Intro
In a recent convert story, Mirko Garofalo alleges that he was born a Catholic, went Atheist, then went further into Atheism by joining Qadianism. He seems to be an Italian Professor working in Iceland and a member of the Qadiani’s in Iceland.
His conversion to Ahmadiyya story is problematic and has many holes in it. In his youth, he trained to be a Catholic Friar (priest). He had multiple mental break downs in his training which caused him to quit Christianity altogether. He claims to have become an Atheist based on anger and emotions. He must have been in his early 20’s. He claims to be explored work in solar energy and then surfing the internet. In the early 2010’s he said he saw pictures of Iceland and how beautiful the northern lights are and other waterfalls. This piqued his interest and he wanted to explore further. He alleges that he wanted to learn Icelandic language to move to Iceland. He alleges that when he was 13 years old a female classmate of his from Morocco spoke some Arabic and he was mesmerized. He alleges that he learned some Arabic (this is a lie) and he could speak a little and read a little. He alleges that Arabic and Icelandic language came easy to him to understand, he can’t explain why. He alleges that it was the Donald Trump presidential campaign of late 2015 which piqued his interest in Islam. He also had some Muslims students, some from Iran and some from Afghanistan. This is when he says he started to read the Quran. At 25:29 he said all War in the Quran is defensive.
In 2018, he was still reading from Sunni translations of the Quran and he alleges that he could read Arabic already. He says that if it wasn’t for Donald Trump, he would have never became a Qadiani-Ahmadi. He alleges on Jan-8-2018, he began praying salat. From 2014 to 2018 he would have panic attacks almost every single night while sleeping and it looked like be we wasn’t breathing anymore. He alleges that after praying salaat the panic attacks went away. He says he has a problem with the punishment of death for apostacy (34:00 time stamp).
He quotes the famous 3:144 of the Quran and also quotes 5:75 and calls the Sunni belief a contradiction. He makes some weird nonsensical argument about a “definite article”. He argues that the Mahdi and Messiah are the same person. He alleges that he studied Biblical Hebrew.
He alleges that he found Qasim Rashid on twitter and followed him and saw his “True Islam Campaign”. He alleges that he immediately agreed with everything therein. He then says he went a flea market in Reykjavík, Iceland and met an Ahmadi Maulvi.
By March 2018, there was an Icelandic man who went to Syria and joined ISIS and he was known to Mirko Garofalo. He says that he went to Ahmadi temple and experienced a Friday sermon. He signed the bayat form right after the sermon.
