Intro
Ahmadiyya sources (Ahmadipedia) allege that Imam ud Din Sekhwani converted to Qadianism on 23 November, 1889, at the hand of the MGA with both of his brothers, Mian Khair-ud-Din (Dard, page 845) and Jamal ud Din Sekhwani (see Dard, page 845). His famous son is Maulvi J.D. Shams, he has related lots of info about his uncles. His father was Muhammad Siddiq Sekhwani (See Dard, page 856) was not an Ahmadi in 1896 but seems to have joined later and is mentioned as a donor for the proposed Minaret-ul-Masih (the minaret of the Messiah) in 1901. his mother Sharf Bibi and their father Muhammad Siddiq Sekhwani also accepted Ahmadiyyat as well as their sister Amir Bibi (more commonly known as Mai Kako). The latter remained in household service of MGA and his family. They were ethnically Kashmiri and that’s why they have the fore-title Khwaja and the surtitle Wyne (“n” is silent) around their names, but they lived in Punjab, India (See also Where did Jesus die?).
In 1897, the entire family was mentioned as “wool weavers” and as having donated 1 rupee each. Their names are listed as attendees at the public meeting to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee in Qadian, District Gurdaspur, with our Imam the Promised Messiah and Imam Mahdi. With contribution or without, and the names of the absentees who contributed. From June 20, 1897 to June 22, 1897 (see “A Gift for the Queen” aka “Tohfa-e-Qaisariyyah” see pages 59-69). Also in 1897, the entire family was mentioned as donor’s for the guest house and well at Qadian (see “Siraj-e-Munir”, pages 156-157).
In 1923, Mian Khair-ud-Din related a few stories that were archived in Seeratul Mahdi (1923).
In 1935, there seem to be lots of quotes from them also, via these Registers (via Tadhkirah).
In 1947, via Dard, it is alleged that Jamal ud Din Sekhwani was proposed to go on a preaching mission.
His grandsons are Dr. Salah ud Din Shams who was the first ever President of the Zion jamaat in the 1980’s. Another one is Munir ud Din Shams, he is currently working as a Qadiani-Ahmadi missionary in the UK and is a major editor of MGA’s books into english. He is also Additional Wakilut-Tasnif. Another is Falah ud Din Shams, who seems to live in the USA and has been the National Vice President of the entire USA-Jamaat, he was previously a President from their Chicago chapter. In 2024, he is listed as a “Director” for the Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam, USA, Inc.

His sister
Amir Bibi aka Mai Koko
His sister Amir Bibi (more commonly known as Mai Kako). The latter remained in household service of the Promised Messiah and his family. There is a story in SM about her. Once one of the daughters or may be one of the wives of the sons, of Mirza threw a fruit’s coat upon Mai Kaako. Mai Kaako starts abusing and cursing to them. MGA heard this and admonished Mai Kaako in a harsh way as he said it was a great insult for him and his family.

59) Miyan Imam-ud-Dinra of Sekhwan has recorded in his Pocket Book that the Promised Messiah stated:
I saw in my dream once that two well fed horses were tied in front of our outer house. They appeared to be Arabian horses. Then [I saw that] the Holy Prophet, on whom be the peace and blessings of Allah, was riding one of the horses and I was riding the other. We moved on fast like cavaliers and there was no slackness in our speed. Then I woke up.
