Intro
At the recent meeting in Bradford, Canada, a resident name Brent Fellman said he had concerns that Asif Khan (National Secretary for Public Relations for Ahmadiyya in Canada) had donated to three members of council who had not recused themselves from the discussions about the event, and asked if that should be considered a conflict of interest, but McKnight suggested it would be better to address that issue with council. According to financial records from the 2022 municipal election, Asif Khan and other members of AMJ made campaign donations to Mayor James Leduc, Deputy Mayor Raj Sandhu and Ward 2 Coun. Jonathan Scott with amounts ranging from $300 to $1,000. However, the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act makes no mention of campaign contributions as a pecuniary interest for which members of council would need to declare or recuse themselves.
Furthermore, in terms of the Ahmadiyya school in Bradford, Maybe Bradford residents should speak with the community surrounding the mosque-temple. Talk with the public schools on how the Elders of the mosque dictate on how the public schools are to be run.You would be shocked ! They talk about loving their neighbours. Well in reality they force you to do as they say or you should move. Once they have the numbers and build a mosque. It will be you that will be pushed out weather you like it or not. If the public only knew how the non Ahmadi children are being treated in a public school with large numbers of Ahmadi kids you would not applaud. The staff are not allowed to talk about it due to fear of losing their jobs. They all sign an affidavit stating they can’t speak about what goes on inside of a public school to media or anyone asking questions without permission from the head office.
A

-AMJ has placed 5 gag orders on members of the Bradford community
-They have litigated citizens to the tune of around half a million dollars
-There has been ongoing harassment, mischief and terror in the residents around 11th side road to the point that they’re terrified
-The Mayor and Deputy Mayor have gone on the record to defend AMJ despite being made aware of all these concerns.

We found out tonight that the Muslim people have been contributing $$$ to at least three councillors to get there support. (Conflict of interest)
I seen the anger on the faces of the Muslim people after the meeting tonight. I believe they were told to not say anything. Told to act like passive people so you don’t get concerned and ask more questions. The look on their faces said everything to me. They are angry and will have lots to say when the time is right for them. They have a hidden agenda and it is coming if we let them have their way.
This is just the beginning and Bradford could get lost in the end.

I have seen them in action in Vaughan. Maybe Bradford residents should speak with the community surrounding the mosque. Talk with the public schools on how the Elders of the mosque dictate on how the public schools are to be run.

I am sick of the passive aggressiveness that this group is portraying. The talk about LOVE for all, HATRED FOR NONE. Interesting as I’ve heard they have approached families and threatened some if they speak out against them! Disgusting!

Anna Nasa no worries. You can call it hate just like last night at the meeting when they called the residents of Bradford racist. I guess you can run with them then. It seems the etiquette you use is just like them. You call it hate or racism whenever you don’t get your way. Easy cop out. Enjoy your day. As I stated, you’re entitled to your opinion. It was interesting to see though last night, that when they were called out on it, they never answered. Criticisms are not hate or racism. Have a great day. I still have love for you.

How many writers of the letters to the Editor actually live here? The vote was taken and the verdict was NO. Will you pander to all peoples who don’t like a NO each and every time someway wants to install their way of life upon you? First they purchased the property to have their small cultural event at, then it was a cemetery, that fight was what? 10 years in the making? Now it’s a global event. Do you see any other group demanding to hold a global event in sleepy little Bradford? This group imposes itself into unsuspecting little towns, demanding and pushing until they get everything they want. They change the existing culture into something foreign to the established citizens already in Bradford, many who have been here a lifetime and more. The good friendly Canadians do not want to come out to a public meeting to be shamed and belittled. They have had enough with being made feel politically incorrect. They have had enough with seeing our culture disappear. Let’s remember our Heritage before it is ripped away by giving into demanding foreign groups. We all welcomed newcomers, we hoped they would retain their culture and slowly accept some of ours….. they did this…. the Irish, Dutch, German, Portuguese., we are better for it.They made our town, are we going to lose it to foreign groups imposing themselves upon us? People from foreign lands, here for two days? Now look at the cultural shift of Brampton? Let’s talk crime for starters. Do you really want to open our farmland to this? Ask yourself…. why here, when there are many event centres across Canada that are built for this. That in itself is a huge red flag. This is a difficult discussion to prevent labeling of the person’s against this event, but the fact of the matter is, we are all coming to hear of the people illegally entering our country to do harm. We can’t deny it, and gathering of groups who claim they only want to worship etc is alarming to me especially when so many hide under the falsehood of religion . Do we measure our life on the $$ spent in this town? Well, I’ll put it simply….. my family has given a lifetime, which doesn’t equate into dollars.

