be published by the Jamaat.
Muhammad Abdul Haqq Sahib: No one from among the Europeans feels the need for it more than I do. By reading wrong translations, every person, like me, after searching for the truth and exerting great effort for it, is led to error.
The Promised Messiahas: In actuality, [for a man in search of truth] the Holy Quran alone is not sufficient unless it is accompanied by its commentary. For example, with regard to:
غَيۡرِ الۡمَغۡضُوۡبِ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَ لَا الضَّآلِّيۡنَ
how can anyone understand that it refers to the Jews and Christians until it is openly revealed. And then also, why was this prayer taught to Muslims? The reason for this was that just as the Jews, by denying the Messiah [of Nazareth], received the wrath of God, in the same way, during the Latter Days, the [Muslim] ummah would earn the wrath of God by denying the Promised Messiah. That is why, firstly, by way of prophecy, [the Muslim ummah] was informed that only the blessed souls would be saved from His wrath.
Muhammad Abdul Haqq Sahib: Muslims, as well as some tafsirs [of the Holy Quran], with regard to
مَا قَتَلُوۡهُ وَ مَا صَلَبُوۡهُ وَ لٰكِنۡ شُبِّهَ لَهُمۡ
say that another man was given the image of the Messiah and was hanged, whilst the Messiah [Prophet Jesusas] ascended to Heaven.
The Promised Messiahas: [This issue] is very easy to understand. In common parlance, if it is said that someone was crucified or hanged, it means that he died on the cross. If a guilty person is hanged [on a cross] but does not die and he is taken off [the cross] alive, will the word “hanged” or “crucified” be used for him? Not at all.
On the contrary, it would be a crime to utter these words. A crucified person is one whose life is taken on the cross, and such a one who does not die on [the cross] will not be called crucified, even though he may have been hanged and taken off the cross.
Jews are alive [today]; ask them if the meaning of crucifixion is as we understand it to be or as our opponents comprehend. Then, one should also look at [the usage of] idiomatic language. [In this verse, the phrase] مَا صَلَبُوۡهُ has come withمَا قَتَلُوۡهُ so that it may be understood that crucifixion meant murder, which did not take place. Death by crucifixion did not occur. [The words] شُبِّهَ لَهُمۡ (Surah al-Nisa, Ch.4: V.158) means that he was made to appear to like one crucified.
People’s claim that someone else was given the image of Christ [and put on the cross] is utterly false. Even one’s intellect does not accept it, nor is there any correct narration about it. Consider that if another man had become the image of the Messiah, he would not be free from two conditions – either he was a friend of the Messiah or an enemy. If he was a friend, then the objection is that why was the curse, which God saved the Messiah from, given to his friend? This makes God unjust. And if he was an enemy, what was the need for him to be placed on the cross instead of the Messiah? He must have cried out and shouted, “Ask my wife and children, my name is (so and so) and I am not the Messiah”. Then, there would have been a decrease in the number of people present which would have made it clear that this person was not the Messiah. So, in every way, this idea is false; and [in reality] شُبِّهَ لَهُمۡ means that [he] was made to resemble the one crucified.
Muhammad Abdul Haqq Sahib: This theory [of crucifixion] will create a great revolution in Europe because people there have been deceived and the story has been entirely misconstrued.

The Promised Messiahas: What is commonly said by people is by no means the intention of the Holy Quran and through such misunderstandings, people have been deceived.
Muhammad Abdul Haqq Sahib: The Islamic tenets have reached us through Christians, and [after hearing about Islam] I have come out [in search] of the true face of Islam.
The Promised Messiahas: This is a great grace of God and very fortunate for you that you have come here. It is true that those who are Muslims [today] do not understand the Holy Quran at all. But now, Allah intends to reveal the true meanings of the Quran. Allah has commissioned me for this, and I understand the Holy Quran through His divine revelations and explanations.
The teachings of the Holy Quran are such that no objection can be raised against it, and it is filled with such words that not even a philosopher can get the chance to raise objections. However, Muslims [of today] have abandoned the Holy Quran and have attributed to the Holy Quran, of themselves, such statements which gradually become objections; and they make such claims, from themselves, which are not mentioned in the Holy Quran and are totally against its [teachings].
For example, ponder over the incident of the crucifixion; observe how much interpolation there is in this story. And [ponder over how much] the Holy Quran has been opposed. This [belief] is also against reason and against the Holy Quran.
After this, the Promised Messiah explained the word “tawaffi” and [stated how] the Muslim ummah had faulted in [understanding its true meaning] and said:
Only in the case of the Messiah do [Muslims today] take it to mean physical ascension. However, in the same Quran, and wherever this word appears in dictionaries and other Arabic books, it is translated as “death”.
Muhammad Abdul Haqq Sahib: This is an important task that you have taken on and it is needed not only by the Muslims but also by Christians. I have found, from coming to Qadian, that this Jamaat is very useful; and I desire that may Allah make me a tool for great work such as this, and that I also have a share in it.
The Promised Messiahas: I always pray, and I always desired that a person among Europeans to come forth and dedicate his life for this cause. However, it is necessary for such a person to stay in my company for some time and gradually learn all the necessary Islamic principles that can clear Islam of all blemishes. He should understand all the powerful and majestic arguments, which would enable this.
Then such a person will be able to go to other countries and perform this service. To endure this service, one needs a pure and strong soul; he who possesses this will be a highly useful person and, in the sight of God, will be declared a great man in heaven.
Muhammad Abdul Haqq Sahib: I will be leaving here tomorrow and will be visiting various places in India till the end of December to perform an essential service which is based on the service of mankind. That [service] is the removal of the restriction placed on Indian traders in Australia. After this visit, I will see which path I take.
The Promised Messiahas: The exegesis of the Holy Quran will be done at its appointed time, but if God so inspires you and you come to stay here, then we can immediately do the commentary of portions of the Holy Quran against which all other religions have raised allegations due to a lack of understanding, or Muslims have misunderstood them.
First, a list [of objections raised by others] will be prepared. The list shall not be too long because the same objection has been repeatedly raised by each sect. Thus, if its truth could be impressed on your mind, then that would result in the exegesis of that portion. And in this way, every objection [against Islam which is raised] in Europe can be answered and, in this way, the deception of the people of Europe will be removed.
The newspaper, Badr, in its 29 October 1903 issue, whilst mentioning Hazrat Ahmad’sas engagements of 24 October 1903, wrote that Muhammad Abdul Haqq Sahib returned on the same day and after Zuhr, the Promised Messiahas delivered a speech in which he mentioned making sacrifices for the sake of religion.

There is no widely recognized information or credible sources discussing Charles F. Sievwright’s alleged sexual connections to Qadian or brown women. It’s important to approach such claims with caution, especially if they lack substantial evidence or credible sources to support them. Without verified and reliable information, it’s difficult to validate or comment on such assertions.
