Intro
My estimation is that there are less than 100k Ahmadi’s in all of Pakistan in 2026.
In 2017, NADRA reported that there were 167,473 persons who claimed to be Ahmadi in Pakistan. This number is too high and obviously an error. In fact, in 1998, the Pakistani census alleged way too many Ahmadi’s and this seems to be influenced by Ahmadi’s in power in an attempt to get more asylum cases out of Pakistan.
In 2020, Mirza Usman Ahmad tweeted and alleged that at the high end, there might be 500k Ahmadi’s in Pakistan.
However, by 2024, we estimate this number to be much less, at roughly 60,000. The Ahmadiyya Movement has never accepted either of these numbers and has remained quiet. However, recently, Asif Basit has alleged that there are more Ahmadi’s in Pakistan than the entire continent of Africa. Ahmadiyya sources allege that there are 70,000 Ahmadi’s in Chenab Nagar. However, Chenab Nagar can only hold roughly 20,000 residents, there are NO skyscrapers, this is based on the housing schemes. On top of that, there has never been a census by the Ahmadiyya Movement.
In 2019, in Germany, the Ahmadiyya Movement argued in a court a few years ago that its just 400-600k in pakistan and with that revised down an earlier claim of 4 million Ahmadis in Pakistan.

UK Home Office, Country Policy and Information Note, Pakistan: Ahmadis, Version 3.0, June 2018) also assume this estimated number, p. 23, point 6.1.1) keeps lists, so it can be assumed that it has an (approximate) idea of the number of its members living in Pakistan and abroad (cf. the response to inquiries by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jammat to the Sigmaringen Administrative Court of September 24, 2019 (N-179 (16696) to Az. A 8 K 630/17)”
