Lahore: 29 April. Today, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru came to Lahore as per the program. On the wish of Punjab Provincial Congress Committee (of Qadiani Jamaat), arrangements were made to welcome him by All India National League Corps. Since Congress wanted only five percent volunteers. That’s why about three percent from Qadianis and about two percent from Sialkot volunteers reached Lahore on May 28. The Qadian course reached at ten o’clock. There was a great demonstration by the police. In addition to a large number of constables, there were also big police officers. Soldiers from Qadian from Karkhas Come and stay together till Asr. At Ahmadia Hostel where arrangements were made to stay. Mr. Sheikh Bashir Ahmed (Qadiani) Advocate Lahore All India National League gave a short but concise speech in which he stated that today we have come to prove that through our actions that We are not behind anyone in the desire of freedom of our homeland. The performance of the Corps was so magnificent that everyone was praising it and people were saying that such a magnificent performance was rarely seen in Lahore. On the arrival of Pandit Ji, the corps came to Ahmedia Hostel for a regular march, and Sheikh Sahib again gave a speech there. The food arrangement was very good at Ahmadia Hostel which was hosted by Babu Ghulam Muhammad Sahib. Master Nazir Ahmed Superintendent Ahmadia Hostel also tried a lot for the luxury of the guests. The Qadiyan corps returned from the vehicle on 29th at nine o’clock.
