Intro
In the last few months (Nov-Dec-2025), Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy has been engaging Ahmadi’s in Calgary, Canada. Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy says that the Qadiani’s are playing games and aren’t serious about a conversation and keep bringing people who are unofficial. Soharwardy says that the Qadiani’s showed up in his masjid one day and began asking questions.
Later on, Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy says that he spoke to someone named Naeem Chaudhary, however, he refused to be noted as the leader of the local Ahmadi’s. Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy says that the strategy of the Qadiani jamaat is to confuse people. Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy says that he has known about the Qadiani’s and their tactics in Pakistan and if we talk about the heavens, they will talk about the opposite, the ground.
Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy says that Naeem Chaudhary wants a debate only for Ahmadiyya marketing and isn’t interested in the truth. Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy says that he is available for an academic discussion, not these games.
At 4:43, Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy shows a letter that the Qadiani’s sent him, which is in Urdu. There are 13 rules, however, all of these were made by the Qadiani’s. Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy says that he accepted all of these rules. However, he added 3 rules, and it seems like the Qadiani’s said NO. Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy repeats that the Ahmadiyya Movement is doing a “Tamasha” (performative dance) and he doesn’t do things like this. Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy also called Qadiani behavior as a “popularity contest”.
This seems to have started 4 weeks ago (Nov-12), Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy talks about an “Akhree Nabi Conference” (held on May-2-2025), which was held at the Green Dome Mosque in Calgary, Canada. He mentioned how some 30-40 Qadiani’s unexpectedly showed up and asked many questions. Naeem Chaudhary was there too. At 4:17, Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy explains how in Canada, the Ahmadiyya Movement masquerades as a sect (firqa) of Islam. However, that is not the case. At 6:31, Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy explains how there is no connection between Islam and Qadianism. Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy says that some people accidentally go to an Ahmadiyya temple, thinking it’s a mosque. At 10:08, Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy says that the most authentic sources are from the sahaba or the “Ahle-Bait” (house of Muhammad, saaw). They seem to have had a zoom meeting with the Qadiani’s. Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy says that in that meeting, he told the Qadiani’s that they must stick to the meanings of Islam as given by the sahaba (companions) and ahle bait. The Qadiani’s then went back and added more rules. They wanted Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy and the Islamic orgs that he works for to acknowledge that the Qadiani’s are in fact a sect of Islam. He points out the irony in such a request, he says that he has never considered Ahmadi’s as a sect of Islam and that is where we started. Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy says it’s the ijma-e-ummah that the Qadiani’s are non-Muslim. At 13:50, he asks an important question, Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy asks what is only MGA who knows the Quran? Not the Sahaba? Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy elaborates on the importance of quoting the sahaba and the family of Muhammad (saw).
On Nov 19, 2025, Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy gives updates on his interaction with the Qadiani’s of Calgary. At 2:48, Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy says that after 9-11, the Qadianis were silent, he knows the full history of the Qadiani’s. At 8:01, he reiterates that he wants the Qadiani’s to agree to only quote the sahaba or the family of Muhammad (saaw). At 11:30, he says that he is an engineer and a qualified Maulvi, but not some average Maulvi like Ahmadi’s think. Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy says that the Qadianis responded and alleged that the sahaba had disagreement on some topics, at which point Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy issued a challenge to the Qadiani’s to prove it! Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy says that the sahaba never disagreed on “Aqida”, they could disagree on other matters (froe-ee). At 18:30, Prof. Imam Syed Badiuddin Soharwardy says that the Qadiani’s believe that “Khatamun Nabiyeen” means a “mohr” that can be given out. At 22:16, he mentions 61:6, and hints and knowing some insider information.
