Intro
Mian Abdul Rahman was mentioned by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad in his 1903 book, “Tadhkiratu-Shahadatain”. MGA claimed that Mian Abdul Rahman was the second Ahmadi killed for being an Ahmadi, however, he didn’t give the dates. MGA was claiming that Syed Abdul Latif (died in july of 1903) was the first Ahmadi killed for his faith and Mian Abdul Rahman (died in 1901) the second. However, this is incorrect, since B.A. Rafiq (See the Afghan Martyrs) acknowledges that Mian Abdul Rahman was killed by King Ameer Abdur Rahman Khan (died on 10-1-1901). The new Amir, King or Khalifa, whatever you wish to call him was Habibullah Khan was the person who ordered the execution of Syed Abdul Latif.

It should be noted that in 1903, MGA also wrote Mian Abdul Rahman and Mian Abd-ur-Rahman and thus confused all of his readers. In “Tadhkiratu-Shahadatain”, MGA was claiming that he had gotten a revelation in the Barahin era (1879-1884) which was about these 2 killings. In “Tadhkiratu-Shahadatain”, MGA was claiming that he had gotten a revelation in the Barahin era (1879-1884) which was about these 2 killings. In this book, MGA claims that the “2-goat prophecy” was meant to be about Mian Abd-ur-Rahman and Maulawi Muhammad Abdul Latif (aka Syed Abdul Latif). He said it again in 1906-07 via Haqiqatul Wahy. However, a few years earlier, MGA had claimed that the “2-goat prophecy” was about Ahmad Baig and his son-in-law, Sultan Muhammad. MGA allegedly has another revelation in connection with the “2-goat prophecy“, this was a 3-goat prophecy. In the 1960’s, the Ahmadi imam Jalal ud Din Shams claimed that the 3-goat prophecy was fulfilled in the execution of Maulavi Ni‘matullah Khan (on August 31, 1924), and Maulavi ‘Abdul-Halim and Qari Nur ‘Ali on February 12, 1925 (See al-Fadl, February 21, 1925, p. 1, quoted in Tarikh-e-Ahmadiyyat, vol. 5, p. 475 via Tadhkirah and the ROR of Dec-1933).

MGA went on to claim that Ahmadi’s reported to him that cholera had broke out the very next day after Syed Abdul Latif was executed. Thus, MGA was always claiming that cholera was a punishment from God. Thus, when MGA died in 1908 via cholera, he sealed his own fate. In 1995, B.A. Rafiq called him Moulvi Abdur Rahman, however, its unclear as to where he got his credentials to be a Moulvi. In 1907, MGA wrote his name as Sheikh ‘Abdur-Rahman.

In “Tadhkiratu-Shahadatain”, MGA claims that roughly around July-1901, Mian Abdul Rahman had been visiting Qadian and reporting back to Syed Abdul Latif.

He was dead in this same year. Per Ahmadiyya sources only, he was killed via strangulation and by King Ameer Abdur Rahman Khan (died on 10-1-1901).
