Intro
In 2026 (Jul), Maulvi Razi streamed and alleged that 29:50 of the Quran (29:51 in the Kadiani Koran) this denial of a sign was specific to this single incident and shouldn’t be taken as a general rule. Maulvi Razi alleges that the people specifically wanted “punishment” (MGA made the same argument)(See “3 Questions by a Christian”, pages 11-12). Maulvi Razi alleges that Muhammad (Saw) completed 1000+ miracles (MGA said 3000). Maulvi Razi than attacks Jesus Christ of the Bible and alleges that he completed no miracles (just like MGA).

Commentary:
In the Quran by the sign demanded by disbelievers is meant generally the sign of punishment. This meaning is clear from vv. 54, 55& 56 below. To this demand of disbelievers the Holy Prophet is commanded to say that it is not for him to fix the time when punishment should come, because he is only a Warner whose duty is confined to warning them that if they persisted in their rejection of the Divine Message and did not mend their ways they will perish

And they namely the disbelievers of Mecca say ‘Why has not some sign been sent down to him to Muhammad (s) from his Lord?’ āyatun ‘sign’ a variant reading has āyātun ‘signs’ such as the she-camel of Sālih or the staff of Moses or the Table of Jesus. Say to them ‘Signs are only with God and He sends them down as He will and I am only a plain warner’ making manifest my warning of the punishment of the Fire for disobedient people.
