Intro
Samuel Marinus Zwemer was a famous Christian missionary from the USA who worked in the Arab lands and tried to get Arab’s to convert to Christianity. In 1921, he was in Detroit and witnesses the first ever mosque (Highland Park Mosque) being built and it’s opening ceremony. A few months later, he wrote about in the “Missionary Review of the World” for Oct-1921. He also interacted with Mufti Muhammad Sadiq and Muhammad Karoub. He called Ahmadiyya as deceptive, he essentially accused Ahmadi’s of denying the Virgin Birth and instead giving it a sugar coating of modernism. 

Zwemer was the founder/editor of the famous Muslim World (Moslem World) magazine (started in 1911) and he wrote extensively vs. Islam. The ROR of Nov-1915 has an article by Sayyal (while he was in London) wherein he attempts to refute Samuel Marinus Zwemer (who was working in Egypt)(Nile Missionary Press). The ROR of April-May-1917 has an article Maulvi Muhammad Din entitled, “Dr. Zwemer’s Qarina”. In this essay he discusses whether children are born with evil. Zwemer is quoted in the ROR of Nov-Dec-1929 and March-1930 and in the Moslem Sunrise of Apr-July-1932 in terms of Abdullah Scott and his trip to Qadian in 1931.

More Christians started to note that the spread of Ahmadiyyat influenced the civilization of Christianity saying: “Here too, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian has inaugurated a religious movement of tremendous force and potency.”
