Halimatou Dibba is the sister of the Ahmadiyya employee aka Mullah Abdullah Dibba on twitter as @MurabbiDibba. A few hours ago, he tweeted to the world and told how his sister was appointed as a Commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) by The National Assembly of the Gambia. This seems to be a political move by the Ahmadiyya Movement as they continue to use their influence to get Ahmadi’s on executive panels all around the world. In fact, when the Gambia was given fake independence from the British, an Ahmadi, Sir Farimang Mamadi Singateh was the second and last Governor General of the Gambia, representing Queen Elizabeth II as head of state. Succeeding Sir John Warburton Paul, who had previously been the last Governor of The Gambia before independence, Sir Farimang was the only Gambian citizen to hold that post, beginning in 1966. When the country became a republic in 1970, the office was abolished, and the Prime Minister, Dauda (later Sir Dawda) Kairaba Jawara became an executive President.

Ms. Dibba is a single Ahmadi woman and acquired a BA in Political science from the University of Ghana, and LLM International Law from the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom. Ms. Dibba, served as Senior Assistant Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs between 2010 and 13. Between 2018 and 19, she was a Medical Administrator at Sennelager Medical Centre in Germany.

At the time of her appointment, Ms. Dibba served as a full time lecturer in International Relations, International Law, and Human Rights System at the University of the Gambia.

In 2017, the National Assembly enacted the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Act with the mandate to promote and protect human rights. One of the core functions of the NHRC is to investigate a violation of human rights, at its own initiative or on a complaint made by any person or a group of persons.
