Intro
In the 1920’s, Ahmadi leadership, including Mirza Mahmood Ahmad (the 2nd Qadiani-Ahmadi Khalifa) and Sir Zafrullah Khan, proposed the “new blasphemy law” to India’s Viceroy, Lord Irwin. They also rallied to free Ilm-ud-Din, the first blasphemy killer (1929), and criticized his conviction through their publication, Al-Fazl.
This fact is accepted By Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad in his book Murder in the Name of Allah in the 1990’s.
