Intro
The Ahmadiyya Movement knew that there were communities of Muslims in Chiapas, Mexico. Thus, when they expanded in Mexico, they also sent a group of Ahmadi Maulvi’s to Chiapas to seek converts from the local Muslim Community. That seems to have totally failed. 

However, by roughly 2014, Ahmadi Maulvi’s were able to get a young street kid named Anastasio Gomez to convert to Qadianism. We think the Ahmadi Maulvi’s were Azhar Goraya, Adnan Haider (@1Adnan_Haider). The Ahmadiyya Movement made adopt a Muslim name, which is Ibrahim Chechev, he was barely 15 and had no income. He met with Qadiani-Ahmadi Maulvi’s and was promised a job and a lifelong income, he had never read Arabic, nor did he know the basics of Islam. 10+ years later and he’s the imam of the Ahmadi Community in San Cristobal de las Casas. In 2019, via the BBC, Ibrahim Chechev was alleging that his mom, dad, cousins, uncles and childhood friends converted to Ahmadiyya. He can also be seen in a mixed gathering at the Ahmadiyya mission in San Cristobal De Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, this has barely a 250 maximum occupancy, and built in 2016. There are local Ahmadi converts in the area city of San Cristobal De Las Casas.

Ibrahim Chechev is presented as the first ever Imam with Mayan ethnicity. The first ever Jalsa Salana in Mexico was held, the location is unknown.

2018

The 2nd Annual Jalsa Salana is held in Merida. Azhar Goraya seems to have conducted the whole program. It was held in Merida. Ibrahim Chechev was also there, he claimed to have driven 16 hours from San Cristobal De Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico. Noman Rana @theimamrana was there too. Daud Hanif (An ahmadi Maulvi in the USA) was there in attendance, famous Qadiani-Ahmadi cardiologist.
