We have seen on twitter (See the additional tweets in the below) and other websites how the Qadiani-Ahmadi’s are working actively with the poppy appeal. The Poppy Appeal is the Royal British Legion’s biggest fundraising campaign held every year in November. This is similar to the behaviors of MGA during the Boer war, MGA collected funds and sent to them to South Africa to help British soldiers and their injuries.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association launches local poppy campaign
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association (AMEA) launched its fundraising campaign for the Royal British Legion at East Hampshire District Council this week.
The AMEA raised £900,000 nationally last year, with £30,000 being raised in the local area. This year they are aiming to raise more than £1million nationally and as much as they can locally from this fundraising campaign.
Cllr Anthony Williams, Chairman of EHDC, was invited to the launch on Monday 23 October at Penns Place, Petersfield. He said: “I was honoured to be invited by our friends at the AMEA, to their launch of their fundraising campaign for the Royal British Legion.
“The charitable work they carry out within East Hampshire is greatly appreciated by our residents, councillors and the various organisations they continue to support.
“And this is another example of their continued quest to raise money for good causes, not only in our area, but across the country.”
Muhammad Luqman Chaudhary, Regional Chair Charity Walk For Peace (AMEA Hampshire & Surrey), said: “Thank you so much for your kind support towards the Charity Walk for Peace Poppy Appeal Launch for 2023.
“Last year we were able to collect over £900,000 for the Poppy Appeal throughout the UK, and over £1.6million a year in total for charity.
“We hope we are able to raise much-needed funds for both the British Legion’s Poppy Appeal and other worthy charitable organisations here in the UK.”
Cllr Adeel Shah, Community Development and Engagement Portfolio Holder for EHDC, said: “Supporting charity programmes and charity organisations is something which we at East Hampshire District Council take great pride in.
“It is always warming to see how many volunteer-hours and effort AMEA puts into all of its programmes.
“A few months ago, they held a Charity Walk for Peace and raised funds for 26 local British charities and now they are volunteering again for the Royal British Legion.
“It’s volunteers like the AMEA, that make our district a proud district to live in.”
