Abu Layth told many lies about what scholars believed in the past, take a look at my notes in the below.
Abu Layth didn’t address the issue of 4:158 being a physical lifting and not a raising in rank.

—5:00 minute mark, Mufti Abu Layth says that there is nothing to gain from these debates. Abu Layth goes on about Imam Malik and debates.
—14:00, Abu Layth says that Muslims have damaged the deen, have embarrassed the deen.
—15:00, Abu Layth alleges that Muhammad (Saw) didn’t mention Ayesha (ra) at age 6.
—18:18, Abu Layth says that this debate achieved nothing. Abu Layth alleged that this debate adds on the travesty and tragedy of Islam.
—19:03, Abu Layth has spoken to Sheikh Asrar Rashid on a number of occasions and 8 years ago, made a video about Eisa (as).
—20:45, Muslim areas of Birmingham were dirty, Sheikh Asrar Rashid had a team clean it up. Abu Layth admits to have owned a restaurant in Sparbrook.

—24:02, Muslims shouldn’t do these debates, it was a travesty and tragedy. Abu Layth disagrees with giving Qadiani’s a platform. Abu Layth accuses Adnan Rashid of also giving the Qadiani’s a platform. Aby Layth says the Qadiani’s embarrassed Adnan Rashid in Canada. However, Abu Layth is not at the big boy table and why don’t we ignore him. Abu Layth goes at Adnan Rashid. Abu Layth says when Adnan Rashid discusses MGA vs. the Qadiani’s, Adnan embarrassed them.
—27:18, Abu Layth says that MGA believed that Eisa (As) went up to heaven physically (with body and soul). Qadiani’s don’t believe this these days.
—29:20, Abu Layth alleges that Imam Malik said that Eisa (as) died. Abu Layth purposely mixed things up, he purposely was vague and said that Muslims (even Ahmad Rida Khan) admitted that there were differences of opinion, however, he doesn’t clarify how these same people agreed that 4:158 was a physical lifting to Allah. They all also believe in the physical return of Eisa (as). Abu Layth infers that Ibn Hazm and others said that Eisa (as) was on the cross (30:04), Abu Layth alleges that Muslims differed if Eisa (as) was risen with his body and soul and they disagree over if Eisa (as) will physically return (these are all lies). Abu Layth quotes Sharh al-Mawaqif by Sa’d al-Din al-Taftazani and alleges that he argued that he mentioned the differences. Abu Layth rejects the 2nd coming of Eisa (as).
—35:15, Abu Layth alleges that Ahmad Rida Khan called the alleged death of Eisa (as) as a non issue. However, Sheikh Asrar acknowledged that and told the Qadiani’s that we do takfeer over 4:158, not the alleged death of Eisa (As). At 36:15, Abu Layth lied about the beliefs of Ibn Ashur. Abu Layth alleges that Ibn Ashur that mutawafeeka means death!
—38:36, Abu Layth talks about the error of Sheikh Asrar Rashid on the Bab. Abu Layth says that Sheikh Asrar Rashid didn’t do well in the debate and will not recover.
—46:58, MGA was cross eyed.
—52:11, Abu Layth alleges that MGA suffered from mental health conditions. Abu Layth doesn’t understand, Sheikh Asrar Rashid accepted all of the debate demands from the Qadiani’s.
—55:42, Abu Layth plays a video wherein another Muslim talked bad about Sheikh Asrar Rashid for giving the Qadiani’s a platform. The alleged death and life of Eisa (as) had lots of differences. Abu Layth lies on Ahmad Rida Khan and infers that Ahmad Rida Khan didn’t takfeer the Qadiani’s on other issues.

—1:21:00, Abu Layth mentions Ibn Arabi. Barzakh is unconsciousness. The world is a simulation. Reality is being projected in the Barzakh. Abu Layth goes crazy!
—1:41:15, Abu Layth says that Ibn Arabi said that the world is just a manifestation of the names of Allah.