They bring nothing to the community, only segration, look at Brampton. They want to bring their home grown niceties to Bradford. Enough is enough. Integration into the Canadian identity is not what they do.

This situation is quite disappointing. As a Catholic who has attempted to organize a Catholic gathering, it is disheartening to be informed that the venue is unavailable for us. Meanwhile, it seems that others are able to host events for 15,000 people over three days in such a small town like Bradford. Given that the majority of Muslims are located in Brampton and surrounding areas, it raises concerns about the impact on traffic and road closures in our community.

Again???!!! Was not this very same thing discussed in multiple occasions??? What a nightmare!!! Please stop this nonsense once and for ever!!! Please leave this behind and work on what we really need in Bradford: transportation, sidewalks, traffic lights, etc.

Also is the Town prepared for the precedent they are going to set with an event of this size? I think I’ll start organizing this year’s Easter procession in Bradford.. after all it’s only 1 day and not downtown as one person mentioned. Would every non catholic of bradford like to have roads closed and the town flooded of people to participate in a religious event that they do not practice?

There was a lot that was left out from the public. They ordered their presentation carefully to work around the behind the door interactions that have occurred within their community and the residents. When I brought up just a handful, the speaker decided not to address any of the information I released to the public. A young woman also called those opposing the event racist, along with the mayor who had called his residents racists on an online podcast that was mysteriously deleted. The speaker made it clear they did not know much about agriculture after discussing with a resident about the plans for restoring the agriculture on the land, as well as ignored all the recommendations to hold the event at burls creek where the infrastructure is designed to hold such event, as well as it’s not in anybody’s backyards. The speaker had said to help the residents with traffic there would be “special passes” given to us to be able to get to our houses. Not only with that statement are they admitting the traffic was out of control but why are residents needing a pass to go back to the houses they own? The speaker also made a back handed comment back to me after addressing passive aggressive behaviour not only experienced by me and my family but multiple residents. They failed to address every sticky topic that any of the residents brought up and deflected those concerns, statements, or questions, with either calling on someone else or saying “we will look into it.” Their presentation was informative and professional but it’s not anything council or the residents haven’t heard before. Why can’t no be taken for an answer? Another resident brought up how she had previously come to council with an issue, it was voted against and she was told not to come back until a re election and she was told she couldn’t do a re vote, she explained how to respected that and didn’t push for a re vote. There is a lack of integrity in certain spots on council along with Biased opinion. The land was originally presented to be used for a Mosque and cemetery, now an annual event hosting up to 20,000 people? Where are crops going to be grown if that land is being used for several things with infrastructure? Again there is a lot happening behind closed doors and the town and AMJ made it clear they werent ready to hear about it.

Anna Nasa I’m not sure where in Bradford you live, but coming from someone who lives in and around the rural area where this takes place, I can tell you that it was utter chaos! The AMJ group is citing it to be even bigger this year and I personally don’t think that our rual roads are able to handle such heavy traffic not to mention Cottage country traffic on top. Heaven for bid something happens on the 400 North on the Friday afternoon there would be absolute grid lock. The 1 police officer that was directing traffic on the Friday could not properly or safety direct traffic. Just making a left onto the 11th going west from the 10th I had witnessed several near misses one being me. People were trying to use the soft dirt shoulder of the road to pass the line of cars and it was frustrating and dangerous!
It took a neighbor nearly an hour just to get out of her driveway as people were not letting her out.
For me it’s a safety issue and that is all. We saw what happens on our sideboards when a major road shuts down for 13 weeks or so and we had, what over 10 accidents! That I blame the Country of Simcoe for, still the amount of traffic was not suitable for a 2 lane road.
They had a successful event last year, but I think it’s better to find a different venue to host their conference that would be suitable for the heavy amount of traffic that we will see.

