The same former-Ahmadi keeps clutching at straws and they cope with being born in a cult. In this specific instance, these former-Ahmadi’s are calling Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri a liar, since he is a narrator in so many messianic hadith. However, they overlook the fact that reports concerning end-times figures like the Mahdi or the descent of Jesus are transmitted through multiple independent chains outside of al-Zuhri. Furthermore, colonists like Ignác Goldziher suggested that early figures like al-Zuhri compromised their independence under state patronage, occasionally generating or adapting traditions to suit political needs.
In 2020, Sheikh Asrar Rashid did mention how Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri added words to a narration about Fatima (ra) being angered with Abu Bakr (ra)(in Sahih Bukhari). However, this doesn’t disqualify Zuhri as a narrator. The same instance happens in terms of the father of Muhammad (Saw) being in the hell fire. However, some people tampered with his books!
