Intro
I met Zaki in 1989 in L.A. at the Chino mosque-temple. His father was the Maulvi in-charge and was hard on his kids, like visibly hard on them, similar to how Desi men raise their children, i.e., a bastion of extremism that they themselves never endured successfully. Nevertheless, Ahmadiyya sources allege that Zaki and his Maulvi father (Inam ul Haq Kausar) moved to LA in 1990, that seems to be off by one year, since I clearly remember being in Chino in 1989 while my father was in Germany, kissing up to Mirza Tahir Ahmad. My sister also got married in Pakistan in the summer of 1989 and as soon as I returned, I was sent to Chino for an Atfal ijtema. An interesting story, Muhammad Ahmad Chaudhary was also there, I remember hanging out with him and another convert (a black guy) and this convert seems to have kissing on her or alone with her (Zaki’s sister) of Maulvi Inam ul Haq Kausar. Nevertheless, Muhammad Ahmad Chaudhary and others told me that Maulvi Inam ul Haq Kausar was so incensed that he slapped the boy.
Over the years, every time I went to Chino, I hung out with Zia ul Haq Zaki, and sometimes in his house and with his younger brother Sonny (Sanullah Kausar). This was up to like 1994-1995. By 1999, Zaki had left for Jamia-Rabwah. In the meantime, by 2003, his brother (Sanullah Kausar) had silently left Ahmadiyya, by 2010-ish, he married a Christian woman and totally disappeared from Ahmadiyya.
By 2024, Zia ul Haq Zaki is not an Ahmadi, he is totally missing, his brother Sonny too and his most likely his sister. The only Ahmadi left in the family is Maulvi Mahmood Kauser (@Mahmood_Kauser on twitter) is an official employee of the Ahmadiyya Movement and in 2024 is working out of the Chino temple-mosque in the L.A. area. Their father (Maulvi Inam ul Haq Kausar) was banished to Australia and hasn’t seen any of his children or grandchildren in over 5-10 years.
