Intro
We have found a reference which seems to indicate that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad stole sugar as a child. This is riwayat number 244 in Seeratul Mahdi, we have posted a scan from the 1935 edition of Seerat ul Mahdi. The same ref can be found on page 225 of the 2008 edition of Seeratul Mahdi. In this story, they blame the maid for MGA’s indiscretions. They also tell how MGA loved sugar in his flat bread (roti). It seems that MGA stole sugar from his mom’s kitchen, however, it wasn’t sugar, it was salt. MGA’s friends told him to steal sugar (A similar story is given in the ROR of June-1939).