Anna Nasa Those one off road closures of Carrot Fest and and the Santa Parade is nothing compared to what happened.
I live off the 5th sideboard, it can be a tricky road to navigate at the best of times with narrow ways and a curving hill.
There were line of cars coming off of 27 down the 11th, over the 5th just to get to the 10th and vice vers, a line of cars stretching from hwy 11 coming west towards the 10th.
Its 4 roads with heavy traffic trying to get to one spot that had one way in!
So the traffic that you see in town was nothing and I’m sure if you were living in it like me and my family and friends who all live out on the 12th and surrounding areas you too would just understand. I was say the same thing if it was for any event! I wouldn’t want it.
I have been a resident of Bradford for 40 years and work locally for the the town, I appreciate and love the growth of our town but there is times when we need to take certain things into consideration.

It’s disappointing to see most of the negative comments being spread with the sole purpose of creating division. Bradford is a diverse community where people from all backgrounds live together in harmony, and it’s unfair to let the biased opinions of a few overshadow that. The organization and the town are following all the proper steps regarding the permit process. A ‘no’ to an application isn’t the end—there are legal ways to appeal, and that’s exactly what’s being done. Let’s trust the process and avoid spreading negativity that serves no purpose other than dividing our community. Let’s focus on building bridges, not walls. My suggestion is a hard No. Look for another Town to disrupt please&thankYou

If they keep asking maybe the council will give in and say yes. Every parent has experienced this.
Can we? No.
Can we please? No.
Please? Answer is still no.
Why not? I’ve told you why not.
Come on, we really want to do this.
I’ve said no, stop asking!

Daphne Young what if I have an issue in those days at my house? How would emergency services get to me? I pay taxes to have the services that should be provided. My safety shouldn’t be put on the back burner.

Daphne Young you didn’t see the thousands of cars that streamed along Line 11 each day of the event.

This is just ridiculous! If that’s in the records what is outside the records? Cash does not speak right.
Moreover, how can they be voting over and over and over on the same issue? When the residents wanted another vote to see if the of zoning in the property can stay as farm land instead of a cemetery they denied it! They didn’t ven considered it! I guess conflicts of interests existed even back then to progress agendas that do not benefit the people of Bradford.
It’s sad to see that the Mayor is not really listening to the residents who have lived here for generations, love this land and are trying to protect it.

Here is the article from last year… With some residences complaining that our traffic was backed up for as far as I could see & our town was in absolute chaos making our residents feel paralyzed in our own small town
Explaining that it’s completely unfair to us residents of the town
“ the organization had spent more than $1 million locally on the conference including roughly: $143,000 at Home Depot, $140,000 at Battlefield Rental, $115,000 at The Sarjeant Co., $100,000 at Gwillimdale Farms, $28,000 at Petro-Canada, $18,000 at Tim Hortons, plus more at Osmows, Walmart, Dollarama, Canadian Tire, Bradford Rental and more”
So once again money talks!
Unfortunately, I’m not allowed to post the article here but if you would like to read it, it is on barrietoday dot com !

Amber Rose As a homeowner in the last 6 years, I personally have spent about $12k at Battlefield, $22k at Sarjeant and a good portion of our $350k home renovation budget at Homedepot in Bradford. Heck, My family probably spends close to $100k yearly between CTC, Gas and restaurants, not including something like $16k in groceries, so tooting that a “0-star charity”, that is not “financially transparent and has poor reporting record” that received over $39 million in donations in 2022 spent a mere million in town is really not saying much.
Munawar Chudary, there are many King Township residents on this page because our township borders BWG and this event is supposed to take place 11 km outside our township. So, there are King residents who may be negatively impacted buy this event.

Just two simple questions on the AMJ Islamic insistence to have their event in Bradford:
1. They have been already said “no”. Why they can’t respect the decision like all of us when we are said no, and still insisting thinking that they deserve more than the rest of us? They do anything even above the law to FORCE the acceptance.
2. What would happen if a Christian people would like to held a religious event in any of their Islamic countries? What would be the response from their governments?
These people play this fake kindness but their actions reflect totally opposite intentions, besides all what is behind.
