Intro
W.D. Fard was known as a white man by Elijah Muhammad (0:40 time stamp) and his son W.D. Muhammad (0:34 time stamp) in the late 1950’s/early 1960’s (however, white had a different definition in 1931). This causes many familial clashes and even the expulsion of W.D. Muhammad from his father’s mansion, since he who couldn’t understand how a “white man” was considered God. This seems to be the origins of the theory of Maulana Muhammad Abdullah=”Master Fard Muhammad”. Maulana Muhammad Abdullah was a paid employee of the NOI since roughly 1962 and worked as their imam in Philadelphia at an NOI temple. He led this charade for over 20 years and finally in the 1980’s, he began to confess to not being “Master Fard Muhammad”, however, only in private settings (See the testimony of Khalilah Ali ).
In 2013, the ex-wife (Khalilah Ali) of the famous boxer Muhammad Ali, alleged that she met “Master Fard Muhammad” (aka Maulana Muhammad Abdullah) in the mid-1960’s. Khalilah Ali, born as Belinda Boyd (March 17, 1950). Her father, Brother Raymond, served as a prominent lieutenant under Elijah Muhammad, and her mother, Sister Inez (Aminah), worked within the temple as a security officer and companion to Sister Clara Muhammad, the NOI First Lady. Due to her parents’ roles, Boyd grew up with close ties to NOI leadership, adhering to NOI teachings on lifestyle, including abstaining from social activities before marriage.
Khalilah Ali claims to have met Maulana Muhammad Abdullah in what appears to be the mid-1960’s. She alleges that Elijah Muhammad introduced her to Maulana Muhammad Abdullah (3:28 time stamp), who is actually “Master Fard Muhammad” in the home of Elijah Muhammad.
Khalilah Ali was not even married to Muhammad Ali (pre-1967) at this point. Khalilah Ali alleges that she became like an adopted granddaughter of Maulana Muhammad Abdullah (aka “Master Fard Muhammad”) and saw him often. She spoke to him on the phone and even wrote letters to and from. He would write back as “Grand-father”. She still has these letters too! Maulana Muhammad Abdullah (aka “Master Fard Muhammad”) told Khalilah Ali that he was born in Karachi, Pakistan. She also alleges that he could speak English without an accent. Curiously, Khalilah Ali was unsure if Muhammad Ali had ever met Maulana Muhammad Abdullah (aka “Master Fard Muhammad”). Khalilah Ali also claims that the wife of Maulana Muhammad Abdullah also wrote her letters and vice versa. Allegedly, Muhammad Ali spoke with Maulana Muhammad Abdullah (aka “Master Fard Muhammad”) on the phone (on a daily basis) and in-person many times as early as 1964 (Sonny Liston fight). Elijah Muhammad would only let the top paying people meet with Maulana Muhammad Abdullah (aka “Master Fard Muhammad”)(commentary by Omar Shabazz.
She states that she saw Maulana Muhammad Abdullah (aka “Master Fard Muhammad”) sometime later (probably in the 1980’s) and he had totally dropped the “Master Fard Muhammad” and was only Maulana Muhammad Abdullah (she was divorced from Muhammad Ali) at this point)(See the photo in the below)(her daughter Maryum Ali and her adopted daughter from Malaysia). In the photo, it was the birthday of Maulana Muhammad Abdullah and Khalilah Ali made him a carrot cake.
However, none of this is true, since in the summer of 1931, Maulana Muhammad Abdullah was in Fiji and working as an “honorary secretary of the Muslim League of Fiji”. In Sep-1931, Muhammad Abdullah was published in the famous Lahori-Ahmadi newspapers, “The Light” (See “The Light”, Sep 16, 1931, p. 10 & 11, Muhammad Abdullah, “Letters to the Editor: Muslims in Fiji Islands”). Apart from spearheading Indo-Fijian Islamic youth education, Abdullah emerged as a fiery religious defender of Islam desperately struggling to shield the Fiji Muslim community from the pernicious threats posed by Arya Samaj and Sanatan Dharm Sabha Hindu missionaries in the 1930s. On behalf of the nation-wide Fiji Muslim League (fml) in 1931, Abdullah publicly lambasted Hindu missionaries in Fiji who were “hard at work to crush the Muslims” through operations “of a clandestine nature but to the observant eye, they are vivid and clear”.
