Sohail Bawa and Adnan Rashid talk about their recent work vs. Qadianism (May-2025)

Intro
In May of 2025, Adnan Rashid met up with Sohail Bawa (son of Abdul Rahman Bawa) and talked about their recent work vs. Qadianism (See the clip on Tiktok and twitter). In this short video, Bro Adnan explains how when he was in Canada an Ahmadi quit Ahmadiyya, embraced Islam and gave Adnan a replica gold medal that was given to him by Mirza Masroor Ahmad for being a top student.

Sohail Bawa told Adnan how a young Qadiani-Ahmadi had recently converted to Islam (see the newspaper clippings in the below). It should be noted that the father of Sohail Bawa (Abdul Rahman Bawa) was in Mali in 1990 and converted 30,000 new Qadiani-Ahmadi’s back to Islam after they had unknowingly converted.

What was the Anjuman Taraqqi Islam?

Intro
After the split in the Ahmadiyya Movement (March-1914), the remaining Qadiani-Ahmadi’s, with
Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih II as their leader created a new charity called Anjuman Taraqqi Islam (also spelled as Anjuman Taraqi-e-Islam). This seems to have been done as defensive measure, just in case the Lahori-Ahmadi’s sued for ownership of the Sadr Anjuman.

Nevertheless, on 12 April 1914, Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih II, appealed to members of the Jamaat for Anjuman Taraqi-e-Islam after considering the recommendation of Majlis-e-Shura. This is a semi-famous speech that goes by the title Mansab-e-Khilafat in which he highlighted the works of the Khalifa.

The first obligation of the Khalifa which he mentioned was the promulgation and spread of Islam. The foundation of Anjuman Tarraqi-e-Islam was laid in this address. The sole purpose of this appeal was to lay the foundation of sacrifice in the hearts of members of the Jamaat and to create a platform that could be used to carry the true message of Islam to the corners of the Earth. Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih II named it Anjuman Taraqi-e-Islam on the basis of a divine vision and nominated Mirza Bashir Ahmad, Maulvi Syed Muhmmad Ahsan, Nawab Muhammad Ali Khan, Hamid Shah, Maulvi Sher Ali, Assitant Surgeon Dr. Mir Muhammad Ismail, Dr. Khalifa Rashiddudin, and Haji Seith Allah Rakha Abdur Rahman of Madras, as its members. Maulvi Sher Ali was the secretary of this Anjuman and the fund Dawat Ilal-Khair was transferred to it. This Anjuman lived up to its name, Taraqi-e-Islam (the spread of Islam), with great responsibility until firstly Sadr Anjuman Ahmadiyya and then in 1945, Tahrik-e-Jadid Anjuman Ahmadiyya took up the responsibility of the propagation and promulgation of Islam Ahmadiyyat. (Tarikh-e-Ahmadiyyat, Vol. 4, p. 143)

Martin Robert Ahrens, “The Ahmadiyya Movement”, MA Dissertation, University of Chicago, 1929

Intro
In 1928-1929, Martin Robert Ahrens wrote “The Ahmadiyya Movement”, MA Dissertation, University of Chicago, 1929. This was quoted by Fanusie in 2007-2008 in her dissertation.

Martin Robert Ahrens has argued that despite appearances of competing doctrines, the true difference between the Lahori and Qadian branches of the Ahmadiyya lay in their differing approaches to the task of missionary work or cultivating Islamic growth on a global scale (See Fanusie, page 120, See Ahrens, page 51).

Did Mirza Ghulam Ahmad cuss at Allah?

Intro
In Barahin-i-Ahmadiyya V-5 (See RK-21, page 312-Urdu and BA-5, page 410-English), Mirza Ghulam Ahmad cusses at Allah, the god of Muslims. At 2:12:47, Bro Imtiaz explains this quote.

MGA uses “Marz-e lahaq” for his diseases and alleges that Allah is summun bukmun (dumb and deaf)(Naozobillah).

Arna Bontemps and Jack Conroy titled “They Seek A City”, 1944 edition vs. 1960 edition

Intro
In the 1945 edition of Arna Bontemps and Jack Conroy titled “They Seek A City” (see pages 177-183). Beynon was indirectly quoted and his testimony was thus given, this is how Wallace Farad was connected to Noble Drew Ali. There is no other testimony. However, in the 1966 edition of the same book, on page 217, it is alleged that Wallace Farad “must have been a follower of Noble Drew Ali. David Ford-El is not mentioned in either edition.

In 1962, after the FBI made public allegations vs. Wallace Farad, E. U. Essien-Udom wrote about that Wallace Farad and also connected him to Noble Drew Ali in his 1962 book “Black Nationalism: The Search for an Identity”. E. U. Essien-Udom)(See also John Morrow, “Finding W.D. Fard”, page 188). Nevertheless, David Ford-El was not mentioned at all. Thus proving that it was false report which was given to the FBI.

The failed Khilafat of Nur ud Din in the local press 1908-1914

Intro
The Khilafat of Maulvi Nur ud Din (1908 to 1914) was a total disaster. Just 5 months into him becoming the Khalifa-1, there was a huge issue in terms of the powers of the Khalifa vs. the Sadr Anjuman, this led to the split in Ahmadiyya in 1914. The power struggle between the Khalifa-1 and the Sadr Anjuman reached its peak at the 1908 Jalsa Salana at Qadian, as Maulvi Muhammad Ali, Khwaja Kamal uddin and others gave speeches on how the Sadr Anjuman was in control, not the Khalifa.
