Intro
This is an excerpt from a book called Al Furqan by Maulana Abul Atta Jalandari who was a missionary of Jamat Ahmadiyya and the father of Ataul Mujeeb Rashed (Imam of the London Mosque). Here he relates the following:

Once Maulana Nooruddin said that Afghan women’s chadar is exactly that covering which the Quran requires. You cannot see the face. And only in order to see the way is there an opening for the eyes to see. According to Maulana Nooruddin in this way men will not see the woman. For this reason, he did not like ordinary burkas because the gaze remains straight and is not lowered.

However, it should be noted that MGA let his young wife walk around at a train station without the veil. At the same time, MGA complained about the lack of veil in Europe and alleged that people in London were having sex like dogs (See Malfuzat-2, online English edition, pages 164-165). Even in 2018, Masroor was saying the same.
