Intro
MGA seems to have always thought that Tuesday’s were unlucky days (See Seeratul Mahdi-1923, Narration #11). In this story, Nusrat Jehan Begum (MGA’s widow in 1923) told her son, Mirza Bashir Ahmad that MGA disliked Tuesday’s and related a story about the birth of MGA’s daughter, Mubaraka Begum and how she was about to be born on a Tuesday, but MGA prayed that the birth be delayed (since MGA disliked Tuesday’s and saw them as bad luck). The birth was thus delayed and Mubaraka Begum was born on a Wednesday night. Dard didn’t give an exact date of birth either (see Dard, page 565).
“Narrated to me Hz Mother Sahba, that hz Masih Moud (mgaq), among days of the week, considered Tuesday as ” not a good day” (like Friday the 13th considered by some as unlucky day). Further narrated by Hz Khalifa sani (k2) that when my sister Mubaraka begum was about to be born, it was Tuesday, Therefore, hz Sb prayed that to be born after Tuesday so, she was born after Tuesday on Wednesday night.”
