One of the earliest sources that refutes MGA’s fake rule about Tawaffi is the Tafsir of Yahya Ibn Sallam, a 2nd century linguist and a mufassir (d. 200 A.H). Ibn sallam mentioned [physically taking/driving] as a meaning of [Tawaffi] referencing Al-Hasan Al-Basri’s interpretation.
